Southern Region.

Everyone was talking about the grand opening of the Thousand Wealth Chamber Bank and its Bank App on the Spirit Link.

Two days after the Thousand Wealth Chamber Bank opened in the Western Region, the southern region finally received its turn.

On Hi-Cloud, chatter about the bank's ease and convenience filled the air. Merchants sang the praises of the Bank App.

Now, they could receive payments without stress.

At last, the Thousand Wealth Chamber opened its bank in their region, and every inhabitant rushed to the bank to register and deposit their money.

Apart from the Spirit Stones necessary for cultivation, many chose to store their wealth in the bank.

To them, their fortunes were secure with the Thousand Wealth Chamber Bank.

As for anyone thinking the chamber might trick them or steal all their wealth, no one entertained such thoughts.

With its fame and prestige, why would it resort to such a foolish act? Besides, the chamber was not short of funds.

Inside the newly renovated Governor's mansion, Mo Jian was having a casual chat with the Governor.

"Young Master, I must say you are becoming unfathomable with each day," the Governor praised.

"Haha. Governor, it's nothing. My chamber is simply trying to make people's lives easier," Mo Jian replied humbly.

"And indeed, you are making everyone's life easier," the Governor replied with a laugh, taking a sip from his spirit tea.

Just then, light footsteps came from outside the courtyard. Mo Jian and the Governor turned their heads and saw three sect masters walking in.

"Ah, Young Master has already arrived," said the Nine Mountain Sect Master in a deep voice. "Sorry for keeping you waiting."

"It's nothing. I just arrived," Mo Jian replied. He exchanged pleasantries with the other sect masters.

Taking their seats, they all began to discuss the state of the continent when the Frost Moon Sect Master spoke with a grave tone.

"Although our regions are currently safe, that is only temporary. Who knows what is happening in other regions?"

"That's right," the Governor nodded in agreement. "This is a dangerous time, and we cannot let our guard down. Compared to the Northern and Central Regions, I think our two regions are too weak."

"Then what can we do?" The Wind Spirit Sect Master sighed heavily. "Even if we want to protect our regions, with our current strength we cannot face the enemies."

"For the Evil Sect to brazenly attack the continent, the number of powerhouses among them must be high," he declared.

"What can we do against a powerhouse that can flatten our region with a single palm?"

Listening to him, the atmosphere grew heavy. The leaders could feel the immense pressure weighing on their shoulders.

They might be powerful within their own region, but on the grand scale of the continent, they were nothing. They were part of the lower force.

A single Intermediate Golden Core Expert would pose a dangerous threat to them. What about a Peak Golden Core Expert or a Nascent Soul Powerhouse?

Just thinking about it made them feel hopeless.

Yet Mo Jian sat quietly, calmly drinking his spirit tea. The Frost Moon Sect Master could not help but crease her brow.

"Young Master, do you have a solution to our current situation?" she probed.

Among them, only he and his Thousand Wealth Chamber could provide a solution if there was one.

When the others heard her, they looked up at Mo Jian, waiting to hear his plan.

Feeling their gaze, Mo Jian set his tea cup down and responded. "Why do you think I will have a solution?"

His voice was calm and casual. He knew she was probing him, and that was why he asked the question.

"Nothing, just my intuition. I felt the Young Master might have a way out of our current predicament," she replied, still watching Mo Jian's face.

"What if I do have a solution, and what if I don't? What does that matter to me?" Mo Jian fired back.

Her tone and gaze irked him for some reason. He could sense that the leaders were growing apathetic, assuming he would solve everything without effort.

Although he had signed an alliance with the three leaders to protect his chamber against other forces, he did not need their protection any longer.

He had already done more than they could afford.

Thus, he did not understand where she found the audacity to speak to him in that manner.

Listening to Mo Jian's sharp rebuttal, the Governor and the other sect masters realized he was growing irritated.

The Frost Moon Sect Master also realized her probing might have backfired.

She averted her gaze and looked to the Governor and the sect masters for help.

"Hahaha. Young Master, the Frost Moon sect master did not intend to annoy you," the Governor laughed, trying to defuse the rising tension.

"That's right," the Wind Spirit Sect Master quickly added. "You have to forgive her. She was merely worrying about our region."

Mo Jian listened to their pleas without changing his expression. He already had a way to protect his region.

Whether their region survived the current chaos had little to do with him.

As for money and alliances he might lose, that would matter little to him.

Just as he prepared to respond, his Spirit Link vibrated. He took it out and checked the notification.

Reading the message, he furrowed his brow and rose to his feet. He left the gathering in large strides, uncaring for the others.

Looking at his departure, each of the four leaders wore a different expression. Their somewhat fragile alliance had just fractured.

The Frost Moon Sect Master never expected the situation to develop this way.

She had only been probing harmlessly, but she never expected Mo Jian to take it the wrong way.

"What are we going to do?" the Governor asked in a solemn tone.

They had all gathered to discuss ways to protect their region from evil sects in other regions, but now…

"Do you need to ask?" The Nine Mountain Sect Master asked, his voice thick with displeasure.

...

Mo Jian sat inside his carriage as it departed the Governor's mansion. He held his Spirit Link and communicated with the Qiu Ancestor.

Listening to the Qiu Ancestor, his expression grew grim.
