"Do you have anything else to say? Hurry up."

Hearing Landon Lawson’s voice becoming somewhat impatient, Sienna Quinn paled, her lips pressed tightly together.

"After Evan and I leave, you must take care of yourself. Your arm still can’t move, and you must go to the hospital for regular check-ups. If there’s any heavy or tiring work, don’t do it yourself."

But during the conversation with Landon, she hadn’t detected anything unusual...

Vera Yates and Axel Yates hinted to Sienna that Landon was about to face a crisis, but if that were true, she’d never leave him alone...

Sienna lay weakly on her bed.

The soft knock on the door interrupted her thoughts, and a familiar figure wobbled towards her bed.

"Mommy, why aren’t you asleep yet this late?"

"Because mommy was thinking about something, just a bit lost in my thoughts."

Sienna gently hugged Evan Quinn, looking at the face that resembled Landon’s by eighty to ninety percent, momentarily feeling puzzled.

Seeing Sienna suddenly fall into contemplation, Evan gently rubbed his little face and said, "Is it because you saw my face and thought of Daddy again?"

"You little rascal, what are you always thinking about? It seems like nothing escapes your eyes."

Sienna said helplessly; people said she had given birth to a prodigy, and she used to defend Evan, insisting he had the innocence of a child.

But now, he even made her question her previous evaluation of him; no matter from which perspective, he was a little adult...

Evan beamed at Sienna; she shivered slightly, realizing that what he said was just to make her smile...

Hugging Evan tighter, wishing she could meld him back into her body...

Sienna’s voice became tender, as Evan’s mouth curled into a beautiful arc, suddenly cupping Sienna’s face and planting a kiss on it.

Feeling the soft sensation on her cheek, Sienna’s lips curved into a lovely smile: "You truly are my joy, even if it’s just the two of us for the rest of my life, I’m willing."

Now in Sienna’s heart, no one could surpass Evan’s importance...

Evan proudly raised his head, a confident smile on his lips...

"After all, I am your son, it’s only natural! If I wasn’t great, wouldn’t that imply you’re not great? So, for Mommy’s sake, I will definitely persist no matter what."

Looking at this precocious little boy, Sienna felt uplifted.

"Will you sleep with me tonight?" Sienna suddenly pulled Evan into her arms, lovingly resting her chin on his shoulder...

"Of course, I love sleeping with Mommy the most."

"Since that’s the case, you must behave, otherwise, I won’t let you sleep with me anymore."

Sienna said smugly, which earned Evan’s disapproval...

"Why do you sound so wronged? Like sleeping with me is such an honor."

With a face full of grievance, Evan’s cuteness made Sienna burst into laughter, holding him tightly in her embrace.

"Despite any complaints, you’re still my cutest little treasure."

Hearing Sienna’s straightforward affection, the little boy just nodded in satisfaction, smiling serenely as he hooked his arms around Sienna’s neck, and the two slept entwined.

Meanwhile, over at Landon Lawson’s side, things were different. After hanging up on the female protagonist, he fell into deep thought.

His face was etched with profound sadness... if he could, why would he want to hang up so quickly on her?

Landon squinted lightly, gazing at the brightly lit night outside through the window, lost in thought.

"What were you thinking about so deeply? I saw you were on the phone with a woman just now."

Suddenly, Caleb Shawcross’ familiar voice rang beside Landon, making him frown slightly as he turned to face him.

Every time this man appeared, the corners of Landon’s mouth twitched slightly.

He still vividly remembered instructing Nolan Shaw to arrange Caleb’s accommodation, and that kid had come back boasting about it.

However, when he got home, he found Caleb comfortably in his house...

No wonder Nolan assured him several times that the place was very secure, and that no one could just walk in, now Landon finally understood why...
