I Have A Solo Mommy Plan, But Daddy Refuses to Let Go
Chapter 345: Landon Lawson’s Plan
CHAPTER 345: CHAPTER 345: LANDON LAWSON’S PLAN
"Just this once, can’t I show some mercy without a reason?" Landon Lawson said coldly.
Sienna Quinn frowned, her eyes showing displeasure. "How much longer do you want to keep things from me? Do you really think I know nothing?"
"What do you know?"
Landon Lawson’s handsome features were furrowed with a troubled look, making Sienna realize things were not as simple as she thought.
"I heard everything Axel Yates said that day, all the grievances between you two must have their reasons."
"So what if you heard it? It’s just Axel Yates talking nonsense." Landon said coldly. He knew this matter should not draw Sienna in. Everything felt abrupt to him now, including the situations with Axel Yates and Miles Grant, triggered by that mysterious third party whose aim was to leave them defenseless, taking advantage of the chaos.
A well-played scheme.
Even Landon himself didn’t know when they started.
"Landon Lawson, how long do you intend to keep this from me?" Sienna shouted angrily, her pretty, delicate face already filled with anger.
Landon’s eyebrows knitted tightly, his thin lips pressed into a line, unwilling to speak a word for a long time.
Sienna sneered and paused. "Fine, if you won’t say it, I will."
"Axel Yates said your father killed his parents. I specifically asked Felix Orwell to investigate. Axel’s parents died in a car accident eight years ago, and your father passed away within six months, under suspicious circumstances. Though the Lawson Family kept this matter well hidden, how could your father, always in good health, suddenly die?"
Landon’s eyes turned deep. What Sienna said was what most outsiders knew -- his father’s sudden death without reason. The Lawson Family officially stated it was due to illness and sudden death.
"You should know my father’s health better than I do. You investigated our family a lot back then when pursuing me. Since we both know it, why bring it up now?" Landon sneered repeatedly.
"Of course it should be brought up. If this issue isn’t resolved, the matter between you and Axel Yates will never be resolved."
Looking at the woman’s persistent demeanor, Landon pursed his lips tightly.
"Do you really think I know nothing?"
Sienna paused after she spoke, then slowly said, "Back then, everyone said your father got infected and died the next day. Yet I know he had a physical exam just the day before, with no abnormalities. How could he contract a fatal disease? The talk was just to quiet outside gossip."
"What else do you know?" The man frowned coldly, looking at the woman before him; for a moment, Landon felt he couldn’t understand her.
Sienna’s hands moved from her stomach to the table, drawing closer to the man, her face coldly observing him as her lips opened and closed. "I know a lot; which part do you mean?"
"Everything!"
Landon shouted angrily.
Sienna still hadn’t realized the gravity of the situation; does this woman have a pig’s brain? Must things be spelled out so clearly?
A cold laugh interrupted Landon’s anger; although the office contained only the two of them, the aura emanating from Sienna couldn’t be matched by anyone else. Even Landon was shaken by the fierce intensity.
Is she still the woman he knows?
"You previously wouldn’t say a word when I asked you; now you want me to tell you all? Are you dreaming?"
"Sienna, have you still not realized?" Landon was really angered by Sienna; how could this woman be so foolish?
Sienna paused, then nodded with a bitter smile. "Of course, I realized. The position I’ve held in your heart has always been like this."
"Like what?" Landon asked with confusion.
"Like not loving me, not holding me dear. Anyway, from the start, your heart was filled only with Miles and Vera Yates. Chloe and I are nothing to you."
Sienna pressed her lips tightly, her pretty face reflecting a touch of helplessness in her bitter smile. Even after expressing her feelings, Landon still held no space for her in his heart. If there was indeed a place, then why wouldn’t he accept her feelings?
Or perhaps...
From the start, he was merely unyielding, unyielding to Sienna’s indifferent attitude...
Watching the cold smile on her lips, Landon stared dazedly at the woman before him, a helpless smile gently quirked up at his lips as he slowly spoke, "Is that how you truly see me?"
"Isn’t it?"
Sienna refused to back down, raising her head to look straight at him.
"I love you, and in a very sincere way." Landon finally spoke after remaining silent.
"I hope you won’t doubt my feelings for you and Chloe anymore."
Landon slowly spoke, his handsome face displaying rare warmth. Sienna stood there dazedly; what did she just hear? These days, Landon seldom expressed he liked her. Did her ears have a problem?
Watching the woman’s startled appearance, Landon chuckled softly, slowly rising. From being oppressed at first, he had taken control, surrounding Sienna in his aura. The forceful presence made Sienna frown her lovely brows.
Landon grabbed Sienna’s shoulder with one hand, but this time, the warmth in his eyes vanished. His profound gaze made Sienna pause slightly.
"What I’m about to tell you is very important."
Sienna stood frozen there, her whole body stiff, daring not to move. Her bright eyes fixated on Landon’s eyes.
"What is it?"
"You and Chloe, go to France!"
"Why?" Sienna frowned. He had just expressed his feelings, yet now asks her and Evan to go to France. Is this his idea of affection?
Seeing a hint of loss in those beautiful eyes, Landon felt a pang of regret.
"This place isn’t suitable for you and Chloe; you must trust me. Could I possibly deceive you? Do nothing in France; I can give you a good living."
Landon had already prepared everything in France long ago, ensuring Evan and Sienna could have an excellent living environment there, away from danger, during these most perilous times.
What’s more, France was Felix Orwell’s domain. With him there, no issues would arise. That was Landon’s plan.
