I Have A Solo Mommy Plan, But Daddy Refuses to Let Go
Chapter 294: An Unexpected Interloper
CHAPTER 294: CHAPTER 294: AN UNEXPECTED INTERLOPER
Miles Grant said very blandly, "It’s Landon Lawson’s father!"
Axel Yates breathed a sigh of relief instantly, his heart now filled with a very complex emotion.
Seeing Axel Yates’ expression, Miles Grant knew that he must be extremely shocked right now and unable to accept the news. He had achieved his purpose.
Miles Grant left a sentence and walked away, "You have a grudge against him, and so do I. He deceived me under the guise of friendship and now targets our Grant Group. If we join forces, we can definitely ruin him. Think about it; I’m not in a hurry."
"Impossible. This must be false. I’m quite clear about what kind of person Landon Lawson is. Though our relationship isn’t great, Landon Lawson is upright and never a shady character."
Axel Yates refused to believe what he heard, because the information was too overwhelming for him to accept.
Miles Grant paused for a moment, looking at Axel Yates as if he were a fool, and slowly said, "You only know Landon Lawson, but not his father, do you think Landon Lawson’s father is a good guy? If that’s true, why did he die the same year as your parents? How did the Lawson Family achieve their current status? Do you know these things?"
Miles Grant left a series of rhetorical questions, making Axel Yates’ expression increasingly serious as he pointed at the man in front of him and slowly said, "Believe it or not, I’m done interfering."
Miles Grant walked out without looking back, and Axel Yates’ gaze gradually turned sinister as he watched his figure.
Sitting there fiercely, all his resentment surged out; he never thought that his friend for years was his father’s killer and all these years, Landon Lawson had been close to him. There were many opportunities he could have discovered this secret, but Landon Lawson never told him.
Aside from violating brotherly ethics, he couldn’t think of anything else.
Axel Yates sat there for a long time, contemplating all the events of recent years, feeling very resentful inside.
Why would his best friend betray him?
Axel Yates returned to his room, thought for a long time, and had no mind to go to work, sitting alone in the room, pondering everything that had happened recently.
Axel Yates didn’t eat or drink all afternoon, just sat dumbly on the bed without moving an inch.
Until late, Axel Yates suddenly picked up his phone and dialed the recent number.
The room was eerie, with no lights on, only Axel Yates saying: "I agree."
Axel Yates finished speaking and hung up.
After an afternoon of decision-making, Axel Yates finally decided to stand against Sienna Quinn and assist Miles Grant in dealing with Landon Lawson.
All the plans that had already started to formulate calmed down with Axel Yates’ involvement. Sienna Quinn looked at the data in her hands, her brows furrowed, her pretty little face filled with confusion. How did it turn out like this? Initially, it shouldn’t have been like this.
"What’s going on? How did it end up like this?" Sienna Quinn’s brows furrowed, her anger making her expression unreadable.
Chiara Thorne stood by, also somewhat bewildered by the situation. How did it change so suddenly?
Bang!
Felix Orwell suddenly pushed the door open, his face extremely grim, looking very unpleasant.
"What’s happening now?" he slowly asked the woman in front.
Chiara Thorne shook her head; she too was unclear about the current situation, filled with confusion. She frowned slightly and said, "I don’t know why, but I heard the Grant Group suddenly received a sum of money. This money has somewhat stabilized their company’s situation, and at the same time, the Vance Group also received help, allowing both companies to recover somewhat."
A sum of money?
Could it be Landon Lawson?
Felix Orwell’s face was grim as he spoke to Sienna Quinn, "Besides Felix Orwell, I really can’t imagine who else could achieve this."
To revive two companies overnight, this alone is quite remarkable. In their view, only Landon Lawson and Axel Yates could accomplish such a feat. But Axel Yates is on their side, why would he do something to harm them?
Upon reflection, it could only be Landon Lawson.
Looking at the woman in front of him, he spoke with his mouth slightly open and closed, "I think it should be Landon Lawson."
"Landon Lawson..." Sienna Quinn’s voice grew quieter; even she inwardly assumed it was Landon Lawson, biting her lip tightly. At this crucial moment, Landon Lawson ultimately chose to stand on the opposite side from them.
Sienna Quinn’s cute face was tense, and Felix Orwell’s inner anger exploded, turning around and heading outside. When Sienna Quinn tried to stop him, it was too late.
Felix Orwell walked out without looking back, the scenes in front of him wavering. Landon Lawson still claimed to love Sienna Quinn; is this how he loves her? It’s both laughable and frightening.
"Get out of my way!"
Landon Lawson was sitting in the office, listening to the noise outside, his brows slightly furrowed. What was happening? How did it become like this?
"President Orwell, you can’t go in." Nolan Shaw’s voice also came through, sounding like Felix Orwell was here. Why did this person come? Shouldn’t he be by Sienna Quinn’s side now?
The noise outside made Landon Lawson furrow his attractive brows, picking up the phone and dialing Nolan Shaw, "Let him in."
Nolan Shaw stared blankly at the irritable Felix Orwell in front of him, pondering if letting him in would bring trouble here?
"President Lawson said to let you in."
Seeing the open door, Felix Orwell let out a soft chuckle, his mouth slowly curving upwards.
It seems Landon Lawson has some guts, at least daring to let him in. Originally, he thought Landon Lawson would be a cowardly turtle, and if he dared not come out, it would be truly laughable.
"Move aside!" Felix Orwell’s eyes held a touch of cold laughter, moving things aside coldly, pointing at the man in front of him, slowly speaking.
Nolan Shaw was stunned a moment but ultimately stepped aside.
Felix Orwell angrily walked in, looking at Landon Lawson sitting inside, speaking coldly, "Happy now? Two-faced, I thought you were a real man. Turns out you are rather skilled. Landon Lawson, you’re the best at acting, aren’t you?"
