I Got Isekai’d, Well Shyt!
Vol.5 Chapter290 Getting Registered.
Fennic was waiting for Rya arrival, and his men were gathered nearby. He was wearing a simple black outfit and his men were in matching dark green cloaks with hoods that hid their faces.
"They're here... Remember that Princess Rya is to be given the up most respect," Fennic ordered.
"Yes, Sir," they all replied.
Fennic watched as the carriage door opened and the prince stepped out, followed by his future bride. Nieren and Saffron followed after them and the carriage behind them had Hajdah and Laika.
The busy streets around the Mage's Guild headquarters seemed to stop when the pedestrians noticed the four demi-humans that were walking towards the Grand Master. Dwarves were uncommon, elves were rare, but the dark elf was a first for the city. And when word spread out from the church about Rya receiving the Goddess's favor and most of the people witnessing the new Idols of the twin goddesses kneeling before Iyomelka. The people grew curious about this Dark Elven Princess that has the Crown Prince's heart. And the whispers around the streets were the ones to cause the crowd to start to gather.
"S-She's the Princess?... I never knew that Dark Elves were that beautiful!" Whispered a younger man.
"Boy... That's a gross understatement... Divine beauty is more fitting for her, no?" His older companion remarked.
"I hear that she's brought as the twin goddesses to the Church of Balance... Is she trying to take over the churches?... Should we worry?" One person asked another.
"Who knows? But the Goddess has blessed her and the King is going to marry her off to the prince... I would think that it would be best to follow the path she's on," Answered the other.
"But what if she becomes queen and then decides to make a dark elf only kingdom and forces the humans to follow her gods?"
"She hasn't demanded anything from us... Plus, it seems like we have are own Divine Three... All I know it those two adopted goddesses look cute in a pathetic sort of way... And It's reassuring to know that Iyomelka is still watching over us."
"Well... You have point... I thought Iyomelka had abondened the church years ago, but it seems she just wants to have a little freedom... Maybe the Goddess knows that most people would be frightened by the Dark Elf's presence and she showed this Princess her favor as a sign that she's good... I would have been terrified if I saw her without the goddess's blessing," the first person admitted.
"I'm sure everyone would have fled in terror at the sight of a Dark Elf," his friend added.
"Oh, please! You lot are frightened of that!? Look at her? I can wait that until the day I die. And I hope she brings more of her kind to the capital. Maybe I can get me a Dark Elf Girlfriend," a young male voice said.
"Oh, please, you couldn't even get a human girlfriend! There is no way a dark elf will look twice at you!" another young man retorted.
"And how in the three hells did the Crown Prince get a Dark Elf for a girlfriend?!"
"Really!?! Look at the Crown Prince. You're no where close to him in looks. Why would a different dark elf want you when she can have someone like the Crown Prince?! And she's a goddess! Why would a goddess want a lowly human male like you!?"
"My charm is greater than his, and I could have any girl I want!" the first guy yelled.
"Then why don't you go talk to her and tell her that. You'll get a dagger through your eye before the words even leave your lips!"
"Enough! You two are being very disrespectful, and you should be ashamed of yourselves! We are all Iyomelka's children and we should treat each other as equals. Just because a dark elvrs has never shown themselves in the city doesn't mean we shouldn't be kind to them if they ever show up. Especially what I heard she did for are Prince," a woman scolded the men.
"What are you talking about?" the second young man asked.
"Did you not hear the rumor that the Princess fell in love with the Crown Prince at first sight in the Tomb of the Horde?... They say are Prince would have died at the hands of the goblins, and a female Dark Elf saved his life. She is the reason he is alive right now," the woman told the two.
"Are you serious?!"
"If it's true, then the Crown Prince has the favor of the goddess. How can we not respect her? She saved the prince. And you idiots were calling her names, and now you want to take her to bed!? I hope you're ashamed of yourselves."
"Well... Maybe I'll pray to the twin goddesses to bring the other dark elves here," the first man said.
