I Can See All The Bosses' Drops
Chapter 292 - 273 Abyss Demon Race
CHAPTER 292: CHAPTER 273 ABYSS DEMON RACE
The Abyss Demon Race is a unique race fundamentally not belonging to this planet.
The so-called abyss is merely a term used by the ancients of the Rafam Continent to describe the world in which this self-styled Demon Race resides.
It also allows people to understand through this name why they (the Demon Race) covet this fertile and beautiful planet, Rafam.
Abyss, meaning a place of danger or hardship.
In the world where the Demon Race exists, it is shrouded in darkness all year round, with barely any sunlight. Coupled with scarce resources and the rapid reproduction of the Demon Race, they have long sought a planet to replace their current world.
This is why, when they accidentally discovered the Rafam Continent, they launched an all-out, frenzied attack without hesitation.
In the level system of the Abyss Demon Race, as Lin Yi knew, it is divided as follows:
One Emperor: the true ruler behind the Abyss Demon Race. Referred to as: the Demon Emperor.
Two Emperors: the left and right arms of the Demon Emperor, also the actual controllers of the Demon Race’s war against Rafam. Referred to as: the Demon Emperor.
Five Lords: the leaders of the five main factions of the Abyss Demon Race. Referred to as: the Demon Lord.
Ten Kings: the absolute main force in the Demon Race’s conquest of the Rafam Continent, each leading a large army of the Demon Race. Referred to as: the Demon King.
The Demon Race Commander Samael, whom Lin Yi saw in the Illusion Realm of the Werewolf Race, is one of the ten Demon Kings.
Beneath the Demon King are the Demon Monarch, Demon General, Demon Spirit, Demon, and the countless lower-level Demon creatures.
The Fog Demon who twice interacted with Lin Yi and wanted to capture Lin Yi into the Abyss belonged to the Demon Monarch level of the Demon Race.
In appearance, the Abyss Demon Race has many similarities with humans.
Whether by fate or fate’s design, in the Abyss Demon Race, the higher-ranking a Demon is, the more human-like its form becomes.
Conversely, the lower the rank among the Demon Race, the more ugly and grotesque their appearance.
In the Demon Race, except for the lowest-level Demon creatures, from a Demon onwards, they already possess a certain degree of intelligence.
When one evolves into a Demon Spirit, their intelligence is already no different from an ordinary person.
The Demon Race feeds on flesh, but on the dim planet of the Abyssal Demon Realm, fresh beast meat is always a luxury only the Demon Monarch and above are qualified to enjoy.
Below the Demon Monarch, the Demons can only sustain themselves by sharing the lowest-level Demon creatures to survive.
If they are unable to stomach those ugly, disgusting Demon creatures, they can rely on a special crystal stone energy unique to the Abyssal Demon Realm to sustain their vitality.
Although this kind of crystal stone seems inexhaustible, under the strict control of the higher-ranking Demons, it is not something you can use at will.
At most, it gives you only a certain amount daily, ensuring you do not die.
Trapped in the dark abyss, when these Demon Race creatures learned about the existence of the Rafam Continent, they most yearned for sunlight and fresh flesh.
Although the first invasion ended in failure, they were not discouraged. From top to bottom, the Demon Race in the entire Abyssal Demon Realm is hoarding power, preparing for the second invasion war.
In the Demon Race’s system, the Demon General is the core force of the vanguard. When a Demon Spirit grows to the Fourth Transformation (Level 40), it becomes a Demon General of the Demon Race.
When becoming a Demon General, one automatically gains the right to command Demon Spirits and below Demon creatures.
Although in the Demon Race’s level system, a Demon General is just a high-ranking slave with a certain degree of freedom.
However, compared to other Demons such as Demon Spirits and below, a Demon General can at least have a place of its own.
It no longer has to crowd in a very cramped space with those filthy Demon Spirits, breathing unpleasant air.
Bachman is one of the countless Demon Generals in the Abyss Demon Race.
Like all members of the Demon Race, he grew from the lowest-level Demon creature in that harsh survival environment, slowly becoming a Demon General today.
He thought he would, like many Demon Generals, live a hard life in the Abyssal Demon Realm and possibly become one in a million to advance to a Demon Monarch, or live until his end like most Demon Generals.
Unexpectedly, he could know of the existence of the Rafam Continent in his lifetime and was lucky to participate in it, coming to this world like paradise to the Demon Race.
Here, he no longer has to endure endless darkness.
Here, he no longer has to gnaw on those disgusting counterparts (Demon creatures).
Here, he can eat fresh flesh and breathe clean air at all times.
To any creature that lived within the Demon Race, this place is an unimaginable paradise, even in dreams.
He loves everything here, especially the fragrant flesh here.
Bachman belongs to the domain of Demon Monarch Boruzak, who is a subordinate of the Heaven-Devouring Demon King Hahn, one of the ten Demon Kings.
After the Demon Race invaded the Rafam Continent, Bachman, like other tribesmen, under the leadership of Demon Monarch Boruzak, slaughtered and devoured everything before them that was not of the Demon Race.
At that moment, Bachman considered that he might die at the hands of the supposed strong ones of the Hundred Races, like many Demon companions.
But the enormous temptation to enjoy this land forever had long pushed the threat of death to the back of his mind.
Perhaps moved by his heroic and fearless spirit, he gained the favor of the God of Fortune.
One night, Bachman and many companions quietly sneaked into a gigantic Hundred Races City under the leadership of various Demon Monarchs, and then unfolded a massacre that lasted for several years.
Many companions were counter-killed by the strong ones of these races during this slaughter, forever remaining on this land.
Yet Bachman once again gained the favor of the God of Fortune, allowing him to survive this feast-like massacre.
Subsequently, this gigantic city ultimately fell under the control of several Demon Monarchs, with the Demon Race becoming the rulers of this paradise city.
Some of the remaining Hundred Races creatures were imprisoned in dark dungeons by Demon Monarchs, becoming a continuous food source for these Demons.
Of course, Bachman was among these Demons.
After the Demon Race occupied this city, perhaps due to the ferocity of the battle, the Teleportation Array was damaged.
Bachman also learned at that point that this enormous city actually floated above the ocean.
Lost the Teleportation Array, meaning these Demons could not leave from here.
However, later, Bachman and other Demons were extremely grateful for the damage to the Teleportation Array.
Precisely because of this, these Demons no longer had to be sent to the battlefield to live a life of nine deaths.
They enjoy everything here:
With sunshine, flowers, and plants;
With an endless ocean;
With cozy cottages;
With delicious food...
Bachman originally thought he would quietly await death here until one day a human suddenly appeared, breaking the peace that had lasted for hundreds of years.
