I Only Wanted A Class In The Apocalypse
Chapter 1801: Checking the Caravan
CHAPTER 1801: CHECKING THE CARAVAN
"Is he back to that miraculous world he took us before?" The pirate king couldn’t help but ask, while others ignored the two and started to leave in groups as they arrived.
"If he has the ability to travel across huge distances, then it’s hard to tell," the lady nymph didn’t feel great after Hye dropped her tempting offer, "anyway, let’s return to check on the ongoing war. We also need to push forward and make sure our name won’t be forgotten."
"I doubt it is, but yes, let’s make more noise," the pirate king got his excitement back, turned to the screen and cracked his fingers, "I got lots of video shots that I didn’t post before, let’s select the good shots and use these..."
And like that the two started their work, the two who would later on be known as the Deadly Duo Serpents of the underworld!
"Keep sending these, and I’ll keep ignoring them," Hye didn’t move away from his territory, instead he found himself a planet that wasn’t inhabited yet, stopped his ship there before taking out a larger flagship which he decided to spend the day at.
When he settled, he was surprised to receive too many messages from Silverlinning. "I thought they took the bait, but indeed friends always know each other better," Hye paused before sighing, "and enemies know you way better than you know yourself..."
Hye didn’t give this much heed, as he knew it would only be Silverlinning suspecting him. "Unluckily for you, no one is going to buy that a human did it."
Hye wasn’t worried at all, he knew the mindset of the people and races he was dealing with, "And now it’s time to see what all that fuss was about!"
He took out the caravan at last. When he took it, he did it at a hanger, and as he expected, it was big enough to fill the entire hanger.
In front of Hye, a pure white oval shaped caravan appeared. It was a spaceship, designed to protect what was inside. "I’m sure this is just an outer shell," Hye muttered to himself, before taking out a big sword, "it’s not like I got the key to open the door, so let me improvise."
*Clang!*
Hye didn’t wait and instantly struck the huge white capsule. "As I expected, it’s just a shell protecting another shell... And who knows how many shells are there before I reach what’s really hidden inside..."
In front of Hye, the white capsule cracked open, showcasing a space inside before another white layer appeared. He didn’t hesitate and moved his sword to cut another cut into that inner shell, and luckily this was the last protective layer.
"Ok... What do we have here?" as he finally got to see what was inside the caravan, he was surprised by what was in there, "A rock?"
He didn’t like rocks recently after that mysterious rock he got from the auction a few months ago. "It can’t be just a normal rock," he muttered to himself, before cleaving away all the outer shell to reveal this rock.
"Its surface is smooth... And it feels a little cold..." he touched it and tried to feel anything yet failed. The rock was twenty metres in height, fifteen in width, looking more like a gigantic egg to him than a normal rock.
It was pitch black in colour, with a lustre. "I should try the old method, blood always works," he tried to see if using his blood would bind this rock to him, and yet he failed.
"Hmm, at least I won’t end up with a rock on my forehead again," Hye smiled, and yet he never moved his eyes off this rock, "and now we have a puzzle to solve... Knock knock, is there anything inside you, little black egg?"
He tried to knock on it, soak it with water, even to put it on fire, and nothing worked. And when he thought this rock was malfunctioned or useless, something very interesting happened.
"Are you sure?! You couldn’t pass through it?!!!" Hye got Lucas out of boredom. He didn’t know what he thought when he brought Lucas out, and yet something new happened.
For the first time, Lucas couldn’t pass through something! He didn’t see that coming and had to ask Lucas to do it again.
"It’s indeed true... You couldn’t pass through it, instead a force pushed you aside and let you slide over the rock..."
"I felt this force before, my mighty king," Lucas dropped another bomb over Hye’s ears.
"Where? Tell me everything you know!" Hye didn’t let such a great piece of news pass easily without interrogating Lucas. The latter just kept it simple, saying that this force was like the protective shield force that appeared around spaceships.
"This kind of spaceship?" Hye didn’t jump to conclusions, instead pointed to the flagship he was in and asked.
"Not this one, my mighty king, it was the other type of big ships, the ones with weird outer looking..."
"Come with me outside," Hye wanted to be sure about this, so he walked with Lucas outside, and then took out another flagship, "is it this one?"
"Yes, my mighty king, it’s the shield appearing around such ships," Lucas nodded in agreement, "these ships have shields that don’t stop us directly, instead pushing us to the side with the same type of force I felt from that rock."
"That’s pretty much amazing!" Hye moved his eyes between the new flagship he got out, Lucas, and the rock appearing from the opened hanger door, "pretty much amazing!! Thanks Lucas, you can go back for now," Hye waved his hand and took Lucas away. Then he slowly walked towards that rock.
His mind started to process what he learnt from Lucas. He admitted he got lucky when he took out Lucas without expecting much from it. And now this was the key that would expose all secrets about this rock.
