CHAPTER 37: [37] INTENSE TROUBLE!

[Congratulations! You have broken through to Rank 7 Super Soldier!]

He opened his eyes, and a thick streak of lightning zapped through his eyes, striking the ground a few meters away.

He clenched his fist, as he felt his muscles growing stronger rapidly. In just a few minutes, his cells had doubled in size and his strength and stats had also doubled compared to level 6.

With the doubled physique, the small cuts and scrapes on his body healed instantly, and the fatigue from his long run vanished. He felt healthier and more lighter then before.

Just as he was getting used to his new strength, a new sound reached his now enhanced senses.

It started as a low rumble, a faint vibration he could feel in the stone floor. But it grew louder, and louder, until the entire grotto was shaking.

Levi’s face turned pale. He didn’t hesitate as he jumped to his feet.

He cautiously moved to the entrance of the cave and peeked out from behind the waterfall at the entrance of the cave

"Fuck my life!"

It was a beast tide!

A massive river of hundreds of berserk monsters was crashing through the forest, toppling trees and trampling vines as they headed directly for his location.

They were beasts of all shapes and sizes.

There were giant, armored boars, packs of shadowy wolves with glowing red eyes, and massive, ape-like creatures that smashed trees out of their way. They were all covered in blood, their eyes burning with the mindless rage of the Blood Moon Frenzy.

And at the very front of this horrifying scene, just a few meters ahead was a single, familiar figure.

It was the girl he had saved before!

She was running for her life, her face pale with terror. She used some kind of incredible movement technique to dodge and weave through the trees, staying just out of reach of the fastest monsters. She looked back over her shoulder, her eyes wide with panic. She looked over and seen to have noticed Levi at the distance and chose to move towards his direction!

Levi’s face, which had been filled with alarm, changed into pure anger.

She was leading them here!

She was leading,an entire army of berserk monsters, straight to his doorstep! He had saved her life from the dark cultivators, and this was how she chose to repay him?

His anger grew hotter and his face flaming hot. He frowned when he watched her movements, the way she effortlessly dodged the attacks of Rank 6 and even Rank 7 beasts.

How could a mere Rank 3 student, even a talented one, survive for so long at the front of a beast tide like this? How could she outrun monsters whose strength had been tripled by the Blood Moon, monsters that even he would have to fight seriously?

But he had no time to think. She was already at the waterfall. With a stomp, she crashed through the curtain of water and tumbled into the grotto, landing in a heap on the floor.

"You!"

Levi pointed at her in trembling anger.

And then, the beast tide followed.

The entrance of the grotto, which had been a safe just a moment ago, was now like a gate to an E grade 4th dimension!

"Roooar!"

The fastest beast was a massive, rank 7 red-eyed Devil Ape.

Its body smashed through boulders in its way as it shot into the cave.

It let out a deafening roar that shook the entire cave. It was followed by a pack of Rank 6 Shadow Wolves, their shadowy forms slipping through the water like ghosts.

And behind them, several dozens of other beasts that pushed, trampled their way into the cave creating a terrifying sound as their roars and snarl combined.

Their red eyes locked onto the two humans, and with an indescribable hunger for blood, they charged!

The cave transformed into a death trap with monsters. Levi was trapped and there was basically no way to escape.

The muscles of the Devil Ape trembled violently.

"Roooar!"

There was no need for other signals, that was all the dimensional beasts needed to attack.

They poured mindlessly into the cave, wanting to rip everyone to shreds.

"You!" Levi’s growled in anger as he glanced at the girl cowering on the floor.

He had no time to be angry right now as the first monster attacked.

The Rank 7 Devil Ape was the first to attack.

At this moment, it’s strength had more than doubled by the Blood Moon Frenzy.

It stood 7 feet tall, slam it like a mountain of pure muscles with eyes glowing red like magma.

Suddenly, its massive fist as large as a boilder, slammed into the ground as it charged.

Its speed was so fast it almost reach Mach-1 as it arrived before Levi like a rocket launcher, closing the distance in the blink of an eye.

Levi’s eyes flickered but he right back down.

His anger surged like a tide and his newfound Rank 7 strength bellowed like a ragging tsunami. But it was barely enough.

"Divine Thunder Might!"

His eyes flashed with streaks of thunder but they remained hidden.

He clenched his fists and the air trapped around the exploded, cas he punched outwards.

A loud shriek exploded as the air was forcefully ripped apart.

"BOOM!"

His fist, now crackling with the unseen power of his `Divine Thunder Might`, slammed into the Devil Ape’s fist.

It was as though two speed trains had collided between two monstrous forces.

A visible, circular shockwave of pure kinetic energy exploded outwards from the point of impact. The very air in the cave screamed, and the stone floor beneath them cracked and splintered into a spiderweb of fissures.

The force of the blow was so immense that it sent a powerful gust of wind blasting through the grotto, making the waterfall outside explode.

Levi slid three steps backwards, his boots carving deep lines on the cave grounds.

The Devil Ape, was instantly thrown backwards by the force as it retreated three steps back.

Its arm was actually trembling from the thunderous force that had traveled up its limb.

For a moment, the beast was stunned as it couldn’t figure out how a small creature could possess such terrifying strength.
