CHAPTER 57: SYSTEM FUNCTION

"Wait...? I can bring things from system space into the real world?"

[Umm... yes?] the system answered, its tone dripping with deadpan sarcasm as if it was the most obvious thing in the universe.

Razeal blinked hard. "So you’re telling me... I can actually take stuff out from there into the real world? Like... anything? As long as I want it?"

[As long as the villain who owns that space agrees to it,] the system clarified.

Razeal froze. His brain felt like it short circuited. His fingers curled tighter around the two flowers Zenocide had given him. His mind was exploding with the implications.

"Wait. Hold on... How many spaces are there in the system space? Like it’s equal to the number of villains, right? And what’s the size of the space each one lives in again?!"

[Yes, each villain has their own personalized realm or domain within the system space. As for the size... that entirely depends on the villain’s rank and power. The stronger they are, the more expansive and detailed their personal world is.]

[Even the lowest ranked villains F-rank have their own entire space, typically the size of a country. That’s the system’s minimum standard, so they can have room to roam, train, and not go completely insane.]

[As for SSS Rank Villains like Zenocide... their personal worlds are the size of entire planets or more. Complete, functioning ecosystems, climates, terrain, and environments.]

[And the EX-Rank Villains? Their spaces are even bigger some are larger than entire stars.]

Razeal’s mouth slowly dropped open. If someone had tossed a whole watermelon at him, it might’ve fit.

"What... the fuck...?" he whispered like he’d just uncovered a divine secret.

"I thought... I don’t know... I thought I was walking around some fancy courtyard or giant football field or something," he muttered, visibly overwhelmed. "You’re telling me i was literally crossing a world just now?! Like a whole damn planet?!"

Shock was too soft a word for what he was experiencing.

Slowly, he looked down again at the flowers, now suddenly seeing them in a very different light.

"If I can bring back flowers... what about magical plants? Rare herbs? Ancient saplings that have been alive for a thousand years?"

His heart began to beat faster.

"What about alchemy materials? Magical ores? Refined metals? Treasures only found in hidden realms or mythological beast territories what if they exist in there too?"

Then suddenly, realization hit him like a freight train.

Zenocide, who grew flowers like a celestial gardener... what if there were villains with other professions?

Blacksmiths. Alchemists. Potion masters. Spirit beast tamers. Cooks even.

"I... I could literally become a goddamn gazillionaire," Razeal whispered, putting a hand to his forehead like a man seeing heaven for the first time.

"If I can just convince a few of them to work with me or hell, just give me some stuff I could monopolize entire industries in the real world!"

His excitement reached a fever pitch.

"I was out here worrying about getting killed for materials or training," he muttered, half-laughing, "and the whole time I’ve had trillions of worlds in my fucking pocket. Literal universes of opportunities."

He clutched his head, mouth still hanging open. "Who in this world could even match me in resources? Kings? Dukes? Emperors?! Please I’m the richest man alive and nobody even knows it... Literally even i didn’t know!"

Then he blinked.

Razeal stood there, stunned. Then he narrowed his eyes.

"System... why the hell didn’t you tell me this sooner?!"

He coughed awkwardly as he realized he was still standing in a ridiculous posture, nearly vibrating with excitement. "Like seriously? This was game changing. You couldn’t give me a heads up?!"

[Host, are you actually brain-dead?] the system replied dryly. [Did I not tell you from the start that there were villains in system space meant to train and teach you? What did you think that meant? You think they’re just going to stand around and recite poetry?! Obviously, they have professions, domains, and resources! How dumb do you need to be to not put two and two together?]

[Also, I already told you fucking multiple times that there are many hidden features in the ’Valley of Villains.’ You just fucking didn’t listen.]

"Don’t try to blame this on me, you useless bag of circuits!" Razeal barked back, his voice heated. "You’re my system! You’re supposed to guide me! Help me! Not just sit there with a smug voice and let me flounder in ignorance!"

My so called partner? Can’t I at least even ask you a damn question without being yelled at, you lazy, toxic piece of shittt?!"

[I would guide you if you weren’t so damn impulsive all the time!] the system yelled back, now clearly annoyed. [You constantly ignore my advice, do whatever you want, and nearly died at least eight times in a fucking day! Do you enjoy testing my patience?!]

