I Can Program My Body?
Chapter 71: Investing
CHAPTER 71: INVESTING
Three hours later, William lay on the ground with a look of unwillingness.
"How is this possible? I can’t even beat a White Rabbit?"
"Boss Noir! You must be cheating me. How could a rabbit have such strength?"
For almost three hours straight, William fought Nash, simulating a White Rabbit without a single win.
Although he could already dodge and counterattack, everything was neutralized by the dexterity of Nash’s simulated dark beast.
"How could I cheat you? The simulation I created is perfect. As long as a White Rabbit had enough brains and combat sense, it could do the same." Nash said with confidence.
How could he make a mistake in his simulation?
Nash had already fully written the movement patterns of the White Rabbit into the [Combat Module System].
It could be said that his simulation was a 1:1 replication of a real White Rabbit.
"Then why can’t I beat you? I can kill a White Rabbit in one punch!" William complained.
Even if surrounded by White Rabbits, he could crush them all without taking a scratch.
"That’s because our strength was equal, and coupled with my combination skills, it wouldn’t be easy for you to win."
Nash only simulated the skills of a White Rabbit, not its combat strength.
Using the same skills, it was like Nash was using a smurf account fighting a fully equipped player.
"Alright, alright! You win! But next time, I’ll defeat that White Rabbit simulation of yours to a pulp!" William vowed, clenching his fist.
Although he lost the battle, he could feel his combat skills improving.
The way he used his techniques, moved his body, and thought in the middle of battle was getting sharper, as though he was evolving into a legendary warrior.
After a few more sessions like this, he felt like he could conquer the Silver Forest with his eyes closed.
Thinking he was about to complete the trial set by his father, William couldn’t help but feel excited.
Spending 10,000 Void Crystals for such a monstrous tutor was really worth it.
Unfortunately, Nash didn’t have enough time to spare for him.
"Can we spar two more hours, Boss? I feel like I’m about to make a breakthrough!" William pleaded.
"No time. I still have to rest for tomorrow’s hunt in the Dark Plain."
Rest was necessary for his soul to recuperate from the exposure to the Dark Plane.
Otherwise, Nash would’ve been more than happy to squeeze in a few extra hours of training.
"Can I join you again tomorrow? I’ll let you borrow the weapon again!"
"Sure~"
"Great!" William shouted happily, transferring the money to Nash.
Soon after confirming he’d received 30,000 Void Crystals from his bank account, Nash bid William goodbye.
---
Returning to the real world, Nash quickly fell asleep.
With his body and mind in deep rest, he woke up fully refreshed in just six hours.
Stretching his body, he started the first half of his daily training.
Although there were the Dark Plane merits that could directly strengthen his body, Nash wouldn’t neglect his physical training as he manually absorbs void energy.
This kind of training allowed him to quickly acclimate to his body and get used to his rapidly increasing power.
At this stage, with the [Training Module System] automatically controlling his body, Nash would also begin identifying the embedded runic commands within it.
Although he hadn’t finished studying all 2,322 embedded runic programs yet, he was already preparing for the next stage.
From runic programs, runic commands, and runic patterns, he still had a long way to go.
So far, through his daily exercises, he had already identified over ten thousand runic commands.
Once he recognized all the runic commands, even if he didn’t learn them, it would bring massive benefits to his Runic Modules.
Just as he was busy training, he heard some commotion outside the window.
"Hah! Come on, run! Don’t stop until you can’t feel your legs anymore!"
"Why are you slowing down? How can you win in the Cosmic Competition with that attitude?! How will you repay Chancellor Nash?!"
"Leo! Show them how it’s done! Where’s your fighting spirit?!"
Turning toward the window, he saw Michael training his students, making them run across the field while wearing weighted vests.
"Not bad..." Opening the window, Nash complimented them.
Based on the time and their sweats, they must have woken up a few hours earlier than him.
"Chancellor Nash! You’re awake already?" Michael greeted with surprise.
It was only five o’clock, yet Nash was already drenched in sweat. He could only imagine how much training Nash had already done.
"As they say, the early bird catches the worm." Nash smiled.
"That’s right!" Michael nodded in agreement.
If they didn’t train early, how could they catch up to those talents much superior to them?
---
After finishing his morning training, Nash called the team for a few words.
"Since you’re already here, I’ll give you your funding for the week," Nash said directly.
The package Camilla had delivered would still take a few days to arrive.
Furthermore, since he was the one who suggested resuming the Elite Training Program, how could he not make a few investments?
"Thank you, Chancellor Nash!" Michael quickly shouted, motioning for his students to follow his lead.
"Thank you, Chancellor Nash!"
"Alright, no need to be so formal." Nash waved his hand as he asked for Michael’s Nova Bank account.
Although people on Earth couldn’t make any transactions with other planets and civilizations due to its lack of autonomy, they could still withdraw void crystals.
With void crystals in hand, their training progress should double or even triple.
"Uh... I don’t have a Nova Bank account..." Michael smiled bitterly.
He was just an instructor; how could he have thousands of void crystals to open an account in such a prestigious bank?
Most of the funds for the Elite Training Program had always come directly from the Earth Alliance Government.
"I see. Then I’ll have the Nova Bank create an account for you. Just sign the paperwork later."
As long as one had money, the Nova Bank was very accommodating.
Having over 30,000 void crystals freshly credited to his account, creating one for Michael would be no problem.
After chatting a bit more with Michael and his students, Nash took his leave, preparing to enter the Dark Plane.
---
Soon after logging into the Virtual World, Nash first created a Nova Bank account for Michael.
Although he could’ve done the same on Earth, the process required him to be present in person.
In the virtual world, after entering Michael’s details, coordinates, and sending 10,000 void crystals to the new account, the Nova Bank on Earth would process the rest.
After finishing everything, Nash headed to the Dark Plane.
