I Would Rather Be a Rogue [BL]
Chapter 221: Penchant for Exhibitionizm
CHAPTER 221: PENCHANT FOR EXHIBITIONIZM
Kade opened the door wearing nothing but boxer briefs.
For a moment, Felix thought that he was still drea... That is, having a nightmare.
A very dangerously seductive nightmare.
It was his first time seeing Kade undressed. He had previously seen him with partially open shirt, and drenched from the rain, so he already knew just how well sculpted his body was... But that still wasn’t enough to prepare him for the visual impact it would have once the clothes were fully removed. He blinked, then, in his confusion, he let his eyes slide down, taking in the view...
And his face immediately flushed, his knees turning weak.
Kade’s figure alone was enough to make anyone swoon, but the worst of it all was his crotch! With the tight boxer briefs, nothing could be hidden. Felix could tell just how big Kade was... And he wasn’t even hard yet!
It was a weapon of mass destruction, which would surely obliterate him if they ever got to it...
Wait, what? Why was he even thinking about that?
Felix shook his head, and tried to put an annoyed expression on his face, even though his mind was still fuzzy.
"What are you doing, opening the door half-naked?!" he scolded Kade harshly. Or at least he attempted to, but his voice came out much weaker than it was supposed to.
A satisfied grin flashed through Kade’s face, before getting replaced by a look of fake innocence. "I’ve heard you knocking on my door. You never do this, so I was worried that something might have happened, and rushed to open the door as soon as I could..."
Now that was a lie. Yes, Felix had never knocked on Kade’s door first, so it was understandable for the Alpha to be surprised, and Kade hadn’t ’rushed’ to the door. He took around a minute to respond. Which wasn’t much, yes, but it was still enough to quickly undress...
And the clothes lying on the bed behind Kade would suggest that it was indeed the case. They were just tossed casually, clearly having already been worn. On top of that, Felix was certain he had heard rustling that would match the sounds of undressing. And besides,
"What could have possibly happened to me in my bedroom?" he asked.
"You never know! The mansion might be safe, but you could have had a medical emergency! Or a nightmare, and be in a desperate need for a hug..."
Felix lifted his brows, giving Kade a glance full of incredulity. While the medical emergency was indeed a valid concern, as it could happen to anyone, the hug part was simply ridiculous. Not to mention, neither of them justified Kade opening the door in nothing but underwear. When he was almost certainly wearing clothes before!
He knew better than to try to argue, though, as Kade probably could come up with plenty of (unreasonable and unbelievable) excuses on the spot. The argument would drag on, and that was the last thing Felix wanted, when the Alpha stood right in front of him half-naked. He was already feeling too hot and muddle-headed, so it was best to just let it go, so that they could move on (and so that Kade would finally get dressed)!
"Well, it’s neither," he said with a sigh. "And it’s not that urgent, so please put something on first. Then we’ll talk."
"Oh. Alright," Kade nodded his head obediently. "But are you sure you don’t want a hug first..."
He stretched out his arms, but Felix ducked underneath them just in time, and passed Kade by, turning his back at the Alpha. "No, thanks," he just said, and plopped down on the sofa, trying not to look at Kade.
It’s not that it wasn’t tempted at all... But hugging Kade, especially when he was almost naked, was hardly a good idea! Although it was morning, they were both sober and no longer connected by the fated mate bond, Felix had a feeling that it wouldn’t end on just a hug...
Kade sighed with disappointment, but he didn’t insist. He just stepped into his walk-in closet... And returned wearing a bathrobe. Loosely tied, so that half of his torso was still exposed. And so were his muscular calves.
He had perfectly fine clothes waiting for him on the bed, but no, he just had to insist on exposing himself at least partially! What was up with this man and his penchant for exhibitionism?!
It made it so much more difficult for Felix to stay clear-headed, but he was nothing if not stubborn. He refused to admit that he found Kade so attractive that he was hot and bothered just from looking. Trying to play it cool, he cleared his throat, and said in the calmest tone he could muster, "I have a partial antidote for Jared."
