I Sell Bottled Water for Gold in Another World!
Chapter 94 94: Rajan
As the crowd was gloating at the woman's misfortune, but at this moment, a bald middle-aged man spotted Alex from far away and after recognition dawn on him he immediately rushed forward to greet him warmly.
"Mr. Alex, what a surprise! What are you doing here?"
The man extended his hand with a respectful cum almost flattering smile.
He was the manager of one of the gold shop that is under Vikram's control.
In the past dealings with Alex, he had followed Mr. Vikram several times when handling large amounts of gold with him.
Because of this, he knew very well how powerful the man in front of him was.
Even Mr. Vikram, his own boss, had to call him with respect!
He had never imagined that he would actually run into this figure here.
To him, it all felt like fate.
After all, from what he knew, Alex already seem to control more than a dozen companies under him some of the ten are listed, others are local market leaders all with impressive backgrounds in their field.
"Who are you?" Alex asked, his eyes narrowing slightly in suspicion he didn't seem to recall him.
"I'm Rajan, don't you remember Sir?" the bald man replied quickly. "I often accompanied Mr. Vikram sir when you came to sell your goods.
I was the one who is handling contracts and documents."
Rajan's face carried a broad eager smile.
"I think I do recall someone like you," Alex finally nodded.
Indeed, he vaguely remembered a balding figure trailing behind Vikram during those meetings.
"Um?"
"Why are there so many people here?"
"Honey? Why are you here?!"
At this moment, Rajan finally noticed the middle-aged woman standing nearby but seeing her instead of becoming happy he become worried.
"Husband!"
"You know this man?!"
"Let me tell you, he's completely unreasonable! Our son only scratched his car a little, and he is demanding us a total of 85 thousand dollars in compensation!"
She crossed her arms of her chest her tone was full of indignation.
"He deliberately parks such an expensive car by the roadside just to trap people into paying for damages.
It's nothing but a scam Husband!"
"This guy has no conscience at all. You shouldn't get involved in any dealings with him!"
The woman lacking in both tact and beauty, continued to spoke as if she was in the right simply because of her own financial situation.
"How dare he flaunt such a luxury car in public and expect others to pay if something happens to his car?
Our son barely scratched it why should we have to cover it? He deserves it! Who told him to park such an expensive car on the street?"
Her twisted reasoning made several bystanders frown.
"What kind of logic is that? Public parking is open to everyone—what does it matter what kind of car it is?"
"Exactly. It's his freedom to drive a Bentley. Just because you can't afford one doesn't mean you get the right to decide where he parks his car."
"First she looked down on him when she thought he was just a security guard. Now she's clearly jealous because he owns a luxury car? How hypocritical."
"Ugh, so shameless…"
The passersby who had stopped to watch the commotion were already murmuring among themselves, their expressions full of disdain, and it was clear that every word and action from the middle-aged woman only made her look more shameless in their eyes.
Rajan's face suddenly twisted in rage as he roared, "You mean our baby was the one who scratched Mr. Alex car?" He glared fiercely at his wife, his voice carrying the kind of fury that made people take a step back.
His wife had always been trouble for him, and now, because of her temper and ignorance, she had caused a scene big enough to draw a crowd.
The moment he pieced it all together, he knew without a doubt that she was at the center of it.
The middle-aged woman got taken aback by his husband anger and the attention of the crowd, faltered for a moment before blurting out defensively, "This has nothing to do with us, it's not our son's fault either!
He's the one who parked such an expensive car casually on the street—what else did he expect to happen?"
Her excuse left Alex completely speechless, and even the bystanders shook their heads in disbelief.
The woman refused to admit her mistake no matter how obvious it was, twisting the situation as if she were the victim.
Rajan's finally snapped at her wife, shouting, "What nonsense are you spouting!
Mr. Alex has every right to drive whatever car he wants, wherever he wants, and who are you to criticize or dictate anything here?" His fury boiled over as he raised his hand and struck her hard across the face.
The smack echoed, and the crowd gasped as the woman stumbled back covering her cheek in shock. "Ah! Husband, why would you hit me?" she stammered, her eyes became wide with disbelief.
Rajan seem to breath heavily, pointed at her with trembling hands and spat out his words one after another. "You don't even realize who you've just offended!
Do you have any idea what kind of man Mr. Alex is? Even Mr. Vikram, My Boss has to show him nothing but respect!
Do you understand that the only reason I've been doing well recently is because I had the honor of serving Mr. Alex as a guest?
And now you stupid, reckless, blind woman you've dragged me into this mess!"
His anger grew the more he spoke, until his voice was hoarse from speaking too loudly.
"I must have been cursed to ever marry someone as short-sighted and brainless as you.
Being stupid is one thing, but the way you spoil our son is worse.
He scratches someone's car, and instead of correcting him, you encourage him, you shield him, you even try to justify his mistake!
What kind of mother behaves like that?"
Rajan's chest rose and fell as he shouted the words, cursing bitterly, knowing it fully in his gut that if Mr. Alex chose to pursue this incident, his own position and everything he had worked so hard for could be destroyed in an instant.
