I Cook Limitlessly In a Fantasy World
Chapter 98 98: Time To Open The Restaurant
"Yep." Ruoin chuckled. "But appearance-wise, they'll be young adults. Like girls around the age of eighteen to twenty."
"What?!" Ainen was dumbfounded. "But not even a month has passed since they were born!"
"That's not how it works for us beastfolk with high-ranking bloodlines." Ruoin wryly smiled. "We grow faster initially, and the more powerful and rich our bloodline, the more comprehensive our growth."
"In short, Saffa, Clovelle, and Fraisea naturally acquired knowledge and power from their bloodline pool that consisted of two high-ranking bloodlines. They are the hope of two clans, though one has already declined." Ruoin explained, though a hint of sadness was present as she spoke about the clan that had fallen — it was hers.
"I see… that's shocking," Ainen dryly chuckled. "I wonder if humans also have bloodlines."
"Eh, you don't know?" Dylan was surprised.
"Ainen, humans also have bloodlines." Sofia smiled. "Basically, humans manifest their bloodlines at Emperor-rank, and once they have offspring, they pass down the bloodlines. So, direct descendants of Emperor-rank powerhouses all have bloodlines."
"But the strongest bloodlines on this continent belong to the Styxian Dynasty of humans and the Nightrift Clan of Beastfolks. The bloodlines in descendants become stronger when the origin also becomes stronger. The Styxian Dynasty and Nightrift Clan's ancestors ascended and became more powerful than Emperor-rank, so their descendants have stronger bloodlines than the average family of Emperor-rank powerhouses," Dylan said.
"I see…" Ainen nodded. "So for those with no strong ancestors, they have to reach Emperor-rank to get a bloodline and pass it to their future generations."
"Yep. However, there is a way to get a bloodline before reaching Emperor-rank, but the process is…" Lady Ruoin paused briefly as her eyes glinted with worry before continuing. "The process is cruel because you extract the bloodline from another person, and this ends up killing them."
Even Dylan and Sofia didn't know that.
"There's such a method? But if it's cruel like this, then no wonder the information about it is suppressed." Dylan nodded. "Otherwise, the offspring of Emperor-rank powerhouses would also get targeted."
The food they ordered arrived.
"Is this really good?" Syl poked at the juicy meat steak. "The smell is not that good."
"Let's try it." Ainen smiled and took a bite. "Hmm, not bad."
The others also took a bite.
But their expressions shifted as they ruefully smiled.
"Ew!" Ron spat out the food.
Syl also took it out of her mouth onto the side of her plate. "Th-This is so bad!"
Ainen weakly smiled. "It's not that bad, but your tongues are now used to my food since you've been eating it for a long time."
"Well, even though I've only been eating your food for two days, my mouth and mind both are refusing to eat this and want your food." Ruoin wryly chuckled.
"The food is indeed bad compared to yours." Sofia chuckled.
As soon as she finished speaking, everyone looked at the person approaching them, wearing high-ranking gear and having the aura of an Ascendant-rank.
"What did you say?" The black-haired man with green-crystal earrings narrowed his eyes as he looked at Sofia and the others. "Are you here to eat or insult the food?"
"We're not insulting the food or anything," Dylan snorted as he looked at the guy. "We have just been used to eating more delicious food, so this isn't to our palate."
"And you should mind your own business. It doesn't concern you whatsoever what we say." Ainen smiled at the guy.
"This was made by my uncle, who is a King-rank powerhouse and has been cooking for decades. Everyone loves the food, but here you are, insulting it. Even if you ate better food, does this food warrant these kids throwing out what they ate?!" the guy angrily said. "My friends are enjoying the food in the next pavilion, and they suddenly hear what you say, so how does that make me feel?!"
"Boy, we don't need to care how you feel," Ruoin narrowed her eyes.
"But you are bullshitting! Anything you eat doesn't make this food shit like you're making it out to be."
Ainen stood up. "I know what you're trying to say. It's a bit rude, I know. But that doesn't change the clear fact and what my friends here feel about the food."
"And to prove them right because they are—" Waving his hand, he handed over a spiced meat stick made by mixing meat with other ingredients and molding it. "—eat this. If you think this is bad, all of us will apologize for what we said."
"Huh? What is this?"
"It's called a Pereru Mixed Stick. Eat it."
The guy frowned and grabbed the stick. "It doesn't smell much."
"It's not supposed to smell. It's not fresh food, but a snack."
The guy took a bite, then a second later, he was stunned.
"Let's go," Ainen said as he began leaving. "It's time to enter the labyrinth."
The guy who ate the stick snapped out of his thoughts after sensing the crazy buffs and increase in stats he got, not to mention the insanely good taste that made his mouth water just by looking at the remaining stick.
"Where did they go?!"
"F-Fuck," the guy stammered. "How is this so good and so powerful?"
He wanted more. He wanted to buy some, but they were already gone!
…
Ainen and the group arrived at the labyrinth entrance. This labyrinth had an activation cycle of ten days, and it was the ninth day already.
"This is a bummer. Even if we enter now, you won't get any floor boss to kill." Sofia wryly smiled.
"Yeah. It's better to enter tomorrow, Ainen. The floor bosses must have been defeated already, and there wouldn't be any challenges available, so we won't get any rewards," Dylan said as he turned to Ainen. "There are some empty rooms available in our Mistbound Tower branch here, so we can stay there."
Ainen rubbed his chin. "Since I'm here, I'm going to open my restaurant temporarily. I need to earn experience for my class."
'And the Interdimensional Restaurant.'
"In that case, you'll have to rent a property." Sofia chuckled. "It's going to be expensive, but you have plenty of money. And you can make plenty more with your food."
"We will help you." Ruoin smiled. "Let's check out the sites. What kind of area do you want?"
"I want a spacious area." Ainen grinned. "I want a ground of 100-meter radius. The Café Bistro will be in the center for VIP customers to eat inside. I'll earn big bucks from there, and also sell food to other people at cheaper prices so they can line up and eat in the spacious ground."
