I Have A Solo Mommy Plan, But Daddy Refuses to Let Go
Chapter 377: Conversation
CHAPTER 377: CHAPTER 377: CONVERSATION
Sienna Quinn gently pressed her lips together and rubbed the little child’s forehead,
"How about just the two of us living together from now on?"
Sienna Quinn finally said these words, as it was something Evan Quinn would have to know sooner or later.
Evan Quinn’s pupils froze for a moment, and the tears that had lingered in his eyes finally fell.
"Mommy, are you planning not to have Daddy anymore?"
This pitiful voice made Sienna’s heart ache, yet how could she explain to Evan?
"We’ve been living like this for the past five years, don’t you want to continue living that way?"
"I don’t want to."
Evan said firmly, reaching out his small hand to gently wipe the tears from his cheek.
His wish had always been for the three of them to live harmoniously together, and knowing that Landon still had feelings for Sienna, he had naively believed that such a thing could happen, but now Evan finally recognized it would never be reached.
It turns out that until now, Mommy still hasn’t accepted Daddy.
"If you don’t want this life, then go live with your Daddy. From now on, don’t say you’re my son."
Sienna’s voice also became choked up.
Felix Orwell watched the relentless quarrel between mother and son and quickly tried to intervene: "Why bother arguing with a child, after all, he’s just a five-year-old who understandably wants to be with his father."
Sienna turned her head to look at Felix’s eyes, swallowing back the tears in her eyes.
"Since he wants to live with his father so much, why does he need me?"
Seeing Sienna’s stubborn stance, Felix sighed somewhat helplessly.
Though Sienna had always appeared as the CEO in front of everyone, only Felix knew there was always a little girl inside her longing for protection, tenderness, and understanding.
Felix embraced the little child in his arms and said to Sienna somewhat helplessly, "You’re angry now, let’s wait until you calm down, and then we’ll talk."
Felix carried Evan away to separate them, while Sienna remained seated on the sofa, the tears streaming down.
Evan felt unhappy, and could Sienna feel any better? Inside, she wasn’t any less hurt than Evan.
But these issues are beyond her control; they’re all due to Landon’s choices. Love cannot be sustained by persistence alone; it requires mutual understanding to progress optimally.
At this moment, Evan didn’t realize his mother held much grievance in her heart.
Evan suddenly turned his gaze to Felix Orwell and asked solemnly: "Uncle Felix, tell me, is my thinking really wrong?" Seeing Evan’s serious expression, Felix gently shook his head.
Yet he could grasp the situation, why couldn’t Sienna?
Whether this matter was right or wrong ultimately had nothing to do with Evan; he was merely collateral damage.
Felix gently rubbed the child’s hair, a face full of love, and said: "Whatever decision your mother makes, let’s not force her, okay?"
"Why? But I just don’t understand why Mommy doesn’t want Daddy anymore."
"Because your Mommy has things she needs to think about." Felix smiled warmly while comforting Evan and pondering other matters.
Evan pouted slightly, disgruntledly muttering: "I just don’t get it, what’s there to think about? Just be happy together and that’s it."
"You’re still young and don’t know how challenging the adult world is. Some things can’t just follow one’s heart." Felix gently rubbed the restless head.
Being a child truly has its perks; they can love fearlessly, express their affection freely, while he cannot honestly reveal his feelings for fear of Sienna distancing herself.
Moreover, they can sit freely without worrying about any consequences.
Felix handed Evan to Sean Carter, his gaze deeply set as he said: "Keep an eye on Evan, make sure he doesn’t run around, and don’t let him approach Sienna."
Sean looked at Felix with some confusion: "Why can’t he get close to Sienna?"
"Because Sienna isn’t in a good state now and might end up arguing with Evan."
Sean stared at Felix, slightly smiling bitterly: "This mother and son often seem like a pair of little rivals, arguing over trivial matters, this time what’s it about?"
"It’s about Landon."
Felix said solemnly.
Sean’s pupils widened suddenly, quickly shutting his mouth; his previous joking demeanor vanished instantly.
Though not quite clear on what Evan and Sienna were arguing about, as soon as it involved Landon, he knew it wasn’t his place to speak.
"Where are you heading?" Sean asked somewhat puzzled.
Felix glanced elsewhere, not directly addressing Sean’s question.
"To discuss business with someone."
Sean didn’t think much about it and went over to Evan, looking at this boy who was still sobbing.
Felix left the banquet hall and headed straight for the garden.
Today’s birthday party was held at a large hotel, with a beautifully decorated garden outside.
When Felix reached the fountain in the garden, there stood a tall, desolate figure.
The figure slowly turned around, his gaze deeply fixed on Felix.
"What’s up with you seeking me out?"
Landon, who should have been in the banquet hall, had noticed Felix’s glance at him as he and Sienna left.
Landon intentionally went to the garden and waited for Felix.
Felix lightly nodded and walked to the man’s side, his lips parting as he said, "Have you really made up your mind?"
"I’ve made up my mind. I hope you can help me."
Landon naturally understood what Felix was referring to; something that concerned both of them deeply likely had nothing to do with anything else but Sienna.
Upon hearing Landon’s response, Felix’s eyes gradually grew profound, his brow furrowing slightly.
"I know you’re doing this for their safety, but have you considered that perhaps your choice is a mistake?"
"As long as it ensures their safety, then what I’m doing is right."
