I Can Program My Body?
Chapter 330: Competing For Resouce Point
CHAPTER 330: COMPETING FOR RESOUCE POINT
After handing Skylar four obsidian devastators and the tax required to pay the Aqua team, Nash decided against trading the information they had about resource points.
They were still too weak. Once the information about them easily finding those resource points was leaked, the trouble would be endless.
Although other teams could also find them, they were not as efficient.
Having the [Control Module System] to control those prospecting dark technology, their efficiency was beyond even the top teams.
If not for their current strength, unable to break through those top resource points, they might have already started mining them.
"Be careful on your way..." Nash said, seeing Skylar about to leave.
"Hmm... I’ll come back soon."
Bolting away, Skylar disappeared over the horizon.
---
A few hours later, Skylar returned without any issues.
"Have you traded the war weapon we need?"
"I got it!" Skylar said with a nod.
"Good, take it out and let me see."
As Skylar took out the Tier 5 war weapon, Nash quickly checked to see if there were any tracking measures in it.
Although the Aqua team guaranteed their safety, it was only within the training fair.
After the trade, it was up to them to solve whatever problems arose.
Using his genetic ability, Nash quickly scanned the three Tier 5 war weapons for any hidden problem.
Seeing no suspicious runic commands mixed in with the bunch, Nash sighed in relief.
"It seems the one you traded with is quite reliable."
"Indeed, I checked their reputation before buying anything," Skylar explained.
He wasn’t some foolish young master.
Knowing there might be a trap, he checked the war weapons multiple times and even paid extra to have them inspected by the Aqua Team’s experts.
"The Aqua Team is really good at doing business. They even offer inspection services," Nash smiled, hearing his explanation.
To pay for the tax and other various services, they only needed to pay the Aqua Team some merits.
Although it was a large amount, in this dark plane, where they couldn’t be used for trade, they were somewhat useless.
Once they advanced to the Void General rank and then to the Void Venerate rank, merits could only be used as a mere replenishment of energy, not for training.
To advance to a higher realm, one needed concentrated elemental energy.
Unfortunately, merits were too mixed to be useful for this purpose.
Of course, there was a solution: an elemental merit converter, provided by the Void Administrator once the shelter reached level 5.
Turning merits into elements or laws, as long as the shelter level was sufficient enough, the Void Administrator would provide all kinds of conveniences.
Having checked the three Tempest Crushers, all the other 15 Void Venerates boarded the new war weapons!
Although they weren’t speed-type, they were decent enough to keep up with Tsuka’s marching speed.
Compared to the Obsidian Devastator, the Tempest Crusher was like a normal car compared to a tractor.
Able to increase their pace multiple times, they should be able to reach their destination in a week.
"It’s indeed worth it that we exchanged for these Tempest Crushers!" Nash smiled, watching their speed.
Although slightly weaker than the Obsidian Devastator in raw power, its agility was more than enough to compensate.
---
Soon, passing through the treacherous land, facing multiple threats from dark beasts and other cosmic teams, a week quickly passed.
However, just as they were about to reach their destination, an enemy appeared.
"Another Cosmic Team?" Nash muttered with a frown.
This time, they couldn’t just run and detour.
Based on the direction the enemy team was heading, it seemed their destination was the same as theirs.
"Deploy all the war weapons! We’re facing an enemy..."
Since they couldn’t detour, they could only fight.
The light-type resources were too important for them to give up.
Deploying all the war weapons they could, Nash controlled all the Spiral Behemoths to sneak up and surround the enemy.
Unfortunately, unlike the previous darkness where they could easily bypass the enemy, this time they were easily detected.
"Not enough..."
Since the Spiral Behemoth couldn’t reach the core of the enemy, Nash summoned his Wind Celestial Beast to sneak in.
Although not as stealthy as the Void Celestial Beast, being an elemental being, it should still be able to slip by unnoticed.
"Let’s go, prepare to meet the enemy," Nash ordered, signaling Skylar, Natasha, Hobis, and the other top fighters in the team to follow him.
Besides him, the Void Venerate of the Nova Team had already reached 17.
Relieving Natasha and Hobis of duty, they joined Nash to face the leader of the other cosmic team.
This meeting was a tradition, an unspoken rule.
Whether to negotiate or continue fighting, both leaders of the Cosmic Teams had to face each other first.
Although one could break this unspoken rule and attack the enemy directly, it would incur the alienation of all the other teams.
The top teams might even teach the rule-breaker a lesson.
"I’m Kell, from the Lyra Team. What about you? How do you think we should settle this?" Kell started, studying Nash’s team with interest.
"Lyra Team? We’re from the Nova Team. Since we’re both in the Top Thousand Ashura Ranking, how about we send our strongest in each realm to fight?" Nash suggested.
He didn’t want any needless bloodshed if they could settle things more amicably.
"Oh, the Nova Team?"
Having memorized all sectors in the top ten thousand, Kell quickly recalled the rank of the Nova Sector: 6,513.
Meanwhile, their rank barely reached 8,500.
Just based on that alone, Kell knew they were no match for the Nova Team in a direct confrontation.
As for a one-on-one? Kell still had confidence in the talents of the Lyra Sector.
"Let’s do as you suggested. From Tier 2 Void General to Tier 5 Void Venerate. Are you in?"
Although the Lyra Team had a Void Marshal, it was a trump card they must absolutely avoid using.
"Sure. Let’s finish this quickly..."
