I’m Really a Villain
Chapter 1335: Zhang Huajin, Purgatory Demon Charioteer Sacrifice
"What's this guy up to?" the armored man frowned.
An ominous feeling welled up inside him as he unleashed his Immortal Might, striking directly toward the Purgatory Demon Charioteer.
The Purgatory Demon Charioteer ignored him entirely, burying the heart he held deep underground.
The earth received a heart, as if about to come alive.
"Thump, thump, thump," echoed the heartbeat, as if the entire Firmament began to tremble along with it.
The armored man's fist hit its mark, launching the Purgatory Demon Charioteer away.
The Purgatory Demon Charioteer slammed into a nearby mountain, a resounding boom erupted, causing the rather unimpressive mountain to cleave in two.
Yet the Purgatory Demon Charioteer remained indifferent, slowly rising to look at his empty chest.
Without a heart, his life force gradually weakened.
He slowly extended his right hand; the Demonic Qi had vanished, replaced by a dense Demonic Qi.
The next moment, countless roars resounded, akin to the sound of the Vein Gate being opened.
The entire realm, which housed this Demon Realm, was invaded by Demonic Qi, like an impregnable fortress, sealing off the void completely.
"What is this?" The armored man's gaze focused.
"Purgatory Demon Charioteer, what are you trying to do?"
"Kill you," the Purgatory Demon Charioteer replied blandly with just two words.
Suddenly, he raised his right hand, within a Baili radius, it seemed as if an invisible giant hand was slowly lifting.
It directly grasped the armored man's throat.
The armored man's expression turned grim; despite the hundred-mile distance between them, the opponent easily restrained him.
"Damn," the armored man struggled desperately.
His right hand continued to attack in front of him, but unfortunately, the invisible giant hand could not be touched or seen, and all kinds of attacks proved ineffective.
This peculiar form of attack was most unbearable.
Seeing the armored man powerless to resist, silhouettes leapt out from the Immortal Ship not far away.
These were a man and a woman clad in Immortal Robes, holding Longswords, yet their aura wasn't the strongest.
In fact, even within the Holy Court, they didn't hold high status, but were rather special.
Because they were Sword-Bearers.
The Holy Court fosters strong practitioners, adept at training Sword Slaves.
From a young age, Sword Slaves begin their forging.
They nurture the Divine Sword with their own bodies, ensuring that each drawing of the sword keeps it in optimal, sharp condition.
These two were raised as Sword Slaves from childhood.
Upon emerging, they respectfully stood to either side.
White robes fluttering, moon swirls liken to the blazing sun.
The steps in front of the Immortal Ship slowly unfolded, revealing a white-robed figure descending.
As he descended, the two swords held by the Sword Slaves seemed to respond.
Unending sword sounds filled the air, Sword Intent surged through the heavens.
"Immortal Master's Disciple, Zhang Huajin."
Seeing the descending man, the Purgatory Demon Charioteer said gravely.
Renowned Holy King within the Holy Court.
Over tens of thousands of years, the most illustrious Holy King in the Holy Court, known by all who follow the Court.
Upon the old generation of Holy Kings' retirement, he took up the new generation's flag.
Currently one of the higher echelons of the Holy Court.
"Didn't expect you to come too," said the Purgatory Demon Charioteer gravely to Zhang Huajin.
"Such a major issue, naturally I had to come," Zhang Huajin replied calmly.
"Where is the Demon Lord?"
"Don't know, even if I did, wouldn't tell you," the Purgatory Demon Charioteer snorted coldly.
"Mosha, why cause such turmoil, for so many years, the peace of your Demon Realm was granted by our Holy Court.
You ought to be grateful," Zhang Huajin said, "We should be on the same front.
Killing the Demon Lord, the Demon Realm will restore its former peace."
"You think I will still believe your words?" the Purgatory Demon Charioteer retorted.
"To the Demon Race, if the Demon Lord dies, you all would surely flatten the Demon Realm instantly."
"You never believed us before, you thought the Holy Court was unaware of the Witch Demon's catastrophe?" Zhang Huajin said calmly.
"Talking is futile, though I have achieved nothing, my loyalty to the Demon Race is steadfast.
Even in death, I will strive to make my final contribution to the Demon Race," the Purgatory Demon Charioteer said calmly.
He raised both hands, as if holding up the sky.
At this moment, both the earth and sky were replaced by a peculiar red hue.
"You once sought to transform the Demon Race into Witch Demons, you must have acquired some technique," Zhang Huajin saw this scene without panic, asking.
"Now that things have come to this, no harm in telling you.
The truth is, you've always misunderstood; Witch Demons weren't my creation, they were indeed a race that existed in history.
Yet long ago, with the passage of history, the Witch Demon clan was eradicated.
I once obtained an Ancestor Witch Demon's heart."
The Purgatory Demon Charioteer said with a somewhat crazed expression.
"I nurtured this heart for millions of years, now it's time for this Witch Demon to emerge."
Seemingly echoing his words, the earth began to shake, the Firmament's hue grew increasingly blood-red.
In Zhang Huajin's perception, the Purgatory Demon Charioteer's life force seemed to weaken further.
Knowing full well that the Purgatory Demon Charioteer was a Holy King.
"What exactly are you doing?" Zhang Huajin couldn't keep calm any longer.
"You'll soon find out," the Purgatory Demon Charioteer laughed sinisterly.
"Withdraw from this Demon Realm first," Zhang Huajin instructed the two Sword Slaves beside him.
The Sword Slaves relayed the message into the Immortal Ship.
The massive Immortal Ship instantly activated, two bursts of fire erupted from behind, charging directly out of the Demon Realm.
"Boom," an explosion suddenly sounded.
Zhang Huajin raised his head in surprise, seeing the Immortal Ship crashing directly into the void.
The void remained intact; the Immortal Ship had several sections annihilated.
His heart was shaken; he knew the Immortal Ship represented the Holy Court, normally tearing through the void at light speed was trivial.
Yet now it had shattered upon impact.
"This space is already confined; no one can leave," the Purgatory Demon Charioteer grinned.
His life force weakened further, even his silhouette grew faint, as if about to vanish.
"Mosha, you're insane," Zhang Huajin shouted.
"Truly, a madman; your Demon Race doesn't have a single normal person."
One must know, reaching the level of a Holy King, the effort and toil expended simply defy description.
Which is why life is greatly cherished.
The Life and Death Soul is hidden deeply.
Yet the Purgatory Demon Charioteer seemed to sacrifice his own life to summon something.
A Holy King's life is incredibly precious.
"Death is surely a form of release," the Purgatory Demon Charioteer slowly raised his head, tears trickling from his eyes.
The next moment, his silhouette completely dispersed.
Amid his death, something seemed to rise from the depths of the Demon Realm.
