I Have A Solo Mommy Plan, But Daddy Refuses to Let Go
Chapter 380: Leaving
CHAPTER 380: CHAPTER 380: LEAVING
"Why haven’t we seen Landon Lawson?"
Chiara Thorne asked with some confusion.
Felix Orwell shook his head lightly, not knowing where Landon Lawson had gone. He probably already left.
Sienna Quinn’s eyes showed some loneliness, but Felix Orwell saw this clearly.
Felix Orwell approached Sienna Quinn and whispered, "I have something to discuss with you."
"What is it? You can say it here." Sienna Quinn looked at Felix Orwell, puzzled.
Felix Orwell shifted his gaze towards the few people behind him, and then slowly spoke, "I’m planning to return to France in half a month. How about you come with me?"
Sienna Quinn was slightly stunned, clearly not expecting Felix Orwell to say such a thing. She shook her head gently and said, "I still have some things left to do, so I won’t be going back with you for now. But why are you returning to France?"
Curiously looking at Felix Orwell, wondering why he would want to escape his father’s control just to return to France so soon.
Felix Orwell chuckled softly and slowly said, "It’s my father’s birthday, his 60th, and I must return to celebrate with him."
"Is President Orwell really 60 already?"
She asked, somewhat puzzled, because in her memory, the elder hadn’t reached that age yet.
Moreover, in Sienna Quinn’s memory, this month probably wasn’t the elder’s birthday.
Detecting Sienna Quinn’s doubt, he slowly explained, "There are some matters coming up for my father soon, so he decided to celebrate his birthday early this year. He specially called me, hoping you could come along, as he wishes to see you on his birthday."
Looking at Felix Orwell’s sincere invitation, Sienna Quinn hesitated slightly. Thinking back on the caretaking she’d received from the Yates Family all those years, making her life easier, she smiled and nodded, "Alright then, if that’s the case, I’ll go with you to France next week."
"Alright, then it’s settled."
Felix Orwell’s lips curled into a smile, his beautiful eyes flashing with a glimmer.
The task Landon Lawson had entrusted to him was almost complete; at least Sienna Quinn had agreed to go to France with him.
As long as he could bring Sienna Quinn and Evan Quinn to France, he possessed the absolute power to guarantee their safety.
"Remember to bring Evan Quinn along too."
"He can stay here, since he won’t be gone for long before returning." Sienna Quinn looked at Felix Orwell somewhat puzzled.
Felix Orwell smiled and shook his head, gently hugging Evan Quinn beside him, dotingly ruffling his hair.
"My father specifically mentioned that Evan should be brought back as it had been a long time since he last saw him. Originally, I had no plans to return either, but it’s my father’s birthday this time."
Hearing this, Sienna Quinn nodded and said to Evan Quinn, "Shall we return to France together next week?"
"Will we come back?" Evan Quinn asked seriously.
Seeing his tense expression, Sienna Quinn understood his concerns well, gently ruffling his soft hair, and said with a doting smile, "If you want to come back, I’ll bring you back."
"Really?" Evan Quinn looked at Sienna Quinn with some skepticism... For some reason, he had a feeling that once they left, they might not return.
Seeing Evan Quinn biting his lip nervously, Sienna Quinn’s heart ached slightly, but her face blossomed into a smile.
"When have I ever lied to you?"
"If that’s the case, let’s promise each other."
Like a shadow, he extended his finger, Sienna Quinn entwined hers with his, their eyes meeting. In that moment, all promises were made.
While they were talking, a sudden commotion erupted in the banquet hall.
Sienna Quinn glanced over, seeing a familiar figure appear in her view. Her elegant brow furrowed slightly.
Unexpectedly, Axel Yates showed up here, and Danielle Carter was accompanying him.
Axel Yates and Danielle Carter walked toward Sienna Quinn. Axel’s lips curled into a perfect smile, his previously calm demeanor now shrouded in deep shadows.
This man was no longer the Axel Yates she once knew.
With a sour expression, Chiara Thorne looked at the approaching man and said, "Why are you here? You’re not welcome here." Facing Chiara Thorne’s dismissal, Axel Yates didn’t even flinch, maintaining his expressionless face and coldly looked at Chiara Thorne. With indifference, he slowly said, "I’m here to celebrate your birthday today, and you treat your guests like this?"
"Since you said it’s my event, naturally, I decide who’s welcome and who isn’t."
Chiara Thorne stared coldly at Axel Yates, fully aware of what he’d done to Sienna Quinn and Landon Lawson, having no goodwill towards this man of deceit.
Axel Yates’s mocking smile played on his lips, his gaze settling on Sienna Quinn, with a faint smile at the corner of his eyes. Slowly, he spoke, "It’s been a long time. Hope you’ve been well."
Sienna Quinn stared coldly at Axel Yates. She couldn’t forget his actions, having initially thought of assisting his company due to their bond, yet he laid traps for her instead.
"It’s indeed been a long time," Sienna Quinn said icily, her gaze cold, distancing herself from him with pure indifference.
Sienna Quinn’s tone of ice surprised Axel Yates; he was never treated this coldly by her before...
Sienna Quinn’s lips were tightly pursed; though Axel Yates targeted her before, she’d never been angry, but now it felt different.
Axel Yates was not the person she once knew... He changed, becoming cold and ruthless, aiming to achieve his goal without scruples, utterly amoral.
"Since it’s a reunion between old friends, why the chill?" Axel Yates chuckled lightly, seeing Sienna Quinn’s brows furrow slightly.
"When were we friends? We might have been before, but now isn’t there a difference like that between strangers?"
Seeing Sienna Quinn’s distant attitude, Axel Yates’s eyes darkened.
His smile turned chilling, "You treat me this way because of Landon Lawson, don’t you? Does Landon Lawson love you? Does he even have you in his heart?"
Hearing Axel Yates’s sarcastic words, Sienna Quinn merely smiled faintly.
