I was Kidnapped for Revenge by a Ruthless Alpha
Chapter 111: Put Her in Her Place
CHAPTER 111: PUT HER IN HER PLACE
~ODETTE’S POV~
This bitch again. You’ve got to be kidding me. She recognized me immediately and her nostrils flared with anger.
She looked about as happy to me as I was to see her.
I wanted to smack that prissy, privileged look right off her face.
Gouge her eyes out for looking at Ambrose like that.
And to top it all off, right off rips she was offering me to this dog at the table like I was scraps off her own plate.
I was trying hard to hold my tongue. I was biting down so hard, my jaw started to ache. The words were burning in my throat, threatening to rage out and burn her alive. Each question and answer pushing me closer and closer to the edge of control.
And when the little mutt asked if I was single and answered yes, I lost it. I snapped. I had a fiancé and now a fated mate. I was the opposite of single.
She crossed the line. And now she’ll find out how I really feel.
Let her come at me, I eat little girls like her for breakfast. Give me the chance to put her in her place.
"First of all, don’t offer me up like table scraps to a dog I’ve never met. Second, if you don’t shut the fuck up, I’m going to shove a fist full of food so far down your throat, even a bitch like you will choke on it." I snarled ready to launch myself across the table and rip her head clean off her shoulders.
"Who the hell are you to speak to me like that, you cheap whore. DO you know who I am? I’m a Lady and the daughter of a high ranking council member!" She yelled to me like it mattered or carried any weight.
It was sad, really.
So what? I’m a fucking princess. A Lady my ass, she was no lady, she was a female dog, a bitch.
"Still a bitch though." I growled low, testing her. Tempting her. Daring her.
"You!" She shouted standing out of her chair and pointing at me.
"Yes?" I leaned back in mine crossing my arms.
"Such fire. Such spirit! I like it." Alpha Andres grinned interrupting the ’cat fight’ that was about to happen.
"Watch yourself Alpha Andres." Ambrose warned him directly. He released some of his Alpha aura, bring the weight down in the room.
"What? I’m just appreciating the wildfire you brought into our midst. Nothing wrong with that." Alpha Andres was certainly intrigued by me.
I scoffed and rolled my eyes.
"Speak with the respect warranted to a guest of your Alpha King." Ambrose warned, I could see his patience wearing thin.
"My apologies, Alpha King Ambrose, I’m just completely smitten with her." He was watching me with such fierce intensity Ambrose looked like he’d reach over the table and rip his eyes out.
"You’re not even on my radar." I snorted. Not realizing at first, I said it out loud.
"Ouch, fairest maiden, that hurt." Alpha Andres acted wounded.
The word maiden made my skin crawl. The word was tainted by my mother’s fate. The word mocked her, it mocked me. If not for my mother and father eliminating the law, being a Maiden would have been my fate too.
"How weak, if words can wound you so gravely, I can’t even begin to imagine what a fight would do to you." I smirked at him. If I learned anything being here among wolf shifters, its that it’s easy to push their buttons. They were predictable with their responses, especially when it came to having their strength and position challenged.
"What did you say? Say it a little louder so the rest of the room can hear." He grinned but tone and posture said something different. He acted like I would be threatened by that.
"I’ll do you one better." I said rising from my seat at the table and strutted over to him. Moving with the grace of a queen and the strength and confidence of a warrior. Letting my power radiate off me.
Ambrose released his alpha aura earlier. Let me release mine.
All eyes were on me as I strolled over to Alpha Andres.
I leaned over his chair getting close to his face.
And smiled softly.
"If words can wound you so easy, with me, you’d be dead before the sun rose." And then I shoved his chair back.
He tumbled and rose in an instant. Eyes blazing, his wolf hovering just below the surface. Just as he was about to launch himself at me his twin brother Alpha Anderson stepped in between us.
"That’s enough trouble Andres, let’s thank our host and turn in for the night." The tone Anderson’s voice had left no room for argument. His eyes flashed the same color at his brother.
Their wolves were battling for dominance. And I could see the unease in Beta Damon’s face.
He was nervous.
"I apologize for my brother’s bad manners, my king, he was dropped on his head as a baby by our mother, forgive his stupidity." Alpha Anderson grabbed him by the back of the neck and forced his brother to bow low with him."
"Get him out of my sight." Ambrose growled. His anger pouring out of him. His control barely holding on.
My eyes connected with Ambrose, and I could feel his rage simmering, like it was my own.
His glare bore into me with the weight of a mountain.
The old man that looked to be Isabellas father stared at me with suspicion.
He knew I was more than what I pretended to be and what Ambrose said I was.
I could see it in his eyes.
"You have no manners, I can’t believe you let such a wild animal sit at the table with us." Bitcherilla mocked me sarcastically.
"Better to be a wild animal, than a wolf that acts like a domesticated dog."
