“Master Xu, how about counting me in as well?” At that moment, Violet Mist stepped forward with a smile.

“You want to follow me too?” Xu Zimo raised an eyebrow.

“That’s right.”

“And your reason? Is it the same as hers?”

“Me? I’m just bored of living,” he said, still smiling. “There’s little left in this world that holds my interest. So I’ll follow you, to see more of this world’s brilliance before it all ends.”

“If you’re tired of life, why did you go through so much trouble to resurrect yourself in the first place?” Xu Zimo asked skeptically.

“At the time, I didn’t understand. I only wanted to live again.” Violet Mist Saint Sovereign smiled faintly. “Then I met you and thought, if death is inevitable, why not die for something weighty, something that matters? Besides, after offending the Heavenly Court, I’m sure in their eyes, I’m already one of your accomplices.”

“I think that last part is the real truth,” Xu Zimo said with a chuckle.

Indeed, all of them had completely offended the Heavenly Court. Even if Violet Mist didn’t side with Xu Zimo, he would still be hunted. Since that was inevitable, it made more sense to stay with him.

Violet Mist Saint Sovereign smiled again without denying it.

“Fine then,” Xu Zimo nodded. “Two followers for free, no reason to refuse. Let’s head for the Inferno Crucible Heaven.”

“I’ve heard spatial transmission to the Inferno Crucible Heaven isn’t like the others,” said Violet Mist Saint Sovereign. “Once we enter, we won’t all end up in the same place.”

After all, this was an inter-domain transmission. Unless they had an established spatial coordinate on the other side, like the Radiant Court did, they couldn’t guarantee a single arrival point. Xu Zimo and his companions could end up scattered anywhere, each in a different region.

“That’s fine,” Xu Zimo said calmly. “Wherever you land, just ask around about the Ancient Gods. We’ll likely meet again at one of their inheritance sites.”

“That’s true,” Violet Mist Saint Sovereign replied with a light laugh. “Knowing you, once you arrive in the Inferno Crucible Heaven, you’ll probably make a name for yourself soon enough. Finding you won’t be hard.”

Xu Zimo smiled.

The three of them arrived before the portal, a massive formation reinforced by immense spirit energy.

The Huo Heavenly Clan had been annihilated, and Xu Zimo now possessed all their reserves accumulated over a million years which he stored in the God World.

With a wave of his hand, millions of spirit crystals floated into the air, slotting themselves into the intricate formation.

Instantly, a deep rumbling echoed all around.

Endless spirit energy surged into the formation like a storm. The sound of crystals cracking filled the air as countless shards dissolved into pure energy, feeding the portal.

In less than ten minutes, the entire passageway roared to life.

Standing within the formation, the three were engulfed by a powerful suction force and vanished.

This was the largest-scale spatial transmission Xu Zimo had ever experienced.

The space around him warped endlessly. Nothing was visible, and his body felt as though it were being torn apart.

Such strain could only be endured by a Grand Emperor. Ordinary cultivators without special means would be ripped to pieces.

That tearing sensation lasted for over ten days. By the end, Xu Zimo was completely numb.

Finally, his body grew lighter, as if he’d pierced through a thin membrane, crossing from one world into another.

The air around him burned with scorching heat. Xu Zimo knew immediately.

He had arrived in the Inferno Crucible Heaven.

But even after entering the Inferno Crucible Heaven, the spatial transmission didn’t end.

The surrounding forces softened, proof that he had successfully broken through the great barrier between the two heavens.

Where this lingering current would take him next, Xu Zimo didn’t know.

He didn’t care either.

The Nine Heavens were not his home. He was rootless here, with only his mission to guide him. It didn’t matter where he ended up.

At last, after an unknown passage of time, Xu Zimo slowly opened his eyes.

Voices reached his ears.

“Who’s this guy? He just fell from the sky!”

“Maybe from another tribe? Never seen that face before.”

“Didn’t the Chaos Fire God Realm issue a warning recently? Water Beasts have been raging, better stay alert.”

“Hey, you think he might be one of those Water Beasts in disguise? Trying to infiltrate our Fire Bane City?”

While they whispered, someone suddenly stiffened, their face paling.

“The Second Miss of the Fire Crow Manor is here! Run!”

Before the echo faded, everyone surrounding Xu Zimo vanished in a blink. Their speed was astonishing.

Only then did Xu Zimo open his eyes fully.

He felt weak, not from injury, but from the toll of crossing the realms. His body was still adjusting to the pressure and heat of this new world.

The Inferno Crucible Heaven truly lived up to its name, a world of flame and heat.

Xu Zimo began converting his internal energy into the Primal Dao of fire, using it to repair and stabilize his body. Bit by bit, he adapted to the fiery aura.

When he looked up, a young face appeared before his eyes.

It belonged to a girl, barely in her teens. She wore a black crow-patterned robe and looked at him with an air of practiced arrogance.

She circled him twice before declaring, “This one will do. Take him back to the manor.”

Xu Zimo felt several people lift him onto a stretcher and carry him away.

After some time, as his strength began to return, he managed to ask, “Who are you people? Where are you taking me?”

The little girl straightened proudly. “I’m the Second Miss of the Black Crow Dao Court. From today onward, you’re my husband. I’m taking you back to marry me.”

Xu Zimo blinked. “You haven’t even grown all your feathers yet, and you’re talking about marriage?” he said dryly. “With that face, you’re barely qualified to be my maid.”

The girl froze for a moment, her expression shifting rapidly.

Her chest heaved as anger flashed in her eyes.

“What’s wrong? Did I hit a nerve?” Xu Zimo teased.

To his surprise, the girl suddenly broke into a bright smile.

“I know you’re trying to provoke me, but it won’t work. The more you resist, the more determined I am to marry you,” she said cheerfully.

Xu Zimo sighed helplessly.

‘What a pain in the ass...’

He could barely move, being able to speak was already pushing his limits.

For now, he could only let her have her way.

The stretcher carried him through the streets. Xu Zimo noticed something odd, everywhere they passed, people scattered instantly.

The moment they saw the girl’s group, they bolted like they were avoiding a plague.

Finally, they arrived at a grand estate.

An enormous plaque above the gate read Black Crow Dao Court, with a carved image of a crow beside it.

Inside, Xu Zimo was placed in a courtyard while everyone else withdrew, everyone except the overbearing young girl.

She stood before him, grinning smugly.

“Are you afraid?” she asked sweetly.
