I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess
Chapter 381: True Potential of Brexten’s Party?
CHAPTER 381: TRUE POTENTIAL OF BREXTEN’S PARTY?
With a clap, Lillian garnered their attention. She looked at the two of them with brief glances, and once she had concluded she had received their attention, she declared:
"Alright, alright, you guys are being too loud." Lillian shook her head, "Let’s stop with the bickering and move onto more urgent matters—..."
As Lillian said that, she felt the ground tremble—the uprooted debris hopping at the waves of vibrations.
Everyone had sensed it as well.
Brexten took a step back towards his group, who swiftly hid behind him with their hands clutching their staves.
Brexten’s eyes darted around. Using his experience as a warrior, he had swiftly come to the conclusion that...
"There’s too many people here!"
Lillian’s gaze softened on the man’s panicked expression. "Oh? So you did realise it, well done~..." She then pointed at him and his group, "Because of you and those twins behind you, we are now on the Alpha’s radar. And since we are currently located in the nursery for its spawn, I guarantee it won’t take long for the moles to get here."
Lillian then paused and smirked mockingly. She raised her palms together and began clapping in a slow and sarcastic manner, "Good job... You guys should’ve been more careful instead of being arrogant turds..."
Brexten was left befuddled by Lillian’s blatant insult. He had barely even known her, and now he was being insulted so suddenly?
How could he stand for this mockery?
Brexten stomped towards Lillian’s direction, while gripping the handle of his sword with a threatening glint in his eyes.
He then said through gritting teeth, "How about you
apologise? It isn’t so nice to insult adults, don’t you know?"
Lillian snorted and flashed her hand out towards him.
In an instant, a pressurised stream of water shot out of her hand and crashed into Brexten, who was even more shocked by her sudden hostility.
This stream pushed him all the way back to the twins behind him, who were also pushed back along with him.
Drip... Drip... Drip...
After Lillian had blasted his group a couple of dozen metres back, Brexten sat up angrily—furious at his now-drenched body. His nostrils flared like a raging bull.
"Why you little—!"
"Apologise?" Lillian interrupted with a sneer, "Why should I apologise? You should be the one apologising to the person obviously superior to you. And also for bringing these monsters here."
After getting up and pulling the two girls beside him onto their feet, Brexten furrowed his brows at what she had said. He had thought about questioning the difference in their strength, but her last words stuck themselves inside his ears.
Monsters? Where?
Before he could angrily inquire about Lillian’s statement—
BOOM!
—The very centre of the nursery, in a diameter of about 10 metres, crumbled wide open, leaving a gaping hole in the ground.
Before the subtle dust cloud could even settle and disappear, moles began to climb out like a swarm of ants. There were dozens, hundreds, several hundreds.
Panicked flashed through Brexten’s and the twins’ minds, but as swiftly as they got back to their feet, they quickly transitioned into their battle-hardened minds.
They cut down the monsters, used magic belonging to the four main elements, and tore through the swarm of monsters. Although Brexten was an arrogant and self-obsessed leader, he knew when to put aside this attitude when his life was on the line.
With a wave of his sword and cutting down another mole, a translucent wave of pale red energy shot out from his body with a diameter of around 20 metres.
The dark black eyes of the moles that were semi-focused on the twins looked towards Brexten with a subtle flash of red in their eyes.
[Target Self] was a trait he had gained in his second Trial. Not only does it cause the enemies around him to solely target him for 3 minutes.
It was an effective trait for someone like him, for it would also decrease the strength of the enemy affected by his Trait by 50% and increase his by 1% for each entity affected.
And currently...
"KAHAHAHA!"
... Brexten was working with a 100% buff to his present strength.
And with the increase in strength, his body began to grow steadily—eventually reaching nearly double his original size. Fortunately, his armour grew along with him.
Although this Trait of his only worked on entities weaker than or equal to him, it still proved to be one of his most effective abilities in his arsenal.
After summoning a greatsword and shield more fit for his size, Brexten tore through the swarm with peak brutality as the twins behind him had switched to providing both offensive support and buffs.
This was the true power of their party, Brexistence, and one of the reasons why they were regarded as a highly effective team.
Lillian, who was dealing with a portion of her own, couldn’t help but momentarily cover her ears as she listened to the man’s bellowing laughter.
While Lillian respected his current strength, she didn’t quite like how loud he was being at this current moment.
Lillian gripped the shaft of her scythe and swung it around, unleashing waves of electricity.
BZZT! BZZT! BZZT!
As the wave of lightning crashed and washed over the moles, dealing ferocious burns and brief paralysis, the moles began to lose control of their bodies as their armour failed to do their work in protecting them.
After that, Lillian leapt forward and held her scythe over her head. She then swung it down heavily in a clumsy manner, still unfamiliar with using the scythe.
CLANG!
Upon striking the ground, the runes on the curved blade of the scythe lit up with a volatile glow as burning sparks magically appeared like flint striking a stone.
As the sound of her striking the ground rang out—
BOOM!
—A volcanic shockwave erupted from the point of impact, knocking not only the moles back, but also her.
[You have slain a Savage Wretch, Barrel Mole]
[You have slain a Savage Wretch, Barrel Mole]
[You have slain...]
The words of the Jester whispered inside her ears. But something else did as well...
Something...
Sinister....
