I Have A Solo Mommy Plan, But Daddy Refuses to Let Go
Chapter 14: Infuriate Him
CHAPTER 14: CHAPTER 14: INFURIATE HIM
Felix Orwell raised an eyebrow at Landon Lawson provocatively, a devilish smile resting on his cheek.
Watching your wife flirt with another man—is there anything more excruciatingly painful?
Sienna Quinn, you certainly haven’t been idle all these years.
"Judging by your demeanor, you seem quite familiar with Sienna?" Landon Lawson sneered. Familiar, but can it be more familiar than he?
Felix Orwell wrapped an arm around Sienna’s shoulder, the gesture incredibly intimate.
"Oh? Of course, we are familiar, we’re bedmates, right?"
Felix Orwell raised an eyebrow at Sienna teasingly, the playful expression causing the woman’s face to change slightly.
"Be good, cooperate well, and drive him mad!"
Felix Orwell whispered sweetly in Sienna’s ear, yet to outsiders, it was nothing short of flirtatious banter.
One person rejoices, another worries.
Landon Lawson stared intently at Sienna—bedmates? Flirtatious banter?
Bang!
Landon Lawson slammed his palm down on the table, his chest heaving in anger.
"Looks like Sienna didn’t tell you about our relationship," Landon Lawson squinted, his thin lips pressed into a cold line.
All eyes gathered in one place. Sienna burst into laughter.
"Relationship? I haven’t had anything to do with President Lawson in ages." Sienna replied lightly.
To easily sever ties between them? The man laughed out of anger; she wanted to leave, but he refused to let her. Now that she returned, she wouldn’t leave.
Nearby, Vera Yates was somewhat worried, holding onto Landon Lawson’s hand.
Feeling the man’s trembling body and extreme fury, her heart sank slightly.
"Stephen..." Vera Yates tightly held Landon Lawson’s hand, afraid that if she didn’t, he’d disappear.
"What’s wrong with President Lawson? Such a strong reaction might make your girlfriend jealous," Felix Orwell provocatively raised his eyebrow at Vera Yates, who already looked somewhat displeased. His words froze the corner of her smile.
She awkwardly smiled, "Sienna finding true love, Stephen and I couldn’t be happier, why would I be jealous?"
Landon Lawson’s piercing gaze was fixed on Sienna, the anger in his eyes unconcealed; if it weren’t for the inappropriate setting, he would demand an explanation.
"I’m not happy!"
Simple, four powerful words, making Vera Yates’ smile finally stiffen on her face. He ultimately cared about her, whether she left five years ago or returned after five years.
The woman’s gaze gradually darkened.
Even Axel Yates, sitting beside them, was stunned.
It seemed there was an unspeakable story between these two, the four people present could easily stage a court drama.
Sienna’s heart trembled briefly, then she sneered, "Am I familiar with President Lawson?"
If Landon Lawson had said these words back then, Sienna would have been deeply moved, but that was no longer the past.
She was his woman, how could she not be familiar?
Looking at the woman’s eyes filled with resentment, Chase Orwell’s body froze momentarily, what kind of gaze was this? Was she resenting him? But why?
"What type of men does Miss Quinn like? Truly unique taste."
Landon Lawson snapped back to reality, glancing at the carefree Felix Orwell.
The provocative gaze made the latter glare fiercely.
Sienna smiled faintly, sizing up Landon Lawson.
"I prefer men with a sunny, warm-hearted smile, gentle and kind, and despise those who think they’re cool, always keeping a stern face, ultimately quite off-putting."
Crunch!
The sound of a man’s fist clenching fiercely.
Thinking they’re cool? Stern-faced? Isn’t that describing him?
Everyone looked toward Landon Lawson; it was an exact match.
"Didn’t you like this type before? Why the change in taste?"
"I was young and ignorant back then."
Landon Lawson snorted coldly. Being young and ignorant, she rendered the past ten years worthless.
Did she follow him back then, putting in every effort to get close, simply out of ignorance?
Was he, Landon Lawson, so utterly worthless in her mind?
Sienna’s disregard and sarcasm, every word pierced Landon Lawson’s heart like a knife.
Vera Yates lowered her head, avoiding letting others see the hatred in her eyes. Ever since entering the private room, Landon Lawson couldn’t say anything that didn’t involve Sienna, his hands hanging on either side.
Either mention nothing at all or fight to obtain it... Vera Yates would never allow this to happen.
A vibrating phone jerked Vera Yates back to reality.
"I’m going to the restroom."
Vera Yates spoke softly, taking her purse and leaving.
Sienna furrowed her brow and, feigning tipsiness, followed her out. Yet upon reaching the restroom, Vera Yates was nowhere to be seen.
Her brows furrowed slightly, and before she could contemplate further, a phone rang and shattered the silence. Seeing the unfamiliar number, Sienna pressed the answer key.
"Mommy, where are you?"
"Chloe?"
"I’m downstairs at the White Palace Hotel!"
Moments later, seeing the little fellow in front of her, Sienna began to doubt whether he truly was here for the first time. Even she would find it rather troublesome to find this place.
"Why did you come? Weren’t you supposed to wait for me at home?" She chided, looking at the little boy before her.
The little boy spread his arms and burrowed into Sienna’s embrace, his soft, slightly chilly body making her hold him tenderly.
Evan Quinn pointed behind him, and a man emerged from the car.
"Sean Carter?"
Sienna stared, surprised at the man who suddenly appeared, a touch of joy in her eyes.
"President Orwell asked me to bring Chloe over, and I’m here to assist you this time."
Sean Carter, Felix Orwell’s right-hand man. To Sienna’s surprise, he was so generous, entrusting this powerful aide to her.
Sienna lowered her eyes in contemplation for a moment, finally handing the little boy over to Sean Carter.
"Watch over Chloe for me, the setting inside isn’t quite appropriate."
"Mommy, you’ve always taken me to any cocktail parties. Why not today?"