"Oh, you do?" Kade wasn’t surprised. He had already noticed the jasmine fragrance in Felix’s room, and naturally had been able to recognize it, so he didn’t know any explanation as to where the potion suddenly came from. Of course, that didn’t necessarily mean that he didn’t have any concerns regarding the situation and the fox sneaking into the pack house without anyone noticing, but he didn’t question Felix, and asked instead, "What do you mean by ’partial’, though?"
"The potion will stop him from throwing up, but it won’t remove the curse," Felix briefly explained. "And he will likely still be in pain, so he might not be in the best condition to properly negotiate."
"Ah, that’s alright," Kade waved his hand dismissively with a pleased grin on his face. "We just need him to cooperate and agree with our conditions, so as long as he is conscious enough to hear us out and understand, it will be fine."
...So basically, what he was trying to say was that the Bloodmoon Pack’s negotiations didn’t require any actual negotiating.
Well, Felix was no longer surprised. "That’s great then," he said, placing the bottle with the potion on the table in front of him. "This is the potion. Just make him drink it, and it should last for up to four days."
"You want me to do it?"
"Otherwise?" Felix lifted his brows. Kade didn’t plan to ask him to do it, did he? Because Felix had absolutely no intention to do anything even remotely nice to Jared, ever. Even if said ’nice’ thing was providing a temporary antidote to the curse that had been put on the Alpha on his request, and that was kicking in solely because of his close proximity. And Jared didn’t even break the rules himself, he was just unknowingly forced into this situation!
Not that it changed anything. Regardless of the circumstances, Felix didn’t feel even a shred of pity for the Alpha.
Luckily, Kade was just asking. He would also prefer Felix not to be the one to give Jared the antidote. Even though he knew that the Omega didn’t have any positive feelings toward the man, Jared was still Felix’s fated mate. And they had ended in bed together at one point, resulting in a pup, even if Felix probably wasn’t a willing participant... Unless Felix for some reason absolutely insisted to be the one to hand the antidote (as a power play, perhaps? Or if he needed to watch the patient. He was the witch’s assistant, after all, so he had more knowledge about potions than anyone else in the pack), Kade wasn’t going to put him on to it.
And besides, it was beneficial for him to do it himself. This way, as someone who temporarily relieved Jared of his curse, he would have an extra leverage over the man on top of his more prestigious status. It would feel quite satisfying, to have his future cute little mate’s (hopefully soon to be former) fated mate owe him.
"Well, alright then," he said with a smile, standing up from the sofa. "Should we go have breakfast?"
"...Now?" Felix glanced at Kade, then at the potion bottle, and back at Kade, but the Alpha’s smile only widened.
"Yes, is there a problem?"
Felix thought for a moment, before shaking his head, "No, not really!"
All things considered, Jared’s curse wasn’t the Bloodmoon Pack’s fault, so they didn’t need to rush to rectify it. And personally, Felix most certainly didn’t mind making Jared suffer for a bit longer, as he waited for the antidote... It was just that,
"Dressed like that?" he asked, glancing suggestively at Kade’s attire. Yes, there was no rule that forbade him from going out like that... But did he really want to give everyone such a good show? The young Omegas were already thirsting so much over him, if he went out like that, the pack might suffer from a sudden outbreak of fainting spells and fever!
Kade glanced down at his clothes. "Ah, right, good point," he agreed...
And tugged on the belt, quickly undoing it, and letting the bathrobe fall on the floor, pooling around his feet. Once again, he stood in front of Felix in his (almost full) glory.
...Felix was rendered speechless. He heaved a sigh, and covered his eyes with his hand.
Meanwhile, Kade slowly walked over to the bed, picked up the clothes that had been tossed on top of it, and started to dress himself up. To say that he was doing it at a snail’s pace would be an insult to all the snails.
As to why he was suddenly so incapable of doing anything quickly, it was because he noticed that Felix’s fingers seemed to be slightly parted...