"Oh, so you’re still mad about that, huh?" Razeal muttered, folding his arms. "Still salty about me not listening during that one time? I swear, if I had a girlfriend, she wouldn’t even be this damn petty."

[EXCUSE ME?!] the system screeched. [You think I’m petty? At least a girlfriend would pretend to listen to reason before doing something stupid you just sprint into death like it’s your damn hobby... You dumb moscoist!]

The two bickered like old close friends. The kind who’ve shared too many lifetimes and frustrations.

Razeal sighed, finally calming down a bit.

Still, the excitement inside him hadn’t faded. If anything, it was growing stronger. The realization was just... staggering. He could literally build an empire from the treasures hidden in system space. No longer would he have to beg for scraps or risk his life for a single low-grade resource.

With the right strategy and the right villain partnerships he could ascend like no one else before.

He looked again at the two flowers in his hand.

Soft. Fragrant. Innocent-looking.

But now they were symbols of something greater. Power. Opportunity. Unimaginable potential.

Razeal grinned.

"Well then," he muttered, "guess I just became the richest bastard alive... and nobody even knows it yet."

Wait..

Suddenly, as he stared down at the ground, a spark of inspiration flashed through Razeal’s mind like lightning tearing across a dark sky.

"Hey, System?" he asked, eyes narrowing with curiosity. "If I kill villains inside the System Space... would that still increase my killing intent and make me stronger?"

He already knew there were countless ways to rack up kill counts he could just dive into one of the gates. They were teeming with enemies. But right now, he was still weak... too weak. Going into those gates would be brutal. In contrast, the System Space was completely safe. No risk or fear of death. And if this worked, he could get stronger much stronger while training freely and learning new skills without any danger.

[Yes, Host. You can. However, each villain will only count once when killed by your hand. After being revived by the System, they will not be counted again.]

The System responded, its voice slightly grumpy, as if annoyed at being asked something so obvious.

"Damnnn... that’s insanely cool!" Razeal practically shouted, eyes wide as stars seemed to twinkle in them. "This whole time I thought this cheat system was all hard work and grind my ass off kind of deal... turns out it’s literally overpowered. Unlimited villains in an isolated space? No one watching? No judgment? Safety?" He laughed maniacally, hugging himself in joy. "I’m gonna be the strongest killer the world has never seen!"

His mind buzzed with endless possibilities. He imagined himself cutting through battalions of revived villains, learning skills from them, and becoming an unstoppable force.

Tears of joy, imaginary or not actually formed at the corners of his eyes.

He sniffed, then rubbed his eyes. "System, show me my skills. I wanna see their progress. Also, how many kills do I need to level up my Killing Intent? Give it to me in your usual systematic terms."

[Certainly, Host. Displaying current skill information and progression.]

[Currently, you possess three skills, Host.]

[Two of them are mutation-based skills, which you acquired through the Obsidian Skeleton (S)-class mutation and other is Killing Intent you just acquired.]

Current Skills:

1. Minor Regeneration

Grade: F

Progress: 1 / 100

Type: Passive

Description: Gradually regenerates injuries over time.

Note: Progression increases only when receiving damage equal to or greater than current skill grade.

F-Grade Damage (e.g., small scratch) = +1 point

Higher grades require matching damage (e.g., A-Grade = organ-level injury)

---

2. Minor Strength

Grade: F

Progress: 0 / 100

Type: Passive

Description: Slight increase to base physical power.

Note: Progression requires physical training equal to the skill’s current grade.

F-Grade Training = +1 point

--

3. Killing Intent

Rank: SSS (Supreme Dao Inheritance)

Current Progression Stage: F

Progress: 0 / 100

Type: Passive/Conceptual

Note: Each kill of an enemy at or above your current Killing Intent grade also gives +1 progression point.

System note: Each rank requires x10 more than the previous

F → E: 100 kills

E → D: 1,000 kills

D → C: 10,000 kills

Looking at the floating panel in front of him, Razeal’s face froze. Then, he blinked. Slowly. Deliberately.

"...Bruhh."

He stared at the numbers as if they’d personally offended him.