"You idiot!" the woman snapped. "We have plenty of women here! Leave the poor Dark Elves alone!"
"You're just scared of a little competition, aye?" The man teased.
"I'm not scared of anyone! And you should be the one scared of the competition," the woman growled.
"Of what? Having beautiful Dark Elf women running around? Hell, I'll make my own harem! And I'll be the envy of everyone."
"What about the Dark Elven men, then? If the females are as beautiful as her, then the men must be a handsome as the Crown Prince. So, I'm for having the Dark Elves coming here. Then I came work my magic on getting real men instead you soft human boys," the woman smirked.
"I am not a boy!" the first guy growled.
"Prove it then," the woman taunted.
"Alright, I will," the man growled, and he started to walk towards the woman who was shocked at the reaction she got.
He grabbed the back of her head and pulled her into a kiss.
"Mmph?!" The woman tried to resist, but the man held her firmly.
"See, not a boy, eh?" the man said as he pulled away.
"You pig! What if I was married or betrothed?! You don't just kiss a woman without permission!" the woman scolded.
"So are you betrothed or married?" the man asked.
"No," the woman mumbled.
"Then take this," the man said and kissed her again.
"Mmmph!" The woman gasped as the man pushed his tongue into her mouth.
"Ahhh," the woman moaned as the man sucked on her tongue.
Some of the crowd started to cheer while a some grimaced at the public display.
"That's it! If you keep going I'm gonna—"
"What? Get mad? Come on, give me your best shot," the man chuckled.
She became flustered and was about to say something, but the man interrupted her.
"Was I really that bad of a kisser?" the man chuckled.
"No! But you're an ass!" she exclaimed.
"And you started this," the man shrugged.
"You! You... you!" the woman growled.
"I, I, I," the man said, mimicking her.
The woman got angry, and she oddly liked the attention, but she refused to show this guy that she was enjoying his advances.
"Whatever," the woman sighed and walked off.
The man followed her.
"Wait a second. I want to know your name," the man said.
"You have to earn that," the woman chuckled.
"Fine. Then I will," the man smirked.
"What makes you think that? What makes you so confident?" the woman asked.
"Because I know that you like me," the man grinned and pinched her butt, causing her to yelp.

Rya's ears were twitching as she heard the crowds talking about her. It was one part of being a dark elf that she couldn't turn off, the enhanced senses. And in normal day-to-day conversations in the palace, she was able to ignore them. But when there was this many people whispering, it was hard for her not to pick up on what they were saying.
'Ugh... Why are there people making out because of me?' Rya thought, feeling embarrassed.
Rya was trying not to think about the eyes that were watching her, but all the talking was getting to her. And that's when she realized what she could use to mute the chatter. Rya went into her purse and pulled out a small bag that had these fancy wood carven earplugs that Yuliana made for Nieren, who was complaining about not being able to hear Rya's and Quinus' room in the middle of the night. Mostly due to Dalia and Percy having their "nightly exercises."
'Thank God I carry these things around. Now maybe I can enjoy the day without worrying about other people's thoughts.' Rya put the earplugs in and sighed happily as all the voices were muted and her hearing was similar to when she was human. 'That's so much better.'
Quinus looked at Rya and could tell something was different about her. He tapped her shoulder and gave her a look of concern. Rya pulled the plugs out and Quinus asked.
"Are you alright?" Quinus asked.
"Yup. I'm fine, babe... Just blocking out a lot of noise," Rya replied and plugged her ear back up.
"Elven hearing? I see," Quinus nodded.
"Yeah. I haven't had this big of a crowd around me in a while and it's a little overwhelming," Rya told him.
"I understand," Quinus smiled and kissed her cheek.
"You are the sweetest, Quin," Rya smirked and kissed him back.
"That enough fraternizing, you two. The Grand Master is waiting for us," Hajdah said, looking Fennic who was standing by the entrance of the Mage's Guild headquarters.
