"What does this private matter of ours have to do with you?" Sienna Quinn’s mocking gaze swept back and forth over Axel Yates.

Beside her, Felix Orwell also chuckled, shielding Sienna behind him and cautiously watching Axel Yates.

Because of the prior conversation with Landon Lawson, they already knew that Axel Yates was no longer the gentle, easygoing person he once was.

"Since you’re here to attend the banquet, don’t bring up things that don’t concern us, and we don’t seem to be that familiar with you."

Watching Felix Orwell standing in front of Sienna, Axel Yates sized him up with an amused smile: "You’re destined to be a backup your whole life. No matter how much you like Sienna, don’t you still lack status?"

Hearing Axel Yates say this, Felix Orwell’s face changed slightly. He cautiously glanced at Sienna and, seeing no change in her expression, he exhaled in relief.

With cold eyes, Felix Orwell said sternly, "Don’t think you can drive a wedge between us here. Sienna and I have known each other since childhood, and your simple words can’t divide us."

Seeing Felix Orwell’s denial, Axel Yates chuckled softly, "You think you’re strong, but in my eyes, you’re a perpetual loser. If you can’t even confess to a woman, what future do you have? Your whole life you’ll just follow behind Sienna, watching the person you like be with other men."

Every word Axel Yates spoke pierced Felix Orwell’s heart.

Sienna looked at Felix Orwell, whose face was turning uglier, and slowly spoke to Axel Yates, "Don’t use your malicious thoughts to suspect others. The world is still beautiful, not everyone lives in the shadow of hatred like you."

Axel Yates cast a cold gaze at Sienna, mocking her with a smile, "Don’t forget, you and I both have the same vengeance for our parents’ deaths. Haven’t you sought revenge?"

"I have sought revenge. I want justice for my parents, but I have methods and principles. I would never be as reckless and inhumane as you."

Sienna said all she wanted to say in one breath.

The verbal battle between the three left Danielle Carter stunned, looking awkwardly at the trio in front of her.

On one side was her current CEO, on the other her former boss—both of whom had been kind to her.

"Sienna..." Danielle Carter carefully called out to her.

Sienna, however, turned her expressionless gaze to Danielle, and said coldly, "It seems you shouldn’t call me sister anymore. I don’t have a sister like you. I worked tirelessly for the company, but how did you repay me? You used me to attack Landon Lawson; is this how you repaid my kindness?"

Facing Sienna’s sarcastic remarks, Danielle pursed her lips tightly, a hint of embarrassment on her pretty little face. If possible, she wouldn’t want to see Sienna being used by others.

Chiara Thorne looked at the group, lightly coughed, and expressionlessly said to Axel Yates, "Since this is my birthday party, I have the right to invite or not invite anyone. I hope you can leave."

In response to Chiara’s expulsion order, Axel Yates wasn’t angry. He looked at Sienna with interest.

"If I’m so unwelcome here, there’s no need for me to stay. But I believe there will still be a day when we meet again, as our matters are not over yet."

Axel Yates laughed softly, but the smile was hideously frightening.

Evan Quinn sat on the side, staring blankly at Axel Yates. Was this really the same Axel Yates as before? Why did he feel so cold and ruthless, a total stranger?

Evan Quinn carefully called Axel Yates’s name, "Uncle Axel."

When Axel Yates turned his gaze to Evan Quinn, especially seeing those unusually clear and pure eyes, he shivered involuntarily.

Only children seemed to have such clear eyes.

Looking at that pure little face, Axel Yates pursed his lips lightly, "It’s really been a long time since I saw you."

"Uncle Axel, don’t you miss me?" Evan Quinn’s delicate little face made Axel Yates feel ashamed for a moment...

Axel Yates bit his lip hard, turned, and left without hesitation.

When facing adults, he could say anything he wanted, but when facing such an innocent child, he was speechless.

As if looking at Evan Quinn any longer would taint the purity of this child...

Just as Axel Yates was about to leave, he turned to look again and felt a pang in his heart when he saw him in Sienna’s arms.

In Axel Yates’s heart, he genuinely liked this sweet child.

As soon as Axel Yates left, Felix Orwell worriedly looked at Sienna.

"Will he harm Evan?"

Chiara bit her lips lightly, "I never thought he’d become such a person. What could cause such a drastic change in someone?"

Sienna’s eyes grew deep; Axel Yates became like this because of his parents’ deaths.

But now someone told Axel Yates that the murderer of his parents was Landon Lawson’s father.

Now Sienna’s only way to resolve this is to find evidence that Landon Lawson’s father isn’t the killer...
