I Can See All The Bosses' Drops
Chapter 539 - 525: The Eve of the Border War
CHAPTER 539: CHAPTER 525: THE EVE OF THE BORDER WAR
The Glory of the Gods game’s National War version finally launched at noon on this day after much anticipation.
The official name for the current version is: Heroes Struggle for the Deer.
This time, the game’s downtime update took three hours, and following the update, the well-known National War system was made available.
Each player can travel to various battle zones through the Teleportation Array in the Floating City.
However, they appear in other battle zones in a red-name status, allowing players in that zone to attack them without penalty and even gain Honor Points.
Additionally, according to previous announcements, every battle zone has a corresponding Border City that players can choose to enter.
Furthermore, the long-awaited world dungeon, Giant Dragon’s Nest.
It is currently the only large-scale dungeon that supports hundred-player battles, though it is still in a closed state at the moment.
According to the settings, the dungeon will be opened in seven days.
A new list has been announced as well: Battle Zone Strength Ranking, which updates every 24 hours.
The ranking is based on the number of Border Cities from other battle zones occupied by a zone. Only the top five zones on the list that occupy at least one Border City are eligible to enter the dungeon.
The dungeon introduces exclusive Dragon Scale Armor sets, Dragon Wings (flying equipment), Dragon Eggs for each profession, and a chance of Legendary Quality equipment dropping, all of which are coveted by countless players.
It can be imagined that, even just for the qualification to enter the dungeon, fierce battles for Border Cities are inevitable.
Even though the dungeon hasn’t gone live, the market has already seen various voices offering high prices to acquire dungeon equipment.
Of course, so far, this is just a gimmick.
Besides this, a new option has been added to the game, allowing each player to change their battle zone once—only once.
To prevent an overflow of players in one zone, each zone has a population cap, preventing further changes to that zone once the limit is reached.
As for the cap for each battle zone, the official announcement did not disclose it.
On the day the game opened, the liveliest locations, apart from each battle zone’s Border City, were the centers for battle zone changes.
If a battle zone change is confirmed, a player’s login ID will be permanently transferred to that zone, including the game forum and similar features.
Posts suddenly appeared on the Hua Country Battle Zone game forum:
[Goryeo Battle Zone] players transferring to [Hua Country Battle Zone], please check in~ Posted by: Tang Batian
[Indonesia Battle Zone] players transferring to [Hua Country Battle Zone], please check in~ Posted by: Haji
[He Clan Battle Zone] players transferring to [Hua Country Battle Zone], please check in~ Posted by: Xiu
And so on~
Below these posts are players from various battle zones transferring into the Hua Country Battle Zone, including many overseas Chinese and some players who were bullied in other zones.
However, the Hua Country Battle Zone has a welcoming attitude towards these transferring players, with harmonious comments below.
Tang Batian, who had just posted, suddenly noticed a very familiar name in a comment: Yuna!
Afraid he was seeing things, Tang Batian confirmed multiple times that it wasn’t some name with spaces and punctuation:
"It’s really Yuna, my gosh!"
At the Teleportation Array Plaza in Cyan Dragon City, Yuna had just exited the game forum and looked around curiously:
"So this is Cyan Dragon City!"
This was Yuna’s first time visiting the main city of the Hua Country Battle Zone. As she observed the cultural scenery here, she suddenly spread her arms, took a deep breath, and sighed:
"The feeling of freedom, it’s wonderful."
Meanwhile, some players gathered around and said:
"Hey, beauty, you’re from another battle zone, right?"
"Do you need us to show you the enthusiasm of our Hua Country players?"
"Yeah yeah, brothers will take you to a dungeon."
Yuna gave these people a charming smile and said:
"No need, thank you!"
Then Yuna squeezed through the crowd and headed towards the Teleportation Array.
...
Besides the known content above, the official announcement didn’t add any other content with this game downtime update.
But no one felt surprised or concerned about this, except for one person: Lin Yi!
Although the officials gave no explanation, Lin Yi always had a hunch that this update was definitely not as simple as it seemed.
At this time, Lin Yi was with Tian Ci and others, gathered in an inn next to the Teleportation Array Plaza in the Floating City.
The inn has five floors, with a charge of 10 Gold Coins per level, per person.
In other words, if one wants to reach the top floor, it costs 50 Gold Coins, a considerable luxury for ordinary players.
However, from the top floor of the inn, one can overlook the Teleportation Array Plaza and the nearby stall area entirely.
The view was remarkably open, and at a glance, there were players from various battle zones and races.
The scene was akin to the flourishing times of the Hundred Races City, with races gathered together, and the calls of players from the stall area were clear.
While the place is good, its high price means it’s usually not crowded.
Lin Yi’s group was sitting here when Shuai Diao Zha curiously asked:
"Weren’t we going to check out the United States Battle Zone? Why are we here?"
Lin Yi replied with a mysterious look:
"To wait for our new teammate."
"New teammate!"
Tian Ci suddenly thought of the woman he had seen at the café earlier:
"It’s her!"
Shuai Diao Zha and others were taken aback and looked at Tian Ci with curiosity:
"Do you know who it is?"
In response, Tian Ci shook his head and said:
"I only know it’s a woman, but I’m not sure who."
Lin Yi, who was observing the throngs at the Teleportation Array Plaza below, suddenly smiled and said:
"Here she comes."
Everyone immediately craned their necks to look at the bustling, market-like plaza below:
"Let me see, where is she."
At this moment, Xiao He suddenly felt emotional:
"I’m finally not the last person to join our Mercenary Corps."
Meanwhile, the sound of someone on the stairs aroused everyone’s spirits:
"She’s here!"
As Yuna, clad in a gray-black robe, appeared coolly in front of everyone, Tian Ci instantly recognized one of the notable figures from the Goryeo Battle Zone:
"Yuna!"
...
In the United States Battle Zone, just like the Hua Country Battle Zone, there are a total of eight Border Cities.
Each Border City is numbered from 1 to 8.
In fact, the Border Cities of each battle zone are numbered with digits.
When the game resumed operations, many players had already flocked to these eight Border Cities.
Human curiosity towards new things is the same worldwide.
Although called Border Cities, each one looks like a small city, complete with shops selling various supplies—perhaps the only NPCs in Border Cities.
The number 7 Border City in the United States is located between two peaks, surrounded by steep cliffs except for this city.
A kilometer away from the number 7 Border City is a large open platform in the forest, with a Teleportation Array emitting a faint glow at its center.
Suddenly, the Teleportation Array emitted a brilliant light, and a group of over a dozen people appeared on the platform, followed by Lin Yi’s voice:
"Everyone, familiarize yourself with this area first. We will enter the United States Battle Zone from this Border City tonight."