"Alright, let's go," Rya said, walking towards Fennic with Quinus and Nieren beside her. Saffron, Hajdah, and Laika were coming up the rear.
As the approached Fennic and his mages bowed to Rya and the rest of the group. "Welcome to the Tairal Mage's Guild and the headquarters to all the Fiafyrian guilds, my lady," Fennic said, then turned to the rest of the group. "We prepared everything for you. We just need to register you as a part of the guild so you may access any branch you visit.
"Okay. Where do we go first?" Rya asked.
"Follow me, my lady. We will create a talisman that will identify you as a part of our guild and we will be able to track your whereabouts if you need are aid, should anything happen," Fennic stated and started leading the group inside the guild hall.
"You can track other mages? Interesting," Rya said.
"It's a recent invention from one of a young mages about a year ago. If you channeled your mana into the yellow crystal then the destress signal will go off on the main guild board, and anyone of our members can feel it in their talisman," Fennic explained.
"Is there a range limit on the signal?" Rya asked.
"Depends on how much mana you channel into it. But I was able to trigger the members in the City of Dorn. We were planning on getting these talismans out to the Ironside Mages guild, but with all the tensions brewing. It will have to wait untill things calm down in the south," Fennic stated.
Rya and Quinus had heard some of the reports coming from the Celestria Hollows (Count Ingham's), and Tharsult (Baron Windermere's) domains that boarded the Holy Alliance, about the Divine Three's movements. When Prince Terenthiel Marrell's convoy made it back into the Alliance's borders, was when they shut down the border within the week. And no one was allowed in or out.
'Haah... First I had to survive the Divine Three when they attacked the dark elves, then I had to survive a horde of goblins, after that I had to fight those stupid Mercenaries from taking over Ironside, and now those dip shits from the Holy Alliance are starting a war... Or maybe I shouldn't be surprised by those assholes. I mean, I was most likely going to run into them at some point, but can't I have a month where I don't have to worry about people trying to kill me?'
"Well, if the Divine Three feel brave enough to invade, then we will respond in kind and show them the might of Fiafyr," Quinus proclaimed.
"So, you are willing to go to war for the one you love? That seems selfish—"
"They are choosing to go to war because I exist, Grand Master," Rya interrupted. "They have already made the decision to attack this kingdom regardless of if I was marrying Quinus or not."
Fennic was surprised by how direct and serious the young dark elf was. He couldn't help but stare at her. 'She's quite different from what I've read about their kind... So, she's willing to protect the people that are going to be in harms way? She's either a genius or an idiot.'
"What my love says is true, Grand Master," Quinus stated. "But maybe there's a small chance that they might see reason... A very slim chance."
"Pfft! I'm sure they were planning on attacking even before Saintess Rya came to the Kingdom. There is no way that they will turn a blind eye to the dwarves living here," Hajdah interjected.
"Hmm... I have to agree with that as well... Things are changing... Let's just hope that, Princess Rya and his Highness are up to the challenge to protect this kingdom," Fennic replied.
"What are you implying?" Quinus asked.
"I'm implying that this country is weak... We've been struggling to find mages for the last ten years. And most of the ones we do get have poor mana veins... I fear that the human race will be falling behind all the other races soon... Maybe not this year, or the next. But sooner or later we will have a war on our hands, and we will lose to those other races because we won't have mages to combat them... I'm sure that the demon races or the angels will have an advantage over us," Fennic responded.
Rya looked at Fennic with a raised brow, "How on Earth—Um? How in the world do you even find mages in the first place?"
Quinus recalled his failed test back when he was eight years old but he let the Mage's Guild head speak.
"It's unfortunately archaic, Princess Rya... We here rumors about individuals that show potential in growing their Mana Veins and then we send mages that have the ability to used one of the prime elements to see if the possible candidates can interact with the most basic of spells. We can feel it when someone has the ability to connect with the elements... If they fail then they are just the usual Maja Warrior and they run off to be an adventurer or a soldier, and sometimes they can become a knight... But the few that do pass are sent to the Academy and trained properly. That is the Mage's Guild policy and it's one of are main goals," Headmaster Saffron replied.
