CHAPTER 35: [35] NIGHTMARE DIMENSION!

In a small clearing, a young female student had just managed to kill a Rank 3 Spine-Thorn Lizard.

She was panting, her left arm was bleeding profusely but she managed to contract her muscles and reduce the blood flow, but she was incredibly happy as she had finally passed the round.

But then her face changed as she looked up and saw a Rank 4 Wind Razor Wolf staring at her from the branch of a massive tree.

It was the Wind Razor Wolf beast she had been avoiding since it got her scent, it was standing at the edge of the clearing.

But now, it was different now. Its fur was now tinged with blood, its eyes were gleaming with a hellish red color, and its energy wave was more than twice as strong as before.

Her face instantly changed and she immediately reached for her badge, ready to activate the shield and escape.

Her blood entered the badge and it glowed faintly for half a second, then in that moment, it suddenly fizzled out as the glow died completely.

Her face changed slightly and she tried immediately spat out a spoonful of blood and spit on the badge but the same thing happened!

Her face suddenly turned pale. The teleportation wasn’t working.

The beast didn’t let her react as it let out a terrifying howl and charged. She didn’t even have time to scream as it descended on her.

Across the entire zone, the same story was repeating. Students who had been confident just moments before were now being overwhelmed.

The weak were torn apart by enraged trees and vines. The strong were crushed by the tripled strength of the beasts they had been hunting. The lucky ones, who were in between battles, found themselves in the path of a sudden raging beast tide.

The number of students began to drop rapidly like they were ants and they were offed one by one by the beasts.

There was no escape and there wasn’t a single change to even surrender.

There was only the blood red sky, the roar of the berserk monsters, and the desperate screams of students dying or about to die.

Inside the quiet, cave, Levi was completely unaware of what was happening outside the cave.

He sat peacefully on the stone floor, his back resting on the wall as he flipped open the `Divine Asura Cooking Art` manual on his lap.

It wasn’t about fighting, but it was just as difficult as any combat art.

It described how to use one’s own energy as a form of heat, how to identify and separate the potent extracts within a monster’s flesh, and herbs, and how to cook it in a way that preserved every last drop of its power.

He was trying to get a basic feel for it, hoping to initiate it into the system so he could start practicing, hoping to get at least 10,000 times practice rate.

Levi was so focused on the ancient text that he didn’t notice the changes that was happening outside the cave.

At that moment, the silver ray of light that entered through the holes of the cave began to change.

It slowly started to turn from pale silver to pale pink and then suddenly, changed to red and then a pure deep red!

At that instant, the strange, blood red rays of moonlight fell on the side of Levi’s arm, making him look up and he immediately frowned in confusion.

Keeping the book in his spatial ring, he stood up and walked towards the entrance of the cave and he saw made his eyes blink rapidly and then widen as he realized it wasn’t a dream.

The entire world outside was covered in deep red glow.

The sky was the color of blood, and the three moons looked like crimson eyes staring down at the entire world. It was as though a god was looking down at this dimension!

Suddenly, Levi felt the world grow heavier.

The gravity, which had already been slightly stronger here, intensified, pressing down on his body with even more pressure and even thought It wasn’t enough to hurt him, he could feel the weight on his muscles.

At that same moment, the little thief, which had been sleeping peacefully on his shoulder, began to squirm.

"Chirp! Chirp!!"

It let out a series of soft, squeaks, and its tiny body started trembling.

Levi frowned and worriedly brought the little beast up to his face to check on it, slightly worried.

He saw it squirm for a few more seconds, and then it slowed and stopped as it continued sleeping like a baby, its breathing deep and even.

Levi frowned even deeper. It seemed that whatever was happening, the little thief was actually immune to the berserk moon.

It could be because of the massive amount of treasures it had eaten, from the Moonlit Jade Orchid to its share of the Geo-Essence Spring and others, it had started some kind of evolution.

Just as he was about to turn his attention back to the strange sky when he heard a sound far off the distance. It was a rustling sound, and it was coming from right outside.

He suddenly heard another sound, and then another, turning into a strange kind of symphony to him, making It sounded like a thousand snakes moving through the grass all at once.

Levi frowned as he walked outside the cave and deep into the forest.

His strength was high therefore he wasn’t truly scared of anything.

But in that split second his thoughts had settles, he felt the hair at the nape of his neck stand on end!

His expression changed and he paused and without hesitation he started to walking back towards the entrance.

He had watched enough horror film to know what it meant.

In that second, a thick, thorny vine, as fast as a three meters Horned-cobra, shot through the air and stabbed at the spot where his head had been a split second ago.

"Thud!"

He stared at the vine close to his neck in shock. It was just a normal blade of grass just a minute ago. Now, it could move!?

"What the hell!?"

Another vine shot out, then another, then ten, then a twenty. The tall grasses outside had were actually alive!

Levi’s expression turned grim.

"What the hell happened in just a few minutes!?"

Without hesitation, he drew his cleaver.

With his incredible speed and strength, he slashed through the vines easily.

They only contained the power of a Rank 1 beast, and they were no match for him. But as he cut them down, more and more appeared.

This place was filled with plants.

The grass, the trees, the flowers—everything was transformed, wanting to kill him.

He knew he couldn’t stay in the cave. If the plants could attack, they could also block the entrance, trapping him inside. He had to get out, to find a place with no vegetation.

He took a deep breath and charged deeper into the forest.

This entire dimension was actullly turning into a truenightmare grade dimension!
