CHAPTER 317: CHAPTER 317: OWE HIM A HAND

Faced with Sienna Quinn’s calm, Chiara Thorne was anything but calm.

"President Quinn, what did you just say? Miles Grant is dead?" Chiara Thorne was full of shock. Although Miles Grant wasn’t a figure in the business world, he was, after all, the son of a wealthy family. Such a big event, and they didn’t have the slightest bit of information about it.

Sienna Quinn sneered. She felt no sympathy for Miles Grant’s death. His death was his own doing; the number of people who died by his hand was countless. It was deserved, heaven’s retribution!

Sienna Quinn even felt it wasn’t enough to quell her anger!

He was dead, but the sins he committed were not yet completely resolved.

"Miles Grant is already dead. Pay attention to the movements of the Grant Family." Sienna Quinn spoke slowly.

Chiara Thorne nodded. The matter was nearing its end; no mistakes could be made.

"Then Landon Lawson..."

"His hand got injured because of me. No matter what, I have to accompany him through this period, to make up for the hand he lost."

Chiara Thorne sighed. She had heard Felix Orwell talk about the hand injury before. It was because she saw the feelings Landon Lawson had for Sienna Quinn that she stayed here for several days.

"Go back to the company early; the company needs you, Chloe needs you, and also..." Chiara Thorne paused but didn’t say the last name.

Her gaze turned to the villa door. At this moment, that man was probably still waiting at the gate for her news, wasn’t he?

Although he was more worried about Sienna than anyone else, he didn’t dare to come find her himself. Such a carefree person, yet he was cautious because of Sienna.

The love Felix Orwell had for Sienna was clear to everyone around them, but Sienna just couldn’t see it, nor did she care. It left those close to wondering when their boss would finally win over Sienna, or if it would never happen in this lifetime.

"Alright, I’ll be back tomorrow."

Hearing Sienna say this, Chiara felt reassured.

Chiara Thorne left the Lawson Villa and immediately saw the man leaning against the car. She walked over, shook her head with a bitter smile, "Young President Orwell, President Quinn probably won’t come back today."

Felix Orwell’s enchanting face showed a hint of anger upon hearing Chiara’s words. What exactly did Landon Lawson want? He had been monopolizing Sienna for days without any news.

"Did Sienna say anything else?"

"No, she didn’t say anything else."

Chiara Thorne didn’t tell Felix Orwell what Sienna had confided in her. Both she and Sean Carter were acutely aware of Felix’s feelings for Sienna. Understanding this, she chose not to tell Felix.

Felix Orwell turned with a blackened face and got into the car. However, this scene was clearly witnessed by the Lawson Family’s servants.

Meanwhile, one of the Lawson family’s servants quietly slipped into the bathroom and dialed a number.

"Hello? Miss Vance, rest assured, I have recorded the conversation between Miss Quinn and her friend. The recording pen has already been successfully mailed to your house. Remember to receive it. Although I didn’t catch everything, I got most of it."

"Alright, got it." The voice on the other end of the line was cold and disdainful.

After hanging up, Vera Yates’ lips curled into a smug smile.

Sienna Quinn, let’s see how you’ll fight me now.

The night was slightly cool. Outside the giant floor-to-ceiling window, neon lights flickered, and the flowing traffic intertwined, adding a touch of chaos to the bustling city.

Landon Lawson was swirling the wine in his fingers, the crimson liquid glinting eerily under the dim yellow lights. Although his workday had ended, he hadn’t gone back yet.

He was afraid of going back and not seeing Sienna, yet afraid of going back and actually seeing her.

"President, aren’t you leaving?" After waiting quietly outside for a while, Nolan Shaw couldn’t help but come in.

"Hmm." The man’s cold voice responded.

Nolan Shaw looked at his boss’s lost expression, wanting to speak up but hesitated. Finally, he mustered the courage: "President, I really don’t understand you. Clearly, Miss Quinn, the one you yearn for, has come back for you. Why do you ignore her? Even avoiding her so much that you won’t even go home?"

For a while, Landon Lawson didn’t say a word. Nolan Shaw remained tense, cold sweat clinging to his palms.

Landon was of course happy Sienna came back for him, but along with the joy came fear. Fear that Sienna was there to repay the favor for his arm, not out of genuine love.

Landon lightly caressed his right arm with his left hand; there was no feeling.

His brows furrowed deeply as he lifted his head and downed the wine in his glass.

The icy liquid momentarily suppressed the turmoil inside him.

Just as he left the Lawson Group, he ran into Vera Yates.

"What are you doing here?"

"Stephen~" Vera Yates’s eyes were filled with affection, and while batting her eyes at Landon, she unconsciously leaned into his arms.

"If you have something to say, say it quickly." Landon furrowed his brow tighter, stepping away from Vera’s advances.

A fleeting malice flashed through Vera’s smiling eyes, but she continued her sycophantic smiles: "I’ve come to show you something good."

Vera Yates took out a recording pen and gently pressed it, the dialogue between Sienna and Chiara played out.

"I owe him. I owe him an arm. I want to do my best to make it up to Landon Lawson."

Listening to that familiar voice, Landon stood frozen on the spot.

A bitter smile formed on his lips. So, she really wanted to be with him because of his arm, not out of love.

After the bitter smile came rage. Landon, with veins bulging on his forehead, felt his temples pulse wildly, as if his head might explode.

Sienna! If you’re feeling grateful because of this arm, then there’s no need for gratitude.

Landon’s gaze drifted to Vera, his eyes bloodshot. He seized her wrist and dragged her toward the Rolls-Royce.

"Ah! Stephen~ You’re hurting me~" Even though Vera grimaced in pain, she didn’t forget to act coquettish.

"Where are we going?"

"Home!"

Vera’s smile widened, but a trace of viciousness flickered in her eyes. Just a simple sentence, and Landon minded so much.

Sienna was indeed becoming more and more important in his heart!

Merely thinking about it was driving Vera Yates mad.

Lawson Family Villa.

Sienna had prepared a table of dinner, just waiting for Landon to come back.

In fact, whether he returned or not these past few days, she had been preparing dinner.

"Bang!"

The door slamming startled Sienna, making her heart race.

She stood up and walked to the door to greet him. Sure enough, it was Landon who had returned, but behind him was the nauseating Vera Yates.

Why is she here?

This sense of doubt floated in Sienna’s mind.

The same doubt arose in Vera’s mind. Sienna really was shameless; did she really plan to cling to Stephen? She had been staying at the Lawson Family Villa for quite some time now, and yet had no shame in refusing to leave!

Upon seeing Sienna, Landon switched from dragging Vera to embracing her. Vera also eagerly wrapped her arms around Landon’s neck.

"Back? Seems like President Lawson and Actress Vance have rekindled?" Sienna said with a cold smile.
