I Have A Solo Mommy Plan, But Daddy Refuses to Let Go
Chapter 4: Five Years Later
CHAPTER 4: CHAPTER 4: FIVE YEARS LATER
Her handwriting is always powerful and beautiful, but it doesn’t look like it was written by a delicate girl.
Landon Lawson remained silent; his deep eyes were fixed on the divorce agreement, as if trying to see through it.
After an unknown period of time, he suddenly raised his hand and angrily tore the divorce agreement in half: "Who does she think she is? Does she think Landon Lawson is someone she can marry or divorce at will?"
"Tell her, divorce, don’t even think about it. In my world, Landon Lawson’s world, there is no divorce, only widowhood!" Nolan Shaw had never seen Landon Lawson this angry before.
"Call her now, immediately, right away! Have her get over here and give me a reasonable explanation. Divorce, if there’s going to be a divorce, I’ll be the one to propose it."
He just said there’s no divorce, only widowhood... Of course, Nolan Shaw didn’t dare to mock as he quickly took out his phone to make a call. But before he found Sienna Quinn’s number to dial, a call came in.
"President, it’s a call from the villa."
Landon Lawson realized he was overreacting and soon returned to his usual calmness, giving Nolan a subtle look, indicating for him to take the call.
After answering the call, Nolan Shaw’s heart was in his throat; the more he looked at the absurdly calm figure of the president, the more he felt afraid.
"Speak quickly!" Landon Lawson’s upbringing held him back from cursing.
Nolan Shaw shivered holding the phone, speaking softly: "President, the cleaning lady said that she found a letter from Madam saying she’s left..."
"Left? Where did she go?" Landon Lawson furrowed his brows, his voice as cold as if it was coming from an ice cellar.
"Not... sure, didn’t say." Nolan Shaw didn’t even finish speaking when the man, who was sitting in the swivel chair, abruptly stood up like a gust of wind, striding out of the office.
However, this divorce agreement was sent by Sienna Quinn before she went to the airport yesterday.
She’s probably already on the other side of the ocean now!
...
Five years later.
Aethel International Airport, T3 terminal exit.
A fair-skinned woman with delicate features, wearing a light white long dress, a large sun hat, and sunglasses, waved at the girl who was holding a white sign with her name: "Over here."
"Mommy, is this the city you used to live in?" A cool-looking, cute little boy with a black backpack asked in a sweet, childish voice, looking up at her.
Sienna Quinn pretended to be serious, looking at him and speaking deliberately: "Please, Young Master Quinn, be patriotic and speak Chinese, okay?"
The little boy furrowed his brows slightly, pouted, and muttered in English: "Chinese culture is profound and extensive, but English is easier to understand." Although his Chinese was good, growing up abroad left him with a slight accent, and of course, there were many expressions he could say but didn’t fully understand.
Looking at the serious glint in the woman’s eye above him, he finally compromised: "Alright, as a Chinese, we should be patriotic."
Seeing her son finally speak in Chinese, Sienna Quinn nodded in satisfaction and crouched down to kiss his cheek.
The cute little boy stomped angrily: "Mommy, please remove your makeup before kissing me next time, okay? Your lipstick is all over my face."
He said this in Chinese, quite loudly, attracting the attention of many around them, who looked at the beautiful woman leading such an adorable child with envious eyes.
"Oh my, such a cute baby, he speaks so well. Are they celebrity mother and son?"
"Yes, the mother is beautiful, and the little kid is so handsome and cute. Which celebrity is this? Haven’t seen them before."
"Who cares, let’s snap some photos first..."
"..."
This scene startled Sienna Quinn who picked up the little one on the ground and quickened her pace out of there.
However, the little one was pleased, hearing people compliment him and his mother. He held his head high, proud, and completely forgot about Sienna’s lipstick smudge on his face, happily hugging her: "Mommy, they all think we’re celebrities and say I’m handsome."
Sienna Quinn cast him an exasperated glance, dropped her luggage, reached out, and pulled his hat down: "Sure, sure, you’re the most handsome, practically a blue-faced disaster. But now, keep a low profile for me—I don’t want to become a viral sensation the moment we return." Mainly, she didn’t want her son’s photos circulating online.
Because his face resembles someone else too much, even with his heavy bangs covering his forehead, they couldn’t hide the distinct features and exquisite, prominent facial structures.
If he appeared with her in the same frame, the Lawson Family would probably immediately recognize him as Landon Lawson’s son.
She didn’t want to end up in court the moment she returned.
