CHAPTER 429: CHAPTER 429: A HAPPY FAMILY?

Could it be that she’s not living here anymore?

Sienna Quinn picked up her phone and dialed a number. Just after finishing dinner, Sienna, seeing the familiar caller ID, slightly raised her eyebrows.

These people never used to call him on their own initiative. But just after Amanda Warren and Tom Quinn got into trouble... first it was Grandmother looking for her, and now Amanda...

She never thought she would one day receive such "care" from her family.

But this so-called "care" appeared somewhat laughable to her.

"Why did you suddenly think of calling me?"

"What exactly is it about? Don’t you know?" Amanda’s voice was somewhat icy; this woman had actually set her sights on her parents...

Sienna’s lips curled into a faint, cold smile, her eyes filled with thick sarcasm: "Since you already know what it’s about, why don’t you just shut your mouth? Do you think I’m going to change my mind because of your call?"

"You..."

Clara Quinn was trembling uncontrollably with anger, she never imagined someone would dare speak to her this way.

But now she needed help and had to soften her tone...

"What will it take for you to release my parents?"

"If that’s what you want to talk about, you’d better not get any ideas."

Sienna didn’t want to waste words with Clara, thinking it best not to answer such calls.

After all, she was about to leave soon, and some troubles she was unwilling to involve herself in.

Just as Sienna was about to hang up, Clara’s urgency broke through: "Don’t hang up yet, where are you now? I’ll come see you in person."

"You want to see me?"

Sienna’s voice grew more elevated, with a hint of subtle mockery.

Clara gritted her teeth, wondering when she had to be so humble in front of Sienna?

Still, she needed something from her... every time she thought of this, Clara felt a bit of anger.

"I want to see you."

"I’ll send the address to you now." She ended the call and sent her current villa location to Clara.

Chiara Thorne looked at Sienna with some confusion and asked, "Why do you still want to see Clara Quinn now? Is there any room for maneuvering on that issue?"

"There’s no room for compromise." Sienna’s voice was exceptionally cold, yet Chiara was puzzled, "If there’s no room for discussion, why meet her?"

"I just want to see what my blood relative will say."

"Aren’t you just asking for trouble?"

Chiara shook her head helplessly. She couldn’t understand what Sienna was doing... but since Sienna was set on this, supporting her was all she could do.

Sienna dressed up to leave the villa when she noticed Felix Orwell looking at her quizzically.

"It’s so late already, and you still plan to go out?"

Even with Felix guarding Sienna closely, he dared not be complacent... If something really happened, there wouldn’t be any chance for regret.

Moreover, Axel Yates was actively looking for trouble with Sienna.

Sienna turned her head, puzzled at Felix, wondering why anyone would question her comings and goings, which was not the case before... now it felt like someone was always watching her...

"I’m going out to meet Clara Quinn."

"What’s the point of meeting her?"

Felix’s eyebrows furrowed slightly, clearly unaware of Sienna’s previous actions.

Sienna’s lips curled into a cold grin: "Some grudges haven’t been settled yet."

"The Quinn Family?"

Felix’s curiosity was met with a gentle nod from Sienna.

"Then I’ll go with you."

Felix picked up the nearby coat and followed after Sienna without hesitation. Sienna chuckled and shook her head; seeing his determination, she knew opposing him was pointless.

Sienna and Felix waited for Clara at the entrance of the community. Over ten minutes later, Clara arrived and got out of the car.

Clara eyed Felix standing beside Sienna, her eyebrows slightly furrowing, a faint cold smile gracing her lips: "Are you afraid I’ll eat you? Do you always need a man accompanying you wherever you go?"

"Even a cornered dog will jump over a wall—how do I know you won’t turn into one?"

Clara’s expression changed slightly at Sienna’s insult. She was about to retort but remembered her purpose for coming, so she swallowed the barrage of abusive words.

"I’m here to discuss something important with you today."

"You mean your parents, right?"

Sienna’s lips drew a line of sarcasm, having known Clara’s intention from the first call.

Clara pressed her lips together, a hint of helplessness tugging at the corners of her mouth.

"Since you’re so blunt, I’ll cut to the chase as well." Clara took a deep breath...

Felix stood aside, unaware of the specifics between the two, obediently staying by the side. His sole aim was to ensure Sienna’s safety.

Moreover, in dealing with the Quinn Family, Sienna probably wouldn’t need his help; they were no match for her.

"Say what you need to say, if nothing, I’m leaving."

Sienna’s red lips parted slightly, her tone carrying a hint of impatience.

Seeing Sienna’s demeanor, Clara became anxious and quickly said, "What will it take for you to let my parents go?"

"Do you know what they did?"

Sienna asked without emotion, staring Clara straight in the eyes.

Clara was slightly stunned, her pupils filled with intense anger: "Didn’t you set them up, forcing them to admit to those fabricated crimes? You’re just seeking revenge to avenge your parents."

Though Clara wasn’t aware of exactly what happened, she couldn’t believe her parents would commit such heinous acts.

Sienna’s lips suddenly curled into a mocking smile: "You think I set them up?"

"Isn’t it? You’re all alone now, of course, you can’t stand to see our family united and happy."

Suddenly, Sienna’s brows shot up... her pretty face filled with intense coldness: "United and happy? Those eight words are laughable—in no small part due to Tom and Amanda, my parents perished in a car accident. My current state is because of you, so making them pay a price is only right."
