CHAPTER 55: CHAPTER 55: SEE YOU IN COURT

"Where are his parents? Whose child is this? So ill-mannered." A somewhat overweight woman shouted, and if Teacher Cole hadn’t been in the middle stopping her, she probably would have rushed over to personally teach Evan Quinn a lesson for her son.

The little boy stood where he was, his gaze unwavering. Even faced with a furious woman, he showed no fear, his eyes indifferent to everything before him.

"Nate’s mom, it’s just kids fighting." Teacher Cole was in between them.

"Just fighting? It’s not your kid, is it? Look at how my son got beaten up!" The woman shouted.

Sienna Quinn arrived unhurriedly, as she had other matters to attend to at the company and had left Sean Carter and the others there since personal matters shouldn’t take up company resources.

As Sienna Quinn reached the doorway, she heard the commotion inside and frowned slightly. It seemed Evan had indeed brought her a troublesome woman.

Entering the room, she saw Evan obediently standing there, and the middle-aged woman was holding Nate in her arms, occasionally yelling at Chloe, calling him an ill-mannered child.

The sound of the door opening interrupted the argument inside the room. The woman eyed the incoming professionally-dressed, well-groomed and beautiful woman.

The woman sized up Sienna Quinn, snorting coldly, "You’re his mom? A real vixen, pretending to be a strong woman? Can’t even educate your own son."

Sienna Quinn smiled lightly and proactively approached Teacher Cole, who awkwardly explained the situation.

Sienna Quinn ignored the woman and instead squatted down, examining Evan’s injuries, frowning slightly. She had never seen him so hurt from childhood till now, and a surge of anger rose in her heart.

Standing up, she pulled Evan behind her.

"As far as I know, and I’ve already seen the surveillance when I was on my way here, your son was the one who bullied the girl first and then got into a scuffle with my son, right?"

Sienna was neither servile nor overbearing, maintaining decorum despite the woman’s sarcastic remarks.

The more this contrast showed, the more Teacher Cole noticed the gap between the two.

"Nate’s mom, I have heard Chloe explain everything. It was Nate who first took her teddy bear."

"So what if my son took a bear? It’s just a toy, right? I can reimburse her for it. Does that mean he can hit my son?"

Suddenly!

Sienna Quinn burst into laughter, not bothering to conceal it.

With eyes full of ridicule, she provocatively lifted her chin, disdainfully looking at the woman.

"Like mother, like son. I used to not believe it, but now I see the old saying holds true."

"What do you mean? You vixen, clearly out seducing men everywhere." The woman hugged her shoulders, sizing up Sienna Quinn, the more she looked, the uglier her face became. Sienna’s curvy figure and graceful demeanor, each inch of her youthful and energetic skin made the woman envious.

"I see there’s nothing left to say to you. We’re all civilized people, let’s just go through legal procedures."

"Legal?" The woman laughed sarcastically, looking at Sienna Quinn as if she were a fool.

"Really think you’re different just because you have some knowledge? You’re going to sue such a young child?"

"Your son’s indeed not old enough, but you are!"

The smile at the corner of her mouth gradually faded, her cold eyes turned towards the woman.

The woman’s mocking smile gradually stiffened on her face, her pupils showed shock.

"Me? You’re planning to sue me?"

The woman pointed at herself, finding Sienna’s idea absurd.

"It’s normal for kids to roughhouse, but as an adult, you’ve insulted me in many ways. There are witnesses here who can testify for me." With that, she glanced at Teacher Cole beside her.

The woman paused, "How boring."

"I’m someone who holds onto things once I catch them, slightly stubborn, so see you in court." She said, pulling Evan along as she walked out.

The woman behind her realized Sienna was not bluffing, rushed up, and grabbed her arm, "Your son hit my son, it’s unresolved, how can you leave?"

Sienna lowered her gaze, looking at the hand grabbing her arm, "Shall we add malicious injury to the list?"

The woman’s hand trembled, hurriedly withdrawing.

"Since I’ve studied, I should make good use of the law, so I’ll pursue it to the end." Sienna Quinn smiled lightly.

The woman’s face turned dark, not expecting her to be so relentless, "Don’t make a big fuss out of nothing, what have I done to you? Do you really believe the law can punish me?"

Nate’s mom said disdainfully.

"The law will accept!" A clear, cold voice rang out, a man and a child entered from the doorway.

He nodded politely toward Lana Lamb, "Hello, I’m Chloe’s dad. I’ve heard about the kids’ issue and thought I should offer my opinion."

Chloe’s dad glanced around, finally fixing his eyes on Nate’s mom, "What Chloe’s mom said was not a joke. I’m a lawyer, and I will take this case."

"You... you both!" The woman’s face turned ugly, pointing at Chloe’s dad and Sienna Quinn.

Chloe’s dad was a renowned local lawyer, undefeated in any case he handled.

News outlets have covered the undefeated battle god of the legal world.

"You win!" The woman said while pulling Nate away, Evan suddenly stepped forward, blocking Nate. Nate instinctively took two steps back, hiding behind the woman, trembling, having long forgotten he was taller than Evan.

"What do you want?"

"Apologize! To Chloe!" Evan’s resolute gaze was undeniable.

The woman paused, realizing she was now the target of anger, reluctantly tugged Nate’s clothes, "Hurry up and apologize, always causing me trouble."

Nate lowered his head towards Chloe, "I’m... I’m sorry."

"That’ll do now." Nate’s mom said impatiently, pulling Nate away.

Chloe stepped forward, her small face flushed looking at Evan, "Thank you."

"No problem, just don’t get bullied again, women are really troublesome." Evan turned his head, embarrassedly avoiding looking at Chloe.

Watching the two close friends, Chloe’s dad smiled and proactively handed over a business card.

"Here’s my card, today’s mishap was because of Chloe’s trouble, but Evan really is a little gentleman," the man smiled at Sienna Quinn. Actually, after the incident, Chloe had called him via the nursery teacher, and he rushed over as quickly as possible.

He and Chloe had listened at the door for a while, this woman was not simple, even if he hadn’t come in, she could’ve resolved the predicament just now.

Sienna exchanged business cards with him, glancing at the card in her hand, which prominently read Todd Lowell, lawyer, only three years older than her.

However, Sienna was somewhat curious about who this man really was.
