On the beach.

Lu Zheng definitely wouldn't give this middle-aged man named Pu Caiwang mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, so he just punched him in the stomach.

Lin Wan, "..."

"Gah!"

A mouthful of sea water was spat out, True Qi stimulated his heart to start beating again, and Pu Caiwang slowly opened his eyes.

The sunlight was glaring; in his view were a handsome young man and a pretty woman.

"Who are you..."

"You were thrown into the sea by Shadun and nearly drowned. Luckily, we arrived just in time, or we wouldn't have been able to save you," Lin Wan said seriously. "By the way, I'm Interpol from Hua Country."

"Oh, thank you." Pu Caiwang's eyes flickered, and he nodded, but didn't express much gratitude.

Lin Wan smirked slightly, "You can contact the Mei Country branch to verify my identity."

Pu Caiwang's eyes shifted, "Was it the branch that contacted Hua Country for help?"

"Yes." Lin Wan nodded.

Pu Caiwang's expression relaxed a bit, forcing himself to sit up, but couldn't help clutching his stomach, groaning in pain.

"What's wrong?" Lin Wan blinked.

"Nothing!" Pu Caiwang shook his head, indicating he was fine, then somewhat anxiously said, "Shadun came to Yashi this time just to negotiate a transaction with other parties from a third country. I must know the content of his transaction and his partners."

"Don't worry, I've already sent the transaction information back to headquarters," Lin Wan said. "If all goes well, it might have already been sent to the Mei Country branch by now."

"Huh?"

"Your mission is complete, so go back to the hotel to rest and contact the Mei Country branch for your next steps."

"Oh, okay." Pu Caiwang nodded blankly.

Having just been revived from drowning, his brain was still in a muddled state and didn't quite catch that Lin Wan said "I" instead of "we."

"Thanks a lot to both of you!" Pu Caiwang said. "I'll first contact headquarters from the hotel, and then properly thank you both."

"You're welcome," Lin Wan replied. "Oh, and you'd better switch hotels since you've already crossed paths with Shadun."

Pu Caiwang nodded, then hurriedly headed back to the hotel.

Watching Pu Caiwang leave, Lu Zheng couldn't help asking, "The mission is complete just like that?"

Lin Wan nodded as a matter of course, "Yes, it's complete."

"So simple?"

"Yeah, it's no big deal," Lin Wan shrugged. "I was just on a temporary mission, mainly assisting. After all, Shadun is from the Mei Country, and his main criminal activities are in the Mei Country's Golden Triangle, with no criminal record in Hua Country..."

"A body on the ocean floor?"

Lin Wan, "..."

"Can you just speak properly?"

"Fine, fine!" Lu Zheng nodded repeatedly.

"The main goal was to obtain evidence that would allow the Mei Country police to arrest Shadun and dismantle his operations in the Golden Triangle in Northern Myanmar."

Lin Wan said, "With the video we just recorded and if the Mei Country police can catch him red-handed at the transaction site, they can pretty much arrest and prosecute Shadun."

"So the body on the ocean floor is just water under the bridge?"

Lin Wan said, "Pu Caiwang himself doesn't even care."

"True," Lu Zheng said, then pouted, "I thought it would take a long time, but it was resolved in half a day."

Lin Wan was speechless, but only Lu Zheng with his Invisibility Technique could track Qi. Replace him with someone else, and they wouldn't have tackled the problem, probably still searching for Pu Caiwang, not to mention Shadun's transaction, which would be out of reach.

So when Lin Wan reported to headquarters that she had rescued Pu Caiwang and sent the video back, everyone at headquarters was surprised.

"Alright, since there's nothing more, how about we go shopping in the afternoon?" Lu Zheng wrapped his arm around Lin Wan's slim waist.

"Sure, we're supposed to go back tomorrow, so let's buy some local seafood specialities today."

Thus, the two went to the Outlets and spent a delightful afternoon, buying lots of local seafood fruits and duty-free clothes and shoes.

"Shall we go diving again this afternoon?" Lu Zheng asked.

"We just dove this morning during the rescue; it wasn't that interesting. The sea bottom in Yashi is not as pretty as tropical islands. We should go to the Great Barrier Reef for a holiday someday," Lin Wan thought out loud.

"Oh? You're agreeing to go abroad now?"

Lin Wan sighed, "It seems that no matter where we travel, we always run into trouble. With that being the case, we might as well proactively choose the destination. At least going abroad doesn't cost us money, right?"

During the trip to Southeast Asia, they won back their travel expenses at a casino and got a couple of free nights in a luxury hotel.

The trip to Europe was even nuttier; a private island got incinerated.

On the contrary, domestically, every trip costs money out of pocket, which is a bummer!

"Then let's settle it; maybe over the New Year's, the southern hemisphere will be in summer, and we can visit Australia."

Lin Wan nodded, and as they walked into the hotel lobby hand in hand, they both frowned.

"What's going on?" Lin Wan quietly asked.

Lu Zheng also pouted, "Do Mei Country's Interpol really suck this much?"

"Do you think police in every country are like those in Hua Country?"

Lu Zheng sighed, "But this is such a rookie mistake; what are they waiting for?"

Lin Wan pondered, "Maybe they're..."

Lu Zheng sensed two people approaching quickly from behind and sighed, "Waiting for us!"

Lin Wan snorted coldly.

Lu Zheng remained calm.

Then suddenly they felt a chill on their lower backs, the sensation of a gun barrel.

"Don't move! Don't shout!"

"Follow us!"

"Careful!"

Lu Zheng and Lin Wan exchanged a glance, then turned to look across the lobby at the relaxation area.

Pu Caiwang was sitting on a sofa there, beside him sat another one of Shadun's bodyguards.

Seeing them look over, Pu Caiwang's eyes flitted around, not daring to meet their gazes.

"Tsk, tsk, just as expected," Lu Zheng chuckled, "Seems like he wanted to surrender on the boat."

"Shut up!" A bizarrely accented low growl came from behind.

Lu Zheng smirked, said no more, and just followed Lin Wan, leisurely being led away by the two behind them, heading toward the docks.

"Looks like we're getting a free sea trip. I always thought yacht rentals were expensive, so I guess we got a freebie," Lu Zheng quipped.

Lin Wan snickered, then saw Shadun standing on the yacht deck.

Wearing a floral shirt, holding a goblet, he raised it towards them from a distance and drank it in one go.

"So arrogant? Thinks he has us?"

"With a boat and guns, about to go to sea, of course, he thinks he has us," Lin Wan said coolly.

"Since they have guns, it would be self-defense if I acted, right?" Lu Zheng asked with a smile.

"Of course." Lin Wan nodded calmly, then asked, "When will it be self-defense?"

"Of course after we get out to sea!" Lu Zheng seemed very much looking forward to it.