"System," he began, voice flat. "I got bitten by a dog...no, not a dog. A flaming dog. With molten fire teeth. Half my damn arm was charred! If my bones weren’t built like a fortress, I’d be an armless noodle by now. You telling me that counted as an F-rank injury?!"

[Rules are rules, Host.] The system didn’t even sound apologetic. [If the skill was at D-rank, the injury would have granted a point at that level. But since your Minor Regeneration is still F-rank, it only counted as F-level progression: +1 point. One injury. One point. Simple.]

Razeal facepalmed. "So you’re telling me if I wanna level up fast, I should just stand in front of a mirror and cut myself a hundred times with a kitchen knife?"

[Exactly. For the first level at least. A normal blade and basic damage would get you through F-grade easily.]

"What am I, a masochist?!"

[Are you not?]

Razeal paused, scowling. "...Leave it."

He sighed again, now glancing at the last panel.

Killing Intent his golden ticket.

Except even that required enemies on par with him or stronger.

He leaned back against the tree trunk, thinking. "Damn... I thought I’d just go around slaying rabbits or something, level up like an old-school RPG. Now I’ve gotta hunt trained killers or elite beasts just to make progress."

Still, it wasn’t all bad. He had the Villain System Space.

An entire galaxy of villains, each with their own domain.

After five more minutes of bickering with each other

Anyway...

Razeal suddenly let out a deep breath.

He sat down with his back against the thick trunk of the tree, the bark pressing into him as if grounding his entire being. A soft, tired smile crept onto his face. He folded both arms behind his head and leaned back, gazing up.

He needed to sit. To breathe. To come down from the rush of it all. Too much excitement, too much information, too many possibilities.

Through the gaps between the dense leaves above, he saw the moon silver, distant, watching.

Night had fallen. The world had gone quiet.

Why had he suddenly gotten like this? So calm? So still?

Because for the first time... he could see a future.

Before now, everything had been fire. Chaos. Rage. Pain. A constant burning where there was no place to hide, no hope to rest in. He knew it would hurt. He knew the world wouldn’t let him sleep peacefully.

But now... for the first time, he saw a path. It was still dark. Still uncertain. But it wasn’t flame. It was shadow. It was cool. It was quiet. And strangely, it felt... warm.

Maybe... maybe he had a future now.

Maybe he wouldn’t vanish from the world like a hated stain. Maybe he wouldn’t be remembered only as a rapist, a disgrace. Maybe... just maybe, he could stand tall one day. Not hiding. Not running. Just living.

The stars glittered above blue, violet, golden, scarlet. A sky full of color and silence.

He was starting to feel something he hadn’t felt in a long, long time.

Happiness.

The thought made him chuckle under his breath. He hadn’t even been confident he’d survive much longer. Even when he received the system function today, he thought it was too incomplete and Too late.

Especially after meeting that lunatic villain woman, he thought all his chances were dead in the dirt. No one would teach him. No one would help him. No one would give him anything.

But now... now there was hope.

As the silence stretched on, Razeal murmured, "Hey, system."

[What fucking now?] the system answered, clearly still irritated.

Still looking up, Razeal smiled faintly. "Sorry."

[Huh?]

"I know I didn’t listen to you back then. I know I was reckless. But... you get it, don’t you? I can’t just say sorry right?. I won’t apologize for things I never did. And how was I supposed to accept help from people? From the ones who threw me into hell in the first place?"

His voice was low. Almost like he was talking to himself now.

"I know you understand. You were there. Always have been. The only person who knows real me afterall."

He closed his eyes. "So... I’m sorry I forgot that. That I don’t just carry my life. I carry yours too. Maybe I just got selfish for a while."

The leaves above rustled gently. The stars blinked back at him.

The system stayed quiet for a long time.

Then finally, in a tone that tried very hard to sound grumpy but couldn’t quite hide the warmth underneath it, it replied:

[Actually... there is a system training function. It’ll come in use for you.]

Hey everyone! Quick question do you prefer longer Chapters like this, or would it be better if I split them into two parts? This one could’ve easily been divided.

Either way, thanks so much for reading it really means a lot! And sorry for the delay... Just got hit with a new idea, and I thought, why not dive into it? So here we are!
