CHAPTER 346: CHAPTER 346: JUST DO ME THIS FAVOR

"How is it not suitable for me anymore? Just because you say so?" Sienna Quinn was almost laughing out of anger. This Landon Lawson’s unreasonable words were really more unreasonable than anyone else’s.

"There’s a reason for everything I’ve arranged. You just need to follow what I said."

The man’s voice brooked no doubt. Judging by his demeanor, he’d probably been thinking this through for a long time, only now speaking up.

"I’m not leaving. Why should I leave?" The woman said coldly. Her stubborn attitude seemed to make it impossible for anyone to manipulate her.

The man’s brows furrowed as he looked at the woman he loved deeply. His cold eyes suddenly dimmed. It seemed things weren’t going as he had planned.

The woman snorted coldly and exclaimed, "Landon Lawson, do you really want my child and me to leave that much?"

Landon squinted, his gaze lingering on Sienna, trying to discern any flaw in her eyes.

"Yes, I do want you both to leave quickly," Landon replied coldly.

"Because your and Evan Quinn’s presence has seriously affected my life. I said I liked you before, but it was just a temporary expedient. You did intrigue me, but now it seems that’s all there was to it," the man’s words, once spoken, stabbed into Sienna’s heart like a knife.

Sienna pursed her lips pensively, tears twirling in her eyes. Hadn’t he just said he liked her? How could he change his tune so suddenly?

"Then you just..."

"I was just putting you off. I didn’t expect you not to fall for it."

The sound of a lighter echoed in the silent office, and a small flame erupted from it. The air, twisted by the heat, trembled continuously.

Landon lowered the flame to his cigarette, taking a serious drag, a cloud of white smoke billowing from his nostrils, obscuring his handsome face.

Through the thin smoke, Sienna looked at Landon, for a moment feeling he was so elusive, like a man she could never grasp.

She had thought that in this life they’d be shackled together, binding them both firmly, but now it seemed that no matter how much she wanted it, it would be in vain if this man didn’t want it too.

Sienna laughed at herself, nodding, then suddenly turned to lift her head, swallowing back the tears that were about to fall.

"Whether I go or not, it’s not up to you. You should mind your own business first," Sienna said, then turned away without hesitation. Perhaps coming here today was a mistake. Besides herself, no one else wanted her here.

"President Quinn, are you leaving already?" Axel Yates saw Sienna coming out of Landon’s office and quickly followed. He’d been with Landon for years and knew well what mattered to Landon. At least from his perspective, nothing was more important to Landon than Sienna.

Sienna choked back tears: "You take good care of your boss. Today was my mistake. I shouldn’t have come here."

With that, she turned and walked away, not looking back. Axel followed for a moment before realizing Sienna was serious about leaving, and he shook his head helplessly.

Everything had been fine just now, so why had things suddenly turned out like this? His mind was filled with questions.

"Axel Yates!"

"President Lawson."

Hearing the man inside calling him, he quickly went in, only to find Landon turned away.

"President Lawson, do you have any instructions?" Axel asked, head bowed, waiting for Landon’s directive.

"Go buy two plane tickets to France for next month," Landon said slowly.

Axel nodded and turned to leave, but stopped abruptly.

"President Lawson, who are the plane tickets for?"

"Sienna and Chloe."

"What?" This time, it was Axel’s turn to be startled. Why suddenly buy plane tickets for the two of them? And to France, no less?

Landon spoke slowly: "You’ve seen the current situation. It’s a tumultuous time, and even my own safety is uncertain. Sienna and the child staying here isn’t safe."

Even Axel had to admit this. For days, he’d been helping Landon investigate Miles Grant’s cause of death, and it was like diving into a swamp, where anything that fell in was impossible to retrieve.

The fear of the unknown struck him, making him understand Landon’s intentions in an instant.

"Does President Quinn know what’s going on?"

Axel asked carefully. After all, Sienna’s demeanor when she left wasn’t optimistic.

Landon shook his head. There was no way Sienna could know about this. If she were told the truth, she would never leave.

For now, Landon’s sole focus was on protecting both of their lives.

This time, no mistakes could be made.

"Understood, I’ll take care of it right away." Axel never delayed in getting things done, immediately setting about arranging the plane tickets.

Just as Axel left, Landon took out his phone and dialed a number.

"Landon Lawson, what prompted you to call me?" Felix Orwell’s carefree voice carried a hint of a playful smile.

Landon, why did he suddenly think of calling him? Since he returned to the country, he’d received hardly any calls from Landon.

Could it be, could it be something happened to Sienna?

"Is it Sienna? Tell me!"

"Sienna’s fine, but there’s something I need your help with," Landon replied calmly yet firmly, his eyes growing deep. If there wasn’t an urgent necessity, he wouldn’t want to entrust Sienna to Felix.

Felix felt relieved hearing Sienna was okay. He then chuckled coldly: "If there’s nothing wrong, why call me? As far as I know, you, Landon Lawson, are practically invincible. Do you really need my help?"

Facing Felix’s sarcasm, Landon seemed unmoved.

"Although Sienna isn’t in trouble, this matter does concern her. I think it might interest you."

At the mention of Sienna, Felix’s playful demeanor turned serious.

"Let’s meet. Two o’clock this afternoon. The café below your office."

Once they’d agreed, Landon drove straight to the café below Felix’s office.

By the time Landon arrived, Felix was already there.

The two looked at each other, exchanged few words, and sat down.

"What matter could possibly bring you to me?" Felix asked.

"I hope you can take care of Sienna and the child, just do me this favor."
