CHAPTER 319: DEFENDING THE SOUTHERN REGION BORDER.

Two days later.

Tens of miles from the Southern Region border, a group of cultivators was flying at dazzling speed.

Their robes danced happily in the wind. Their faces were filled with confidence and arrogance.

As they drew nearer to the Southern Region, their speed slowed, and the group could not help but exchange light banter among themselves.

"Elder Hui, what do you think is going on in the Southern Region?" a middle-aged man in his mid-fifties asked.

"Do you need to ask? Those bastards must be enjoying themselves and forgetting about the grand plan," Elder Hui replied with a touch of annoyance.

"Elder Hui is right. We all know how delicious those tender mortals are," another man responded with a deep chuckle.

Hahaha.

The group laughed, each wearing a look of longing. With almost half of the continent falling into their hands, any one of them could satisfy their vile thoughts.

The cries and pleas of the weak mortals rang in their ears like a pleasing tune. For many years, they had been hunted and forced to hide like sewage rats, but not anymore.

"Ah! I can’t wait to reach the Southern Region to complete our mission and feast on some virgins. I’m craving them," a middle-aged woman, scantily dressed, muttered.

Looking at her ample cleavage and slim waist, all the men’s eyes brightened, their gazes lingering on her body with clear lewdness.

However, the men could only look. None dared to step closer to her, lest they be sucked dry the moment they did.

She might have seemed pleasing to the eye, but among them she was the cruelest. None of her prey remained alive — their vital energy had been sucked dry.

"Hahaha. I can imagine many young men would not hesitate to lay down their lives just to touch Elder Yue," a man said with a flattering smile.

Elder Yue giggled, shaking her two massive shelves of cleavage, making all the men swallow hard.

"Ah! What is that?" one of them exclaimed, pointing toward a particular direction.

Instantly, the evil cultivators turned their heads, squinting at each other. A slow, evil grin crept across their faces as they increased their speed.

Meanwhile, at the border of the Southern Region, the four leaders stood in the sky, looking in the direction of the incoming evil cultivators. Their expressions were grim.

"The Young Master..." the Wind Spirit Sect master muttered.

"Truly, the evil sect already knows something is wrong," the Governor added.

"I can see eight Golden Core Experts..." the Nine Mountain Sect Master stated.

"As long as we follow the plan, we should be able to handle them," the Frost Moon Sect Master said.

"Very well," the Governor nodded with a solemn expression.

A few minutes later, the evil cultivators arrived, stopping tens of meters from the four leaders.

"Hahaha. I’ve got to commend your confidence," Elder Hui sneered. "Do you think with your meager strength you can stop us?" He clicked his tongue in disdain.

"I bet they must be the last rats trying to escape, but where can they go? The continent already belongs to us," one of the evil cultivators added with a smirk.

"Enough of the chitchat. Those three men belong to me. I don’t care about the others," Elder Yue said impatiently and dashed toward the four leaders.

"Hahaha. I knew it—Elder Yue can’t wait to taste these fresh meats," one of them laughed and rushed to follow.

Elder Hui and the others shook their heads and rushed to join the battle. To them, the four leaders and those on the ground were nothing but fish on the chopping block.

Watching the incoming evil cultivators, the four leaders did not bother to speak as they spread out.

"Where are you going? Do you think you can escape from our claws?" a man shouted excitedly, leering at the Frost Moon Sect Master.

"Now!" a voice commanded.

Suddenly, a shimmering light erupted from the ground, covering everything. The eight evil cultivators were stunned; their savage expressions faltered.

"What is this?" they all thought, before a powerful pressure descended upon their bodies.

Ahhhh!

A miserable scream escaped the evil cultivators as five of them were sent hurled to the ground. The pressure was so great that they felt as if they were carrying a massive mountain.

For Elder Yue, Elder Hui, and the last Intermediate Golden Core Expert, they tried to withstand the overbearing pressure, but their efforts were futile.

Slowly, they were forced to the ground beneath the terrifying formation.

"What sort of formation is this?" Elder Yue muttered, her face filled with dread.

"This is a trap. We need to get out of the formation immediately," Elder Hui said in a grim voice.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Before the evil cultivators could react, the four leaders struck with their ace moves.

The Nine Mountain Sect Master and the Frost Moon Sect Master targeted the Intermediate Golden Core Experts.

"Huh! Don’t think you can take us down that easily," Elder Hui sneered and produced an artifact from his storage pouch—a shield.

"Useless..." the Nine Mountain Sect Master replied as he threw three punches.

Bang! Bang!

The artifact shattered under the terrifying blows, and Elder Hui was sent flying, blood spraying from his lips.

Elder Yue’s condition was no better. A portion of her left arm was already frozen, and her face contorted with dread.

She tried to flee, but the heavy pressure pressed down on their backs. Each movement required a heavy toll on their bodies.

Compared to the four leaders, who were free and could use all their strength, their actions were too slow.

Ahhhh! Ahhhh!

The Wind Spirit Sect Master’s dual daggers severed the heads of two evil cultivators as he rushed to his next target.

The Governor moved, not slow, and his weapon pierced the heart of another evil cultivator, pinning him to the ground.

Elder Hui was stunned and confused. He could not understand why things had turned out this way.

The continent had already belonged to them. Everything should have gone according to plan, but now...

Bang!

Elder Yue was frozen; her head severed from her neck while Elder Hui struggled frantically, unwilling to die, but the next punch from the Nine Mountain Sect Master pulverized his organs, sending him flying.

Watching the fallen evil cultivators, the four leaders looked at each other and smiled.

"The Young Master is really wise. As long as we follow the plan, we should be able to defend our border," the Governor muttered, his heart filled with excitement.

Thinking of Mo Jian, the Frost Moon Sect Master could not help but blush, but she quickly hid her emotion.
