    The two sides approached each other slowly and in silence. He Zicheng and Qu Shen’s expressions changed with each passing second; from delight to desire to wariness. Before them was the object of their dreams and nightmares. She was the source of their power as well as their madness. She was the cause for He Zicheng and Qu Shen to kill Zhuge Kang and wipe out the snake faction.

    Jasmine watched the two people coldly. She had not seen them in almost two years and they looked much older and worn out than before. They used to be like men in their golden years; wise, strong, and vibrant. Now, their hair was turning gray and their eyes were sunken and dispirited like they had lost a lot of their vitality.

    These two people were responsible for so many twists and turns in her life. They were responsible for attacking her lair and destroying her mother’s plan. They were also responsible for killing her adopted father. Although Zhuge Kang was not blameless, he defended her in the end and died because of that. She had already forgiven him but these two, she would never forgive them.

    “He Zicheng, Qu Shen.” She said.

    Her voice was not loud but it was filled with gravity.

    The two men stiffened and stopped in midair, several hundred meters away.

    “Jasmine... haha...” He Zicheng said, “I never expected you could reach the Spirit King Realm so quickly.”

    There was a long silence before Jasmine replied, “Weren’t you the same? Qu Shen, weren’t you the same as well? My divine powers, you both should be very familiar with them already.”

    The two sides stared at each other again.

    “What do you want?” Qu Shen asked, “Do you think you can trap us here with your small tricks? Why don’t you tell your helpers to come out and stop with the pretenses.”

    By now, He Zicheng and Qu Shen both realized that something wasn’t right. There was no reason for Jasmine to show herself here unless she was prepared. Her blood had simply been the bait to keep them here.

    However, they were still somewhat confident. They were high in the sky with no obstructions in all directions. They could pick a direction to flee and it would take more than a handful of Spirit Kings to stop them. They also weren’t worried about losing their powers that were due to the effects of the Lunar Blessing. Because it came from a much more powerful source and not Jasmine herself.

    Jasmine snorted, “What do I want? I want your lives.”

    “Hahaha!” He Zicheng laughed loudly, “Jasmine, Jasmine... don’t you understand? If other humans found out about your existence, you won’t be able to keep your life either. Don’t need to mention those scheming bastards in the Eastern Sanmu Metropolis, there will probably be a few Spirit Emperors and Spirit Overlords from the Martial Brilliance Continent that would be very interested in a Nine Tailed Moonlight Fox.”

    Jasmine smiled an unfriendly smile, “Do you think you can escape here today?”

    At her words, two figures rapidly approached their gathering point with their immortal auras on full display. Huo Tu arrived from the east after taking a long detour, covered in fiery red spiritual flames. His eyes were blazing pearls while his mouth was akin to a pool of magma. Sundew came out of the west, surrounded by a green cloud. Her giant mantis figure was enough to instill fear in all beings below her realm.

    The sky turned chaotic as six Spirit Kings started an all-out battle. Spiritual energy surged wildly. Even several kilometers high, the pressure created by the various clashes caused shockwaves on the ground that knocked over trees and uprooted the forest below.

    In the center of this mayhem, He Zicheng and Qu Shen were defending for the moment. Each carried a protective shield at the Spirit Lord Realm. Combined with Spirit King auras, they were able to block the flames coming from two directions while dodging Jasmine’s dangerous attacks.

    They tried to move higher but Jasmine and her crew followed suit. When they tried to head for a gap between the horizontal formation, Jasmine simply shifted to block their way, frustrating their attempts to escape.

    “Damn, this will be a little tough. We won’t be able to break out of this without sacrificing a little.” He Zicheng said, “Brother Qu, are you prepared.”

    “Hmph, Brother He, don’t mention it. Together, we won’t be defeated.”

    The two brothers shared a laugh amid battle. Facing common enemies, they were sworn brothers again.

    He Zicheng pointed to Sundew, “We have to forcibly defeat one of them in the quickest time. The mantis is the weakest. I also sense that her spiritual energy is somewhat weak, no doubt from fighting Jasmine before submitting to her.”

    “I agree! Let me do it, just cover my back!” Qu Shen shouted.

    “Alright!”
