I Can See All The Bosses' Drops
Chapter 543 - 529: Heading to the Gravel Plain
CHAPTER 543: CHAPTER 529: HEADING TO THE GRAVEL PLAIN
"Perhaps you could tell me what you’re doing in my battle zone, maybe I could help you?"
Satan J stood on the dragon’s back, looking at Lin Yi, with a stern expression.
Lin Yi also stood on the Elf Dragon’s back, looking back at him across the distance and said:
"If I say I’m here for fun, would you believe me?"
At this moment, Tyler had already returned with his men and quickly surrounded Lin Yi from all sides.
Tyler exclaimed in disbelief:
"Didn’t you just die?"
At this moment, those players who had just been killed by Tian Ci and others came rushing back right after being resurrected, anxiously saying:
"Bad news, Feng Hua and the others have escaped the city."
"Damn it!"
Tyler glanced at Satan J, then looked at that player deity and asked:
"Which way did they go?"
Someone pointed in the direction Tian Ci and others had left:
"This way."
"All those who can slay gods, come with me!"
Tyler immediately formed a team, with some riding horses and others flying, rapidly pursued in that direction.
Satan J looked at Lin Yi in surprise:
"Aren’t you going to help them?"
Just now, Satan J had been watching Lin Yi’s actions attentively, ready to make a move at any moment.
But strangely, Lin Yi remained incredibly calm throughout:
"I trust them."
According to the plan, once they are out of this city, it would be like a bird flying freely in the sky.
As long as they don’t enter the city, Lin Yi believed they could evade these people’s pursuit, so long as they strictly followed the route Lin Yi had laid out beforehand.
Lin Yi chose to come over at midnight for a reason.
Satan J helplessly smiled slightly:
"How about this, you tell me what you’re here for, and I’ll let you in without interference!"
Lin Yi countered with a question:
"If I really wanted to leave, do you think you could stop me?"
In fact, even if it came to that, adding Satan J and these people still wouldn’t be able to keep him here.
Satan J’s smile froze for a moment, but Lin Yi continued:
"Do you know why I’m staying here to wait for you?"
Satan J:
"Why?"
Lin Yi’s tone suddenly turned cold:
"Don’t overreach, or you’ll find yourself grabbing onto things you shouldn’t, unable to retract."
After a slight pause, Satan J quickly recalled what he had previously asked Divine Hall Yingying to do.
He guessed that probably that woman had already approached the few people around Lin Yi.
However, even so, Satan J still nonchalantly smiled:
"Thanks for the concern, I’ll keep an eye on it."
Lin Yi took a deep look at Satan J, the Elf Dragon let out a dragon’s roar, and turned to fly into the sky.
Meanwhile, the players of the United States War Zone below stared blankly at Satan J.
Seeing that Satan J had no intention of stopping them, the United States players, who were already prepared, could only stare helplessly.
Satan J coldly watched Lin Yi’s disappearing form, murmuring to himself:
"Feng Hua, let’s see what waves you can make here!"
At this moment, the bone dragon beneath Satan J also let out a huge dragon’s roar and flew in the opposite direction of Feng Hua, leaving a group of players standing amid the wind in confusion.
Someone curiously asked:
"So, are we still pursuing?"
Watching Satan J had already left, the surrounding players acted like they were at a concert that had ended, bursting into a wave of "oohs" and dispersing.
And thus, a frenzy of hunting Feng Hua came to an anticlimactic end.
When Tyler and his crew returned to the Border City, it was already deserted of players, leaving only a few members of the Deicide legion, and Tyler stood there dumbfounded:
"Where is everyone?"
...
Behind the United States War Zone’s Border City No. 7 is an endless expanse of primal forest, known as the Forest of Losang.
This massive Losang Forest has mountains and rivers intertwined within, magnificently vast.
In fact, once you escape into the forest, unless the United States War Zone employed tens of thousands of players for a carpet search, it’s very difficult for just a few thousand people to find players deliberately hiding here.
Precisely because of this, the existence of Border City serves as a crucial checkpoint, blocking players from other battle zones from entering.
As for why some might feel the need to enter other battle zones, shouldn’t one just stay comfortably in their own?
In reality, with the initiation of national battles, numerous cross-battle zone special tasks are emerging everywhere.
The rewards for those tasks are typically very generous.
In a gaming world where everyone tends to underestimate others, who would generously let others have an advantage?
After all, strengthening the enemy is, in effect, weakening oneself, a principle everyone understands.
Therefore, defending the Border City is not merely about preventing a city takeover but also about stopping players like Lin Yi from "smuggling."
After leaving the boundary of the Border City, Lin Yi quickly descended into the dense jungle.
Once landing, he summoned the Nightmare and swiftly ran toward a predefined location according to the map’s coordinates.
Soon after, by a river, Lin Yi spotted Tian Ci and the others waiting:
"Is everyone okay?"
Zhang Xinying shook her head:
"Everyone’s fine."
Lin Yi nodded and said:
"Good, let’s rest here for a bit, later we’ll head straight to the Gravel Plain."
...
The Gravel Plain is located in the northwest of the United States War Zone, with numerous low-level monsters, much like the area around Cyan Dragon City in the Hua Country War Zone.
It’s essentially a novice area, though according to some unwritten rules of gaming, normal individuals usually avoid bullying novice players.
If Lin Yi and others were to head directly from the Forest of Losang to the Gravel Plain, the journey would be extremely long.
Because it involves crossing a massive Hot Manor and an Undead Tomb.
This means Lin Yi and his crew would have to traverse the vast Mist Forest surrounding Cyan Dragon City;
Then enter the Wetland Forest within the Black Tortoise City area;
Finally crossing most of the Black Tortoise City region to reach the Fierce Land Swamp bordering Black Tortoise City and Vermilion Bird City.
By normal methods, one could directly use the teleportation array of the Border City to transport to "Edsen Castle" or the "Crusader Camp," and then teleport to the mission location "Suzerid Peninsula."
However, the first issue is that Lin Yi and others couldn’t use the Border City’s teleportation array, and the closest array to the Forest of Losang is in Hot Manor.
Hot Manor is a gathering place for level 30-40 players in the United States War Zone, and given Lin Yi’s notoriety in this war zone, they might get killed before reaching the teleportation array.
After all, Lin Yi and his group didn’t enter the United States War Zone after occupying the Border City.
So, when they enter the city, they aren’t protected and United States War Zone players can attack them.
After weighing the pros and cons, Utopia City in the Gravel Plain is undoubtedly the safest.
Given the players’ strength there, they cannot pose any substantial threat to Lin Yi and his group.
To avoid drawing the attention of players from the United States War Zone, Lin Yi and his group mostly used mounts to traverse the wild.
They only resorted to flying in areas they couldn’t cross otherwise, and it took over three hours to travel from the Forest of Losang to the Gravel Plain, indicating the journey’s length.
Watching those new players engaged in battles across the Gravel Plain, Tian Ci suddenly felt emotional:
"It’s nice for them, being able to chop monsters and level up without worries here."
Lin Yi glanced back at Tian Ci:
"If you want, you can too!"
Tian Ci just gave a wry smile:
"I’ll pass."
"Following Brother Feng for excitement is more thrilling; I can’t stay still."
Spotting the small city in the distance, Lin Yi said:
"Let’s go to the Crusader Camp."
