I Have A Solo Mommy Plan, But Daddy Refuses to Let Go
Chapter 302: The Lost Little Girl
CHAPTER 302: CHAPTER 302: THE LOST LITTLE GIRL
He cried out all his grievances, all his fears, all his terrors. This crying could be said to astonish the heavens and move the gods. After crying.
Sienna Quinn pushed Landon Lawson away and suddenly noticed that a part of Landon’s shirt was wet. She shyly lowered her head. She realized whose pattern this was, and as Landon looked at Sienna’s face, he swallowed; her enticing little mouth pouting like that, and just like this, the crisis was considered over.
Sienna felt extremely exhausted by some things that had happened recently. She reflected carefully, from a certain day five years ago up to this day, it seemed she had been living for revenge, but now, her purposes were almost achieved.
With the passing of Miles Grant, Sienna felt a lot of meaning was missing from her life. Previously blinded by revenge, she had not had time to properly enjoy the life around her or the people near her, harboring malice toward everyone.
Sienna also thought of many things; the Landon Lawson of the past was very different from the one now. In the past, he was extremely indifferent to her, but she felt that in this life, Landon had changed significantly, becoming more empathetic.
He truly cared for her and sincerely treated her. Sienna felt her enemies had received their due karma, and now she should live her own life well, especially since she had a son to raise.
For Evan, nothing could make him happier than living happily with his parents. Sienna felt she shouldn’t be selfish anymore and should consider Evan’s well-being.
Walking by the roadside, Sienna, for the first time, felt that the scenery was actually this good. It was also the first time she opened her eyes to look at the world, casting aside the complex bubbles between human hearts, discarding work troubles and her own hatred, using a very appreciative attitude to enjoy it.
Sienna was walking by the roadside when she suddenly noticed a little girl sitting under a tree crying. Sienna, carried by the spring breeze, was very joyful, and this evoked a pure kind-heartedness from deep within. Sienna was inherently a kind person, merely hurt by an unfeeling world.
Sienna paused for a moment, then walked over to the crying little girl.
Sienna crouched slightly and asked with a particularly gentle attitude, smiling: "Little friend, what’s wrong? Why are you crying?"
The little girl held a pinwheel in one hand, gently spinning in the breeze, while the other hand was wiping tears from red, swollen eyes.
Seeing Sienna approaching, the little girl sobbed, "Mom said she was going to buy me an ice cream and told me to wait here and play by myself for a while, but over an hour has passed, and I haven’t found her."
Sienna just thought this little girl was very adorable. For the little girl, a world without a mother might indeed be a very dark place.
This inevitably reminded her of her little Evan. Evan was also a child, still not grown up. When he didn’t have his father by his side, life wouldn’t be very happy either. For children, the happiest and most fulfilling thing is having their parents with them, playing together every day.
Sienna suddenly noticed that the little girl in front of her was crying even more sadly, and she snapped back to reality.
Sienna’s stiff smile gradually softened, her demeanor becoming incredibly gentle: "Little one, don’t cry, auntie will help you find your mom, okay?"
The little girl quickly took her hand away from her eyes and asked curiously, "Really? Can auntie really help me find my mom?"
Sienna extended her right pinky finger in front of the little girl and said, "Then let’s make a pinky promise. If auntie can’t help you find your mom, auntie will treat you to an ice cream, okay?"
The little girl hesitated for a moment and said, "Mom said I shouldn’t eat things given by others."
Sienna suddenly found the situation both laughable and admirable. Yet she deeply appreciated the little girl, obedient and sensible like her son, always keeping her mother’s words in mind.
Whether out of overflowing motherly love or for her little Evan, Sienna wanted to help this little girl in trouble.
Sienna cheerfully said, "In that case, once we find your mom, after getting her approval, auntie can buy you an ice cream, alright?"
The little girl hesitated for a second, nodded, and gradually stopped crying, becoming acquainted with her own tears.
The little girl wiped away her tears and extended her little finger, gently hooking it around Sienna’s.
For the first time, Sienna felt such powerful strength given to her by a stranger. Suddenly, she realized the innocence of this child, capable of relieving her of so many burdens. Having been blinded by worldly vices for so long, now, apart from the purest and most simple things, nothing else could move her.
Holding the little girl’s hand, Sienna walked towards a popular ice cream shop nearby. She speculated that the girl’s mother might be in line at the shop, which was why she hadn’t returned for her child.
The child might have suddenly felt very afraid after not seeing her mother for so long. A child this small, away from her mother for such a period, of course, would feel especially lonely.
As Sienna led the little girl along, she increasingly felt the place grew more deserted. At this time, weren’t there usually many people outside?
Sienna suddenly realized she seemed to be in a particularly isolated area, making it feel eerily terrifying, so she quickened her pace.
Along the way, Sienna chatted and laughed with the little girl, afraid she’d feel very lonely out here alone. It also helped them build a sense of kinship.
Suddenly, a dark figure appeared in front of Sienna and the little girl.
Sienna had been sharing her experiences over the years with the little girl, sharing little stories, when suddenly, a dark shadow appeared, blocking their path.
Sienna and the little girl were both startled. Within two minutes, a person from the group dashed out, scooped up the little girl, and took her away.
Before Sienna realized, the little girl had been taken away. She seemed bewildered, not comprehending what had just happened, and hadn’t yet cried, probably still processing the sudden events.
When the man in black placed the little girl down, Sienna saw a woman in her thirties, crying anxiously, rushing to the little girl, picking her up, and running off in another direction.
