Chapter 32: Ferocious Combat Skills

After spinning a full 720 degrees in mid-air, Mu Yang delivered a fierce kick straight to the Nakel-seijin’s body, sending him crashing down to the ground.

At this moment, Mu Yang finally understood why Taro always liked to open with a dramatic Swallow-Style Flying Kick every time he appeared. Although Mu Yang’s execution of the kick was still slightly inferior to Taro’s, he had incorporated some elements of Jack’s Meteor Kick into it.

Mu Yang’s hand-to-hand combat ability was nothing short of formidable. He had been trained by Seven, Ace, Taro, Jack, and Zoffy. Apart from the original Ultraman, who was absent from the Land of Light at the time and whom he had not met, Mu Yang could be said to have mastered the fighting techniques of the Ultra Brothers. With his continuously improving physical attributes, his overall combat prowess had even surpassed Taro’s. Other than the Father of Ultra, there was likely no one in the Land of Light who could match him in close-quarters combat.

Well, perhaps in terms of overall ability, Zoffy might still be the strongest among the Ultra Brothers. But in combat technique alone, Taro was undoubtedly number one—his physical fitness was also the best. Even the current Mu Yang was unable to fully perform the Swallow-Style Kick—not because he lacked the technique, but because his jump height and core strength were not quite there yet.

No wonder he was dubbed the “Little Prince of Gymnastics”!

Nonetheless, Mu Yang firmly believed that the title of Combat King would one day be his! As for Leo… well, they could talk about him once Mu Yang stopped specialising in melee fighting.

After sending the Nakel-seijin flying with a kick, Mu Yang felt a rush of excitement surge through his chest—his blood was boiling. The BGM that accompanied him now was none other than the one associated with Qiao Feng’s entrance in his previous life. In this moment, Mu Yang felt like he was carrying a boombox into battle. It was an incredible feeling. He was ready to take on a horde of enemies!

“That’s the Ultraman who uses a sword!” someone soon recognised Mu Yang’s identity and breathed a sigh of relief. Even if he wasn’t Jack, he was still an Ultraman—wasn’t he?

“This Ultraman named ‘Boss’… it seems he’s been on Earth all along! Is he appearing now because something has happened to Go? Could it be that young man?” Katō Shōichirō narrowed his eyes.

He naturally knew about Hideki Go’s identity. He was the one who had recruited Go into the MAT team in the first place. Back then, Go had been on the brink of death, but then he suddenly came back to life, full of vitality. It was far too strange. Coupled with the recent appearances of Jack, as well as previous incidents involving the original Ultraman and Seven, it wasn’t hard to piece things together.

Katō Shōichirō was originally meant to be transferred to the MAT Space Station recently, but due to Jack’s previous public statement, he had been kept back.

In fact, to certain people in the know, Hideki Go’s identity was no longer a secret.

But Mu Yang’s appearance had been so outrageously dramatic that even the humans present didn’t know what to say. He entered the scene with his own BGM?

The Nakel-seijin was thoroughly dazed from Mu Yang’s kick. But then again, anyone who dared to challenge the Ultra Brothers wasn’t ordinary. He recovered quickly, and at the same time, Black King let out a roar and charged toward Mu Yang.

However, Mu Yang’s figure flickered and instantly reappeared in front of the Nakel-seijin. He landed several rapid punches, then swiftly grabbed one of the alien’s arms and flung him straight towards Black King.

Black King hurriedly caught the Nakel-seijin—after all, that was his master. But due to this, his own movements were momentarily disrupted.

Mu Yang seized the opening and landed another powerful kick on the Nakel-seijin, sending both him and the Black King staggering backwards several steps.

“This Ultraman’s fighting ability is amazing!” Even Katō Shōichirō, who was used to seeing Jack take on two opponents at once, couldn’t help but gasp. From start to finish, Mu Yang never directly engaged Black King. Instead, he skillfully kept his distance from the monster while concentrating his attacks on the Nakel-seijin—picking the softer target, as the saying goes.

Moreover, Mu Yang’s style of hitting with heavy, tangible blows resembled the previous Ultramen yet also felt different.

As a bystander, Katō couldn’t explain why, but he felt that in terms of hand-to-hand combat, Mu Yang was more powerful than any Ultraman who had appeared so far.

The Nakel-seijin had never encountered such a brutal opponent. Was this guy really an Ultraman? What Ultraman fought like such a reckless brute?

He still believed that if he and Black King worked together, they could defeat this damned Ultraman. But all he had done so far was take hit after hit!

He commanded Black King to stand in front of him for protection—he needed a moment to catch his breath and maybe set a trap. But how could Mu Yang possibly give him such a chance?

Mu Yang leapt into the air once more—this time executing Ace’s signature flying kick. With a mid-air spin, he reappeared in front of the Nakel-seijin and delivered another kick.

Before Black King could react, golden lightning burst from Mu Yang’s body and struck the Nakel-seijin, detonating with tremendous force on impact and bringing him crashing down for good.

The poor Nakel-seijin had schemed endlessly. But in the end, he failed to trap Jack, and not even his carefully prepared Black King had managed to contribute meaningfully. Instead, he was taken out by Mu Yang, a completely unpredictable wildcard.
