Chapter 193: Adventure Group
"How do I get to Kara City?"
"Should I travel there myself, or does the Adventurers' Association have some special means to get me there quickly?"
Liens asked.
Although normal commissions usually required Adventurers to travel to the designated location themselves, this particular commission was special, and Lottie seemed to imply it was urgent.
Therefore, he thought that the Adventurers' Association probably wouldn't make him travel there "slowly."
"I apologize, the Association cannot directly transport you to Kara City, but we have already thought of a solution."
"Recently, a large Adventurer Group has publicly announced their intention to enter the Hartwin Kingdom, seemingly to gain a share from the war-torn Hartwin Kingdom."
"They are currently stationed in Korlot for a brief rest and resupply, and are expected to cross the border into the Hartwin Kingdom tomorrow."
"The Association can arrange for you to join their group and make use of their mode of transport."
"The Earth Dragon Beasts trained by that large Adventurer Group are incredibly powerful."
"Their stamina is exceptional; they can maintain a running state for extended periods. Using these Earth Dragon Beasts for travel, you should reach the vicinity of Kara City in about two to three days."
Lottie replied.
"Three days, that's quite fast."
Although with his speed, if he were to travel by himself, it might not even take three days, as he was, after all, an Extraordinary One, and a Wind Knight at that.
His stamina and speed were no less than those of a monster of the same level.
But the problem was, he didn't know the way.
Just thinking about the torment of the Monster Forest made it clear; if he had been able to distinguish directions and knew where to go, he wouldn't have been lost in the forest for nearly a month.
Moreover, having a vehicle was naturally more comfortable than running there himself.
So, Liens quickly agreed to the Adventurers' Association's arrangement and, led by Lottie, headed to the temporary location of that large Adventurer Group—the Divine Wind Adventurer Group.
"Hmm?"
As the two were about to step out of the Adventurers' Association, Liens sensed a somewhat unusual gaze fall upon him.
He turned his head, following the source of the gaze, and saw a figure clad in a black robe, completely concealing their body.
From the elemental reaction emanating from the other party, it was clear this was a Magician.
This attire reminded him of the Magician he had encountered at the Slave Exchange back then.
However, the person in front of him was not the one from before, as that Magician was not so short.
After a quick glance, seeing nothing worth noting, Liens withdrew his gaze and stepped forward again, following Lottie.
Watching his departing figure, 'Black Flame' mused inwardly, "This person looks a bit familiar. Have I met him somewhere?"
"Strange, a Great Knight who looks so young; if I had met him, I shouldn't have forgotten… Perhaps it's just a misconception."
"He must have accepted that Kara City commission… Kara City… Grandfather, your premonition was indeed correct; conflict has indeed occurred in that city."
"It's just that you probably didn't expect the parties involved in the conflict to be so unique, the intensity of the conflict to be so great, and the scope of the conflict to be even beyond your imagination."
"The Pello Family ultimately valued their status too much, which led to their demise."
'Black Flame' sighed inwardly.
…
Liens followed Lottie, and soon, the two of them arrived in front of an inn.
"Miss Lottie, may I ask if you are here to see our Divine Wind Adventurer Group for something?"
A member of the Divine Wind Adventurer Group, performing gate duty at the inn entrance, politely asked Lottie.
Their leader had instructed them to be extremely courteous when dealing with the Adventurers' Association's signboard girl in Korlot.
Although they weren't entirely clear on the reason, ordinary members like them naturally dared not defy orders from above.
Of course, he also saw Liens standing beside Lottie.
Although he was curious about who Liens was, such matters were not his concern.
"I would like to discuss something with Jay. Would it be possible to announce my arrival?"
Lottie politely stated her intention to see their leader to the Divine Wind Adventurer Group member.
"Naturally, I will go up and inform the Leader of your arrival immediately."
The Divine Wind Adventurer Group member immediately responded.
With that, he quickly walked into the inn.
Not long after, he returned, bringing with him Jay's instruction to invite Lottie and Liens for a detailed discussion.
Afterward, led by him, Liens and Lottie met Jay of the Divine Wind Adventurer Group.
"Hmm? A Knight in the Purification Stage, that's interesting."
"However, it's an Earth Element affinity, not a Wind Element affinity. I thought that since their Adventurer Group is called 'Divine Wind,' the Leader would be skilled in using Wind abilities."
Liens thought to himself after meeting Jay.
And upon seeing Liens, Jay, who had been seated, immediately stood up.
"And this esteemed individual is?"
Jay, nearly two meters tall and muscular, lowered his voice and, with as gentle a tone as possible, asked Lottie.
"This is Mr. Heier. The Association hopes to hitch a ride on the Divine Wind Adventurer Group's Earth Dragon Beast carriage to transport this gentleman to Kara City in the Hartwin Kingdom."
"The Association will pay you a sufficient amount of Adventurer Points as payment for the ride."
Lottie didn't waste time on unnecessary pleasantries and directly stated her purpose to Jay.
"Haha… Miss Lottie, you jest."
"It's merely a helping hand; there's no need for the Adventurers' Association to pay."
"Moreover, it is our Divine Wind Adventurer Group's honor to be able to assist Mr. Heier."
Jay laughed heartily. For character sheets and glossaries, visit *.
From Jay's demeanor, Liens knew that he likely mistook him for a Great Knight.
But he saw no need to explain to the other party.
Furthermore, to Jay, there might not be much difference between him and a Great Knight.
He would know after testing it in the Instance later.
"In that case, I entrust Mr. Heier to you."
"The Association still has many matters to attend to, so I won't disturb you here."
"Jay, until we meet again."
"Mr. Heier, take care."
Lottie responded with a smile.
With that, she exited the room, leaving only Jay and Liens alone.
Lottie's departure caused the atmosphere to become silent.
Liens was habitually silent, while Jay was unsure of Liens's personality and dared not speak carelessly.
After all, he couldn't withstand an attack from a Great Knight.
After a moment of silence…
Feeling that continuing like this might be neglecting Liens, Jay cautiously asked Liens:
"Mr. Heier, do you have any specific requirements for your living conditions?"
"Although this inn isn't the most excellent, some of the rooms are quite comfortable."
"Would you like me to arrange one for you, or do you have other accommodations?"
Looking at the cautious Leader of the Divine Wind Adventurer Group before him, a hint of amusement rose in Liens's heart.
He recalled that more than a month ago, when he mistakenly believed Atel was a Grand Magician, he had reacted in a similar manner.
