I Have A Solo Mommy Plan, But Daddy Refuses to Let Go
Chapter 265: The Whole Family United
CHAPTER 265: CHAPTER 265: THE WHOLE FAMILY UNITED
Felix Orwell eagerly ran toward Sienna Quinn’s changing room: "Sienna, darling, the pool party is about to start."
Sean Carter was exasperated, wondering when their CEO would ever be serious. He’s liked Sienna for so many years but refuses to confess, claiming he’s surrounded by women, yet he can’t win over this emotional fool, Sienna, not even daring to confess.
Sean sighed helplessly, unsure if Felix would ever have a good outcome.
"Still haven’t found Sienna?" Landon Lawson’s brow started to show a hint of anger. Where on earth has this woman gone again?
Nolan Shaw shivered slightly; he hadn’t seen Sienna so far. He had asked everyone, and nobody knew. Landon was already angry at this point.
While they were still clueless, a wave of exclamations erupted from a distance.
"Vera Yates!"
"Wow! It’s really Vera Yates. I didn’t expect her to come today. Hasn’t she been entangled in scandals recently? Wasn’t she avoiding public events? What’s going on?"
"Haven’t you heard? Her scandals were taken down long ago. I heard it was Landon Lawson’s doing. For him, it’s as easy as moving his lips."
"Seems Landon really likes Vera Yates; he’s gone to such lengths for a woman."
Vera Yates’s appearance caused quite a stir. Her previous image breakdown shocked many, and no one expected this seemingly gentle and kind woman to be like this.
Vera had already announced publicly that she’d be taking a break for a while, but no one expected her to appear today.
Everyone speculated that Vera and Landon’s relationship had improved.
Previously, people thought Landon would reconcile with Sienna for their child and abandon Vera; the situation was becoming more complicated than anticipated.
Amidst the gossip, Vera just smiled lightly, brushing away a strand of loose hair. Today she wore a backless tight swimsuit, her gorgeous face now carrying a hint of allure.
Following the sound of people’s discussions, Vera looked over and saw Landon standing not far away. Even Vera had to swallow at the sight of his perfect figure. She smiled and walked in his direction.
"Stephen!"
Her sweet voice called out. It was only when she got closer that she saw Clara Quinn standing there, her face flushed.
Vera stood obediently beside Landon, who nodded slightly when he saw her.
"What’s going on?"
"Noth...nothing, I just came over to greet you, Stephen." Afraid that Landon would tell Vera, Clara quickly spoke. Her bright eyes welled up with tears, and she turned around and ran off.
Vera was no fool; it seemed Clara had been at a disadvantage with Landon.
"Stephen, why didn’t you call me today?"
"It was a last-minute decision to come." Landon seemed distracted, his mind elsewhere, scanning the area repeatedly, but not seeing Sienna.
Vera didn’t push further, standing quietly beside him. As long as she was seen with him, people would think they were still a couple.
Vera raised her eyebrows, searching for Sienna. She wondered where that woman was now, and if she saw her with Landon, what would her expression be?
The thought itself was satisfying.
After scanning around, she didn’t see Sienna, but another familiar figure caught her eye. She waved her small hand: "Miles~"
The latter also saw Vera following the voice, a glint of joy in his eyes, but before he could speak, his pupils contracted upon seeing Landon beside Vera. His obedient eyes turned gloomy, and he turned away to talk to other business group leaders.
Vera was momentarily stunned, murmuring in confusion: "What’s wrong with Miles? Why isn’t he coming over?"
She glanced at Landon beside her, who remained expressionless, unsurprised by Miles’s reaction. Vera’s heart sank; something had happened between the two that she was unaware of.
Though she felt doubtful, she didn’t ask. Her ability to stay by Landon’s side for so long was due to her intelligence. Landon didn’t like clingy women, and though she was curious, she didn’t inquire further.
"Daddy!"
The soft, sweet voice seemed to melt away any lingering unhappiness instantly.
Landon turned his head to see Evan Quinn running toward him, his chubby little bottom wiggling. A smile finally appeared on Landon’s lips.
Kneeling down, he scooped Evan into his arms.
"Where’s your mommy?"
"Hmm! As soon as Daddy sees me, he asks about Mommy. You only have Mommy in your heart, not me." Evan pouted, displeased, turning his head away from Landon.
Seeing Evan’s sulking look, Landon chuckled and softly ruffled his hair, "How could I not have you? You have my blood running through your veins."
Evan hummed twice.
Vera stood beside them, her eyes almost shooting flames.
Groan!
Her beautiful eyes held a hint of anger. Why? Why did Landon show such an expression? She had been by his side for five years, and even getting a smile from him was rare. Such tender affection had never been seen before.
But ever since Sienna came back with Evan, Landon seemed like a different person, making Vera feel like he was a stranger.
Evan snuggled against Landon, wrapping his small arms around Landon’s neck, leaning most of his body against him. Through the gap in Landon’s arms, he could see Vera.
Evan remembered clearly how this woman had kidnapped him before; he was certainly one to hold grudges.
The two of them, young and old, locked eyes. The elder’s eyes were filled with fury and unwillingness, tinged with helplessness, while the little one’s mischievous eyes were considering something else.
"Daddy, where’s Mommy? Why isn’t she with you?" Evan asked, tauntingly eyeing Vera, even arrogantly lifting his chin.
"I couldn’t find your mommy. Where did she run off to?" Landon grew angrier when he saw Evan, realizing Sienna wasn’t there.
Evan intentionally clung to Landon’s neck, sweetly whispering in his ear, "Daddy, let’s go find Mommy. Our little family should be complete."
A complete family...
Vera glared daggers at Evan; this little brat was doing it on purpose, just to annoy her.
Evan was clearly telling Vera that they were the real family, and Vera was just the outsider.
