Landon Lawson, based on his years of understanding the people around him, was sure that one of these two female voices must be Vera Yates. After all, she’s always been by his side, addressing him as brother.

Landon Lawson bit his lip hard, realizing that it was Vera Yates who had actually orchestrated the kidnapping of Evan Quinn. Could it really be the girl whom he always found soft-hearted and innocent? Was she truly the one he thought he knew?

Sinking into pain, Landon Lawson closed his eyes and finally believed what Sienna Quinn had said; he truly was blind.

He’d rather give Vera Yates chance after chance, yet never extend the same opportunity to Sienna Quinn. He truly was unfair, treating Sienna in such a way that it’s no wonder she constantly resented him.

Suddenly, Landon Lawson felt a wave of guilt in his heart. All those things weren’t Sienna’s doing; he had been wrongly blaming her all along. Previously the way he spoke to Sienna, now made Landon feel immense guilt, and simultaneously, intense anger. The person beside him had hidden her true nature for so long; she was indeed adept at disguising herself.

In this moment of self-reproach and remorse, Landon Lawson felt his heart turn cold. A sister he’d doted on since childhood turned out to be a scheming seductress.

He had installed a camera at Sienna’s house before, but never questioned her. Now it turns out that she was responsible for the kidnapping, yet Landon Lawson still couldn’t muster the courage to push open that door.

He had few people to care about to begin with, but now, they were all weighing heavily upon him, driving him to the brink of agony.

After hesitating for quite some time, Landon Lawson dejectedly returned to his office, no longer eavesdropping on the secret conversation the two were having.

Sitting in his chair, he pulled his tie with great force, choking himself.

Nolan Shaw stood aside, trembling with anxiety. What had happened to their boss? This sudden change, though just fine a moment ago, was puzzling. But standing there, he dared not make a reckless move.

Landon Lawson gasped heavily, his face twisted into a shade of dark fury, biting his lip hard. If given a chance, he really wanted to expose the truth, revealing everything to everyone.

After pondering for a moment, Landon Lawson turned to look at Nolan Shaw, his eyes blazing with unmasked anger, and on that sullen face, Nolan trembled: "Go ahead, do a detailed report on the recent business operations of Vance Group for me and have it sent over. Also, I need to know as quickly as possible which companies Vance Group is recently collaborating with."

Landon Lawson knew he had greatly wronged Sienna Quinn in many things, so this time, he was determined to help resolve her inner dissatisfaction and make amends for the suffering she’s endured all these years.

Aware of the many injustices he’s caused Sienna, including many misunderstandings, Landon Lawson understood Vera Yates’ character. Just based on her ruthless act of kidnapping his son and trying to harm him fatally, he would never forgive her.

Vera Yates certainly deserved some consequential lessons.

Now, Landon Lawson started formulating a rough guess. Considering that Sienna Quinn knew so much, her mentions regarding Miles Grant were likely true. Reestablishing contact with her, Landon Lawson discovered she was not how he imagined but rather a lively, adorable, and simple-minded person. Yet, as things had come to this point, he found himself deeply saddened.

Landon Lawson’s expression subtly changed. It seemed he needed to pay attention to the matters involving Miles Grant as well.

Yet for Miles Grant, Landon Lawson surely wouldn’t stand by idly. Given Miles’ previous actions against Sienna Quinn, which he was well aware of, rationally speaking, he was also involved.

Thus, Landon Lawson won’t let Miles Grant bear this blame alone, nor would he abandon a friend in need without offering help.

Nolan Shaw looked blankly at their already enraged and frantic boss, carefully pulling at the corner of his mouth, "President Lawson, why the sudden change?"

"Just do what you’re told, don’t ask questions." Landon Lawson’s face darkened. Did he really need to tell Nolan Shaw that his friend was scheming deceitfully against his woman? Such words were hard to utter; Landon Lawson couldn’t get them out no matter how hard he tried.

Mrs. Vance continued sitting in Vera Yates’ home, gazing upon her beautiful daughter. Besides her looks, she had no notable qualities, truly as foolish as anyone could be.

"Mom, what should I do now?" Vera Yates looked grimly at Mrs. Vance, feeling utterly helpless, clueless about what she should do to win back Landon Lawson’s heart. Even she knew she was powerless to do anything.

Mrs. Vance let out a sinister laugh, "Finally you think of me now. From the start you should’ve known there’s nothing your mother can’t accomplish. Given the situation, it’s your methods that are flawed. If the emotional approach isn’t working, why not be straightforward? Force yourself onto Landon Lawson, get pregnant with his child, and even if he has no interest in staying with you, he’ll be obliged to because of the child."

Mrs. Vance chuckled darkly, her squinted eyes gleamed with an unusual light, the smirk on her lips always mysterious.

Vera Yates gazed at her in daze, abruptly realizing that perhaps this was the only way to get results. After deep contemplation, she ultimately resolved to carry out such a plan.

Sienna Quinn suddenly received a document from Landon Lawson while working in her office.

Opening it delightedly, Sienna was shocked to find a detailed report on the current status of Vance Group, a few recent collaborative projects, and several confidential matters within the company.

Sienna Quinn felt exceedingly curious. They had drawn lines at noontime, cementing a lifelong enemy status, yet by afternoon Landon Lawson suddenly sent her such significant secrets. Was it to help her?

Sienna sat before her computer, pondering for a long time, then decided to forward the document to Felix Orwell and Chiara Thorne.

Before long, her office door swung open by Felix Orwell.

Felix stared at Sienna in astonishment: "How did you get this document? I’ve been trying incessantly to secure it, needing two, three days at least. Sienna, you’re something else; I never knew you had such clout back home."