'Damm... That sounds annoying... Hold on!? How the hell do they find any illusion mages, or lightning mages, or even none elemental mages?... They have to have a weird way of detecting those kinds of mages,' Rya thought.
"So, what is your guys methods for finding none elemental mages, like Illusionists?" Rya asked.
Grand Master Fennic and his mages stopped in there tracks and looked at Rya as if she was playing a joke on them. But after examining her expression and feeling the seriousness from her words, they all started laughing.
"What's so funny?" Rya asked and Mystic Laika walked up next to Rya to answer her.
"Saintess... I know that during your time in Ironside was busy with you reading all the books, training, and you kept to yourself for a good amount of time, but creatures of chaos are the only ones that know how to use none elemental magic. It's like they have an enate ability to understand and learn it. Haven't you noticed that none of the Mage's in Ironside know how to use those forms of magic?" Mystic Laika stated.
'Really!? Creatures of chaos are the only ones that know how to use Illusion spells?... What does that say about Johan?... Hold on!'
Rya turned to look at Hajdah, "But what about that book I translated that had those three illusion incantations? It was in a old Dwarven tongue that you had in your library? How does that make any sense if the creatures of chaos are the only ones with the natural ability?"
Hajdah had to think about that for a second before he replied, "Well... It was an amazing find, my Saintess. But we lack the ability to find anyone who might have the potential to use that kind of magic. Maybe the dwarves of old were able to use those types of magic before the knowledge was lost to time... It's sad really."
Rya was about to respond when Grand Master Fennic interrupted her, "Well, that makes sense. Agon's history wasn't as bright as it is now. We don't even have records on how the world used to look. Or even where the elves and dwarves came from. But we do know that all the large kingdoms from all the races had sided with the Demon race to fight the creatures of virtue on the Xinran Continent.
"And if the legends are correct, the demons were able to breed with the ancestors of the Meredydd family. That's why you have those golden eyes, your Highness," Grand Master Fennic explained.
Quinus was confused. When he was reincarnated in this world and all he could do was read. He never read anything about that history.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," Quinus said.
Grand Master Fennic laughed, "Of course you wouldn't, your Highness. This happened millennia ago and the High Elves destroyed most of the books about this history after all the Agon kingdom's of corrupted humans and demons fell. I found this out about 15 years ago when one of our guild members found a old demon sage's laboratory in the Grand Nublous Mountains in no man's land past the western wall. Most of the tomes are unreadable, but a few were written in old terran and they talked about the Great War and the rise of the demons. It's sad really. The demon sage's name was Kaldr."
"Kaldr... Hmm..." Rya was deep in thought.
'What was Iyomelka doing during that time?... Maybe she tried to interfere but it made things worse. She did tell me that she didn't want to get involved with the politics of the mortals... Well, if I ever get the chance to speak with her again I'll have to ask her.'
"Do my parents know about this? Why hasn't the royal historian brought this up?" Quinus was confused.
"Your Highness. Your royal historian doesn't know because I haven't told him... He insulted my by cutting in line when this new restaurant opened. It was the best stew I ever had, and I've eaten a lot of stews in my life," Fennic said with a smile before it soured. "He had the nerve to say, 'I'm the royal historian, so I deserve to be the first to document this special occasion!? I would have blown him away with a waterball if the owner hadn't come in to calm me down... I almost made a fool of myself... So I didn't tell anyone but a few of my higher tiered members and now all of you..."
Hajdah covered his face with hand, Saffron sighed, Laika giggled, and the others were shaking their heads in amusement.
"Well, thank you, Grand Master Fennic," Quinus said as he wasn't sure what to make of this knowledge.
