"By the way, are you both interested in becoming full-time employees at the Khapar Law Firm Office?"

At once, both Priyanshi and Navya turned their heads at him, their eyes showing surprise and curiosity, because for them, securing an internship at the Khapar Law Firm Office was already a rare opportunity, let alone becoming regular employees there.

Shiv gave a confident smile and leaned forward slightly, his tone filled with pride.

"Actually, I won’t hide it anymore.

My mother works at Khapar Law Firm. She’s a senior lawyer there, in charge of Human Resource Department, and she also serves as a supervisor there."

He gave a short laugh and added:

"It just so happens that she oversees the evaluation process for interns."

The superiority written across Shiv’s face was so obvious that it seemed to spill over the entire car.

Priyanshi’s eyes widened, and she let out a surprised gasp.

"Wow! So, during our assessments, it turns out the one making decisions is actually your mother?"

Shiv’s grin widened as he leaned back smugly.

"That’s right. In this world, good looks don’t matter much. If you want to succeed, you need a solid family background and real influence.

Without those, you’re nothing more than an empty showpiece who survives only on appearances."

It was intentional jab to Alex, driven by his handsomeness Shiv found himself somewhere inferior to him.

And after finishing his words, he felt an overwhelming sense of triumph, convinced that he had finally established dominance and made himself look unbeatable in front of Priyanshi.

For a long time, Shiv had only shown Priyanshi the side of him that was patient and persistent, never willing to cross lines or reveal too much of his personal background.

He had always prided himself on staying low-key, calling it his principle of life.

But now, the sight of Priyanshi smiling at another man, paired with the sarcasm that he thought he could detect in the security guard’s faint grin, pushed him over the edge.

From the front seat, Alex raised an eyebrow slightly and spoke in his calm voice.

"Khapar Law Firm? That company has its reputation, yes."

His tone was light, almost dismissive, but it carried a strange weight that Shiv couldn’t quite understand.

Navya, however, seemed thoroughly impressed by it.

"So amazing! Shiv, your family has such a great background.

I’ve heard that lawyers at Khapar Law Firm earn no less than half a million a year, and as for supervisors, their annual salary is easily over a million. That’s truly remarkable."

Shiv waved his hand dismissively, though his smile betrayed how much he enjoyed the praise.

"It’s nothing special. Honestly, I just learned about it recently myself," he said, feigning modesty.

"But since Priyanshi is interning at Khapar Law Firm Office, I came along today to see if I could mention her name to my mother.

Maybe she could help Priyanshi get approved faster and secure a permanent position earlier, what do you guys think?"

Hearing this, Priyanshi’s lips curved slightly, but her expression remained calm.

"Thank you, Shiv, but I won’t take shortcuts. I believe I can succeed on my own merit."

Alex who was watching silently from the driver’s seat, nearly laughed at Shiv who was trying his best to woo at Priyanshi but failing repeatedly.

Though Inwardly, he was also admiring her.

She wasn’t the type to rely on others, nor would she compromise her principles for comfort or convenience.

Unlike so many others who would grab at any opportunity regardless of dignity, Priyanshi stood firm, and that in itself made her stand out as a rare kind of person in the crowd.

"Becoming a regular employee based on your own strength?"

Shiv sneered.

"I’m not trying to discourage you Priyanshi, but my mother told me a few days ago that this year’s applicants at Khapar Law Firm are incredibly talented there are graduates from top universities who are both skilled and competitive.

Even in this situation I have a backdoor option ready for you, but you refuse. Isn’t that just being unreasonable?"

Priyanshi frowned, but before he could respond, Navya spoke first.

"If you manage to help the two of us become regular employees, I’ll treat you to a meal. Consider it as my thanks."

Shiv originally hoped to use this chance to get closer to Priyanshi, perhaps even become more than just friends.

But seeing her expression now, he knew it wasn’t going as planned.

Still, he adjusted quickly.

This could work too. At least Priyanshi will see that I’m capable and come from a strong family. Step by step, she’ll realize it’s better to stay close to me than a security guard guy.

After all, even if she becomes a regular employee, she’ll still end up under my mother’s authority.

If she doesn’t value this opportunity and rejects every time, then I’ll simply let her pack up and leave.

Shiv couldn’t stop smirking inwardly, satisfied with his little scheme.

From the side, Alex observed everything in silence.

Seeing her nervous, Alex whispered in a steady voice, "Stick to being yourself. You will definitely earn that position, I believe in you."

Priyanshi glanced at him, surprised. For some reason call it instinct he felt Alex was different.

Even though the man worked as a security guard, he didn’t seem ordinary at all.

Yet those words gave her a sudden strength that she desperately required.

"I will do my best."

"And if I really become a regular employee, I’ll treat you to a meal," she added earnestly.

"Haha, good," Alex replied with a smile, "Then I will be waiting for your invitation."
