CHAPTER 559: CHAPTER 457: RESULTS OF 2ND EXPERIMENT

After sending Oleg and his men away from the Mobile Base, Chen Xin’s mood still didn’t improve.

As the base’s Head of Security, he had received clear orders from home; Chen Xin’s safety was the highest priority.

While the Commander went off to execute Chen Xin’s orders, in his office, Chen Xin finally opened the experiment reports to understand the details of this experiment.

Compared to the previous initiation experiment, there wasn’t much difference this time.

Apart from extending the exposure time to fifteen minutes and deploying chemical agents in the target area, there were no other differences between the two experiments.

This was primarily for comparison to confirm the variables in the experiment process and the impact these variables could have.

The experiment results did not disappoint Chen Xin and the researchers, clearly reflecting both the outcomes and the primary influencing factors.

First and foremost was the exposure time; this time, due to the extended exposure period and the pre-arranged detection balloons, the staff could more accurately record temperature changes during the experiment.

This allowed Chen Xin to see clearly that as the exposure time increased, the temperature indeed showed a significant rise.

However, equally, when the temperature reached a certain point, its increase became gradually slower.

In simple terms, the entire temperature rise didn’t follow a straight line but was a steep curve, with the slope becoming gentler as it approached zero degrees.

This also explained why the previous temperature rise appeared exaggerated, at minus one hundred degrees, it rose by 12°C in three minutes, while closer to zero degrees, it didn’t even rise by 5°C in three minutes.

And this result was achieved even with the influence of chemical agents.

Through comparison, Chen Xin also discovered that when the temperature was very low, scattering chemical agents was not very effective. These agents seemed to work better when the environment temperature was relatively higher or close to zero.

As for why this conclusion was reached, simply comparing the temperature change curve from this time with that of last time and conducting function calculations could reveal the differences.

After all, the first half of the two curves nearly coincided, but in the latter half, there was a slight rise in this experiment’s temperature change curve, which was quite explanatory.

Upon understanding this data, Chen Xin also realized the current state of this Weather Controller.

Simply put, it might still not be of much use unless Chen Xin continued to invest survival points into it, proceeding with further upgrades.

Otherwise, this machine cannot serve much function currently; it could indeed raise the temperature in local areas, but its effect notably declines as it approaches zero degrees.

Within the range below zero degrees, most temperature changes only cause strong winds, and for precipitation and other weather changes, the temperature must first reach above zero for a more noticeable effect.