"Of course, your Highness... And don't worry if you thing you'll be growing horns or anything like that. It's just an old remnants of a bygone area," Fennic smirked.
Quinus looked at Rya with a raised brow and a smirk, "Beware, my love. Our children might grow horns and a tail."
"Shut up..." Rya said a playfully hit his shoulder. Quinus pretended like she hurt him and rubbed his arm in mock pain.
The rest of the room was chuckling.
"Alright, time to get serious. Grand Master Fennic, Master Saffron, and Arch-Mage Hajdah... Do you want me to find you new mages?" Rya asked.
The Mages all stopped laughing.
"Saintess Rya?... Our you teasing us?" Hajdah asked with a slight blush on his face.
"No, I'm not... Let's just say I have a way to know if someone is born with the gift. And it's better than the guilds' way," Rya answered with a devious smile.
Fennic looked at her sternly, "How do you know?"
"Let's just say that I created a artifact that allows me to know. But that's a secret. And if you want more talented mages then let me do this for you," Rya said as she looked each person in the eye.
Saffron and Hajdah both looked intrigued while Fennic still had some doubts.
"You really are going to show them it, sis?" Nieren asked.
"Yes, Nieren. I've been waiting for a opportunity to start recruiting more talent for our cause. And since they trust me I think now is the best time. So, how about it?" Rya asked.
Saffron and Hajdah had wide eyes and excited smiles.
Fennic sighed, "Alright, you can test the mages, but let's get your guild talisman first."
"Oh, right," Rya said as she and Quinus followed Fennic and his guild members back to the lobby that looked like something out of a fairytale.
Rya looked around and was in awe as their was floating candles everywhere and bookshelves everywhere. And Rya could feel the magical energies flowing in the air.
"I know, it's amazing," Nieren whispered into her ear.
"It is, I never seen anything like this," Rya said, still in awe. 'Except in movies... It's like I'm in
Hogwarts...' Rya thought with a chuckle.
Fennic led the group past the registration desks and into a different room that had a large artifact that reminded Rya and Quinus of a old 1960s computer that took up the whole room.
One of Fennic's guild members instructed Rya to place her hand on a basketball sized sphere that was in the middle of the large computer-like artifact.
Rya did as the human mage said and put her hand on the sphere. She felt her mana interacting with the sphere. Suddenly a bright green and gold glow came from the sphere and it started making loud clicking noises as the cogs began to spin in erratic patterns.
Everyone in the room watched in awe as the clicking noises were getting louder. Until a small door opened with a pendant sized talisman inside it.
Rya grabbed the pendant and noticed her full name, and a series of numbers and letters were engraved into the silver and gold pendant. And there were five different colored triangular gems in the middle of it.
"That was intense," Rya said, while examining the pendant.
"That's the fastest I've ever seen a mage registration happen," the human male mage said.
"Huh?... Well, cool. Hey, can my sister get one of these too? She's a vegetation and light mage," Rya asked.
All the mages looked at Nieren in awe.
"Nieren!? You were a mage all this time," Hajdah exclaimed while Laika was smiling.
"So, you are part High Elf. I should have figured since you're golden blonde-haired," Laika said with a smirk.
Nieren waved her hand dismissively, "I'm all wood elf! And I can only use the Green Word for my vegetation magic! My father can rot for all I care!"
"Calm down, Nier. There's no shame in being a part High Elf as long as you act as a good person," Rya said.
Nieren crossed her arms and huffed. She hated that her father abandoned them when the Kingdom of Marn was invading their forest, and there was a high likelihood that her father was the one to poison the Elder Tree with the blood of a Wyvern. She didn't want to be associated with High Elves.
Rya shook her head and placed a hand on her shoulder, "Come on, sis, let's get you registered."
Nieren reluctantly went with Rya to get her registered as a mage.
After the sisters got registered, Rya decided to help find some new mages for the Mages Guild, and she knew the first place she'd start. The orphanage.
