CHAPTER 244: CHAPTER 244: TOUCHING YOU IS CHALLENGING ME

"It’s good you understand. Grandma doesn’t ask you to agree with my way, I just have one request: keep this company running well, that’s my only demand of you."

Since childhood, I knew Sienna was a very stubborn person. Once she set her mind on something, she wouldn’t give up even if faced with great difficulties. Her liking for Landon Lawson back then is the best example, no matter how he rejected her, Sienna refused to give up.

The same applies to her parents’ matters. Old Mrs. Quinn knew that no matter how much she advised, it was useless, and she could only let Sienna manage Quinn Group well.

Sienna stood up, picked up the phone, and dialed a number: "Stop pressuring Quinn Group."

"President Quinn... stopping now, the company might not agree." Danielle said with some difficulty, a trace of confusion on her pretty face. Previously, Sienna was aggressively attacking Quinn Group, and now she says to stop? Is this really the same President Quinn?

Sienna anticipated Danielle’s reaction and said softly, "Do as I say. I’ll take any consequences. You just follow through." After finishing, Sienna hung up the phone. Though there might be some trouble with Yates Group, it’s nothing insurmountable.

After all, Sienna had prepared everything in advance.

"You’ve taken care of Yates Group, but what about Landon Lawson?" Tom said helplessly, considering this young person he never paid attention to would one day be bossing him around. If he had foreseen the circumstances five years later, Tom wouldn’t mind Sienna being in that car accident.

"Now that you have the raw materials, you can complete Lawson Group’s orders, and instead of a loss, you’ll make a great profit."

"But what about Clara? She’s still at the police station." Amanda Warren had long stopped caring about the company’s affairs. Everyone in the Quinn family was focused on Clara. Everything Sienna did was for Clara, and if she’s not around, why would Amanda still be busy?

Sienna picked up the phone and dialed Landon Lawson’s number: "Are you at the police station now?"

"Yes, what’s up?" The man’s voice resonated gently.

"I’m coming over now, wait for me." Sienna hung up the phone and told the three people, "I’ll fulfill my promises to you. Let’s go get Clara now."

Though it could be explained over the phone, Sienna felt it best to clarify matters directly with Landon Lawson since he put in a lot of effort for this issue, deserving an explanation.

Landon Lawson hung up the phone, furrowing his brows. Hadn’t he already told her to stay home and rest? Why is she still out? Has her leg healed?

Landon Lawson sneered softly; Sienna really doesn’t listen. Wasn’t last night’s exhaustion enough, and now she’s still running around.

Even though he was annoyed, Landon Lawson stayed with Nolan Shaw at the police station. Handling this matter was troublesome. Originally, Nolan suggested Landon go back and he’d handle it, but for some reason, Landon insisted on dealing with it personally.

Nolan whispered by Landon’s ear, "President Lawson, Clara Quinn has been crying non-stop since she was brought here, making it impossible for the police to cooperate."

"No rush, let her cry her fill." Landon could afford to wait.

Anyone daring to harm his woman must pay the price, a huge price, or else wouldn’t everyone think they can bully her in the future? Does anyone really think Landon Lawson is just for show?

At that Quinn family banquet, Landon made himself very clear, yet the Quinn family dared to harm her. Clearly, they didn’t take his words seriously.

After approximately two-hour, though the person hadn’t arrived yet, they heard Amanda Warren’s voice first: "Clara, Mom’s here to save you."

Clara Quinn, who had gradually stopped crying, got agitated upon hearing Amanda’s voice. If not restrained by the police, she would’ve jumped up.

"Mom, please hurry and get me out of here. I really don’t want to stay here."

"Shut your mouth, you don’t even see where you are. Is this a place for you to shout?" A senior officer shouted, angrily glancing at Clara Quinn. Since she’d arrived, this woman had been crying continuously, now even shouting.

As footsteps approached, a group of people came in from outside. Amanda Warren walked straight to Clara, while Sienna headed towards Landon Lawson.

Landon squinted, initially expecting only Sienna to come. He didn’t anticipate this entire family, causing his expression to grow colder: "Did they find you? Threaten you to come here to release Clara?"

Before Sienna could speak, Landon started first.

Sienna softly coughed and said helplessly, "What goes on in your mind all day? Do you think I’d be the type to be controlled by others?"

Landon was taken aback, truly overwhelmed by concern.

This woman before him isn’t someone easy to deal with. How could she be persuaded by a few words from the Quinn family? Especially when she caused the Quinn Group’s crisis.

"Then what’s this about?"

"Release them, we’ve settled it privately."

"Privately?" Landon furrowed his brows. He was trying to find a way to convict Clara and as harshly as possible, while Sienna wanted her released?

Even Nolan was full of doubt.

"Madam, just like that?"

"Let them go, I’ve achieved what I wanted." Sienna didn’t catch Nolan calling her madam, everything felt so natural, no one noticed anything amiss.

Nolan looked at Landon Lawson. Without their boss’s orders, he dared not act.

Landon squinted, looking straight into Sienna’s eyes. After a good while, he finally spoke: "Alright, do as she says."

Nolan nodded, realizing his boss has truly changed, becoming a completely different person than before. Previously, he never imagined Landon Lawson would one day compromise for a woman.

Sienna hadn’t expected Landon to be so agreeable, quietly letting out a sigh of relief.

"Thank you so much for this matter."

"You are my woman. If they touch you, they’re challenging me."
