CHAPTER 148: THE ALPHA PARTY & ALBERTO

Adam did not understand what was happening. He thought that Albero would know where Anastasia was. Or that he would be responsible in some way for Anastasia’s disappearance.

That was the only logical explanation. But Adam was completely wrong. Now Adam did not understand. And every moment he was worried about what he would say to Sophia when he met her.

How could he tell her that he had failed to find her sister. Adam was thinking this. Then Albero who was lying on the ground next to Laila and was picking Laila up looked at Adam.

He said in a fearful voice "I think you should go to Anastasia’s friend." Hearing this a ray of hope awoke in Adam. He immediately came to Albero. Then Albero also moved back a little.

He said in fear "Her house is a short distance from here." Albero told Adam the full address.

He gave him the street and the house number. Adam did not wait there at all. He started to run from there.

Adam used his full speed. And he was running from there with the speed of the wind. The houses and streets blurred past him. There was no match for Adam when he was running.

Adam was passing by a park. But then he thought that he should go through this park instead of next to it. So that he could use a shortcut. It would save him a few precious minutes.

Thinking this Adam turned towards that park. Adam’s speed was very high. So he had a lot of trouble turning. And Adam immediately slipped and fell inside the gate of the park.

He skidded on the gravel path. Adam was so fast that he went a little further while falling. Where there was a swing for small children. Then Adam heard a voice from in front of him.

A familiar voice. "Adam Adam." Hearing that someone was calling him he looked towards that voice.

He was very surprised when he saw Anastasia sitting in a small house in the park made for small children in front of him. It was a brightly colored plastic playhouse.

Hearing this and seeing her Adam was very surprised. He got up from the ground where he was lying worried. He said "Anastasia you are here." Hearing this Anastasia was very surprised.

She came out of that small house. Anastasia was very surprised that Adam had come here to look for her. She came to Adam. To help him stand up.

Adam also stood up with her support. And then holding both of Anastasia’s shoulders he said with great concern "Are you okay? Where were you until now? And where have you been since morning?" Seeing that Adam was worried about her she was very surprised.

But then she realized that her sister must have sent him. That was the only way he would know. Then she started to look to the side.

Adam understood that Anastasia would not tell him so easily. She was proud and stubborn. Then Anastasia removed Adam’s hand from her shoulder. She started to go back. She said "It’s nothing special. I just wanted to spend some time alone. So I came here. It’s not a big deal." But Adam did not believe Anastasia’s words at all.

He moved forward. He stood in front of Anastasia blocking her path. Anastasia was very surprised to see Adam’s behavior. Then Adam said "I know what is happening to you. I know everything about you." Hearing this Anastasia was very surprised.

Then the words came out of her mouth "You know?" Adam nodded his head. Seeing that Adam knew about her problem and what she was going through Anastasia started to look at the ground. Her shoulders slumped.

Then Adam said "If you are having some problem you can tell Sophia." But before Adam could finish his sentence Anastasia moved forward.

She made a fist and punched Adam in the stomach. It was a surprisingly strong punch for a girl her size. But Adam was not affected at all by Anastasia’s attack.

He felt as if a light feather had touched his stomach. Anastasia held her hand. She shouted "What are you made of? My whole hand is hurting." Seeing Anastasia’s reaction Adam smiled a little.

But then his smile also disappeared when he looked into Anastasia’s eyes. He thought that Anastasia’s mood had lightened up. That she had released some of her anger. But he was wrong.

Then Anastasia looked at Adam seriously. Her eyes were filled with a mixture of anger and betrayal. She shouted and said "When you knew how much trouble I was going through why didn’t you come to help me?" Hearing this Adam was quiet for a few seconds.

He didn’t have an answer for that. Then he moved forward a little. He held Anastasia’s shoulders and said "As soon as I found out I immediately came to help you." Hearing this Anastasia realized that Adam must have just found out what was happening to her. Sophia must have just told him.

Then Anastasia tried to move back. But Adam did not leave her shoulders. His grip was gentle but firm.

Then Anastasia looked at the ground and said "I don’t want to talk about anything. You go from here. You can’t help me in any way."

Then Adam said "Don’t worry. I have solved your problem. Now that bastard teacher will never bother you in your life." Hearing this a spark came in Anastasia’s eyes. She looked up at Adam. Then Adam smiled and said "I have taught him such a lesson that he will not bother you in this life let alone the next." Hearing this Anastasia was a little surprised.

Then she realized the time. The sun was starting to set. And she realized that Adam was running and coming to this park. He must have been searching for a long time.

Then Anastasia looked at Adam and said "Were you looking for me all over the city?" At this time there was a smile on Anastasia’s face. Which was a sign that Anastasia was slowly recovering. The ice around her heart was beginning to melt.

Adam smiled. He said "You can understand something like that. I know how it feels. When you are alone and there is no one around you to help you." Adam said this after a pause.

Taking his time.

Then Adam looked at Anastasia and said "I know because I have been through these moments. But I want to tell you one thing. You have a very big luxury. You can’t understand this now. If I had someone like that I would keep them above everyone in the world."

Adam was saying this. But Adam also did this. Because from the beginning until now he had saved Sophia from every attack.

No matter how many times he had to die. But Anastasia did not know this. That is why he was telling her how important it was in anyone’s life to depend on someone else. To have someone to lean on.

Then Anastasia looked at Adam and said "It’s not like what you think. I know what your situation is. Although I don’t know everything.

But as much as Sophia has told me I know that you live alone. And you do most of the things alone. To be honest my elder sister is afraid of you." Adam who was listening to Anastasia’s words was not much affected.

Because he knew. Then Anastasia said "But I am not afraid of you. And where you think that someone should be in your life it’s the opposite for you. Because if someone is in your life then you don’t have to be dependent. But you also have to worry about them. You can’t understand this." Anastasia said this in anger.

And she freed her hand from Adam’s and started to go to the side.

While going forward Anastasia realized that she had probably said too much to Adam. She had been too harsh. Then she turned back. To apologize to Adam.

But she saw that Adam was standing right behind her. Which he was not before. He had moved without her noticing.

Then Adam said "Maybe you are right. And maybe what you are saying is the truth. But if there was someone like that in my life I would be ready to take this risk. I would want to be dependent on them while worrying about them every moment. Not suffering alone where there is no one with me." Hearing this Anastasia’s eyes widened.

She realized that what Adam was saying was absolutely right. And she also realized how lonely Adam was. He was surrounded by danger but he was completely alone.

Then Anastasia opened her mouth. To say something. But nothing came out of her mouth. Because she had no words to say back to Adam. She didn’t know how to comfort him.

Then Adam held her hand. And with her he went inside that small house. Which was for small children to play in. Adam saw that Anastasia was still in her school dress.

And her bag was kept on the side. Anastasia did not say anything. And with him she sat inside that small room. The small children’s playhouse.

Then Adam said "Actually this is a very good place. No matter who looks for you in the world no one can find you here. I was also lucky to find you here." He was trying to lighten the mood. To bring her back from the darkness that had consumed her.
