I Have A Solo Mommy Plan, But Daddy Refuses to Let Go
Chapter 51: Blind to True Worth
CHAPTER 51: CHAPTER 51: BLIND TO TRUE WORTH
"Sienna, calm down, we don’t have any evidence right now, even if you go to find her, it won’t help." Sean Carter held Sienna Quinn’s shoulders, with Evan Quinn missing, everyone was anxious, but it was absolutely crucial not to panic now.
Sienna covered her face with both hands, her heart was already in turmoil, there were only a few people who she truly cared about right now, and Evan was the most important one among them. She couldn’t even bring herself to imagine what she would be like without Evan Quinn.
Seeing Sienna’s anguished expression, plunged into self-blame, head in her hands, imagining the adorable little boy being taken away by bad people was unbearable.
Suddenly, like an explosion, a man’s face appeared before her eyes.
"President Lawson... Landon Lawson!"
As the name was uttered, both turned their heads to look at Danielle Carter, who was holding back her sobbing voice, saying, "That day, President Quinn, when you went to the hospital for drugs, Chloe was on a half-day shift, I went to pick her up, in the underground parking lot, I saw President Lawson. When he found out Chloe was your child, his face was terrifying, he even tried to reach out to grab her."
Recalling that day with Landon Lawson, Danielle still felt a lingering fear. Now thinking about it, could it have been Landon Lawson, although he had some conflicts with Vera Yates, the latter certainly didn’t know Sienna had a son.
At the mention of Landon Lawson, Sienna and Sean exchanged glances, and saw shock in each other’s eyes.
Just then, the ward door opened, and the hospital’s surveillance room staff came in, showing a surveillance video they had loaded onto a phone.
"In the video, we see a man walking away with a child, take a look, is that your child?"
Sienna anxiously took the phone, trembling uncontrollably.
The footage showed Landon Lawson carrying Evan Quinn away.
Yet Evan seemed extraordinarily compliant, lying quietly on Landon’s shoulder, neither crying nor fussing.
"Landon Lawson!"
Sienna didn’t waste any words and headed outside after hearing this, Sean worried that something might go wrong, the last time because of the matter with Landon Lawson’s hands, Felix Orwell was furious for a long time, his warnings upon coming here were very grave, if anything went wrong, Sean would be in trouble.
"Hey? You guys..."
The surveillance staff was taken aback, there was actually another video on the phone they hadn’t finished watching, but the people had left.
The man looked at the next video, puzzled, scratching his head, were they taking the child for a paternity test? Was he the child’s father? Or was there doubt that the child wasn’t his?
Though Sienna had moved out of the villa she lived in for a year, it remained very familiar to her. Though they were married for five years, truly being together, how often was it? Landon had all kinds of ways to avoid her.
While she had nothing to do, she could only stroll around the villa, observing every plant, knowing which flowers bloomed and which wilted better than a gardener.
Even with her eyes closed, Sienna wouldn’t get lost at the Lawson Family estate.
All the memories surged through her heart, the pain in her chest growing ever stronger.
Landon Lawson, if you don’t love me, why would you take my child? Are you trying to drive me to despair?
Sienna knew Landon didn’t know Evan was his son, then what was all of this for? Was it just to see her suffer?
The woman clutched the leather seat tightly, fingers digging in, her beautiful face filled with worry and anger.
"As a grown man, Landon Lawson might attempt whatever it takes, even targeting Chloe."
When they arrived at the Lawson Group villa, Sienna was standing at the door, unable to take a step further, her eyes filled with sadness, this villa held too many unhappy memories.
This was a place full of sad memories.
"If you don’t want to go in, I’ll bring Chloe out."
"No need, we’ll go in together, you can’t bring her out alone."
Sienna took a deep breath, some issues only they could resolve, taking Chloe away was inevitably tied to her.
Evan looked at the man in front of him, their eyes locked, neither backing down.
"What’s your name?"
"Evan Quinn."
Last name Quinn? Why not follow his father’s surname? Unless Sienna doesn’t want people to know who his father is.
From Sienna’s attitude towards him, it’s very likely that it’s him.
Landon’s eyebrows furrowed, the bold guess in his heart grew bolder, if Evan Quinn really was his son, then everything matched, especially considering what happened on their wedding night five years ago, the two indeed had a relationship.
Although it was under the influence of drugs, Landon was always healthy, and driven by the drug’s effects, that night he went on and on.
Could it be from then?
"How old are you?" Not a question, but commanding, if the age matched, then the child must be his. Evan’s brows furrowed, this man is quite domineering, and that’s probably why mommy was upset, liking that kind of woman.
He may be small, but this time he stood up for Sienna.
"Almost three." Evan said proudly.
Not three yet? Landon Lawson’s eyes dimmed, the age was wrong, if not his child, why did he look so much like him?
Seeing the chubby little face, the naively soothing look, there was no way he could be lying, not especially such a small child. Yet Landon ultimately underestimated Evan Quinn.
His age and intelligence were not in proportion.
"Who did Sienna date abroad?" The man’s fist clenched tightly, daring to steal his wife, did they want to die?
Was it Axel Yates or Felix Orwell? Weren’t they afraid of committing bigamy?
Landon’s thoughts were clear to Evan, and fortunately, Evan let his guard down, otherwise, if Landon was serious, Evan wouldn’t stand a chance against him.
"Many pursued mommy, but my daddy passed away when I was very young. Daddy cherished mommy, holding her as the gem of his heart, only insightful men know the most beautiful woman."
Saying this, Evan lifted his smooth chin proudly, though his voice was soft and sweet, the gaze was imperious, even Landon had to admit it was oppressive.
Moreover, he couldn’t explain why he felt the little guy’s words were layered, as if hinting at his past foolishness.
Landon’s face darkened: "Do you know the relationship between me and your mom back then?"
She was his woman, and could only be his.
They hadn’t divorced yet, how could she be with another man?
"I know, I saw it on the news."
