Impossible to Resist: Mr. CEO Falling In Love
Chapter 111: Soothing Him (Part 1)
CHAPTER 111: CHAPTER 111: SOOTHING HIM (PART 1)
Noticing his emotional shift, Su Lingzhi was suddenly at a loss for words, staring at him blankly, recalling what she might have said wrong.
Until now, it was the first time she saw him look at her with such a sharp gaze, as if a chill swept in from all directions, making her very uncomfortable.
She urgently explained, "What I mean is, we’re a couple now, and couples should be open with each other. I haven’t done anything to betray you. You can’t just unjustly accuse me."
After saying this all at once, she cautiously observed him.
Soon, the force gripping her loosened a bit.
Fu Yinli completely let go, his eyes deep and heavy, "Since you know I’m possessive and can’t stand seeing you with other men, then why did you partner with another man for a CP, why did you participate in the voting? When you were among the men, did you ever consider my feelings?"
This questioning left Su Lingzhi speechless.
At the time, she thought if he saw her with James on the runway, he wouldn’t be happy.
She thought she had made her feelings clear, that even if he saw, he wouldn’t care about it, wouldn’t get jealous, but now it seemed that wasn’t the case.
He couldn’t stand it; his methods were still as extreme as before.
While she was silent, Fu Yinli released her, turned back to the sofa, sat down, and lit a cigarette, smoking quietly there.
The rising smoke seemed to form a fog wall between them, setting a distance.
Afterwards, he didn’t look at her at all, his attitude clearly allowing her to stay or leave as she wished.
Su Lingzhi’s throat was tight.
She didn’t like seeing him smoke, every time he did, it seemed like he was suppressing his emotions.
The matter of voting for the supermodel was indeed a lack of consideration from her, neglecting his feelings.
However, she truly had no ulterior motives.
After a battle in her mind, she walked over to him, pressing the hand holding the cigarette, trying to take it away.
He used force, and she couldn’t take it away.
She stubbornly reached for the burning end, Fu Yinli tilted his wrist, his gaze fixed on her hand trying to snatch the cigarette.
"Reckless."
When his sharp gaze met hers, Su Lingzhi felt instantly wronged, softly said, "Can you not smoke?"
He had just been so concerned about her safety, enough to prove that he cared for her.
Taking advantage of his affection, she managed to take his cigarette when he wasn’t paying attention and extinguished it in the crystal ashtray on the coffee table.
After the snatch, she found he wasn’t angry.
Su Lingzhi coaxed him, "Smoking is bad for your health, can you quit?"
The light in Fu Yinli’s eyes softened a bit, but his tone remained aloof, "You’re asking a lot today."
"Where did I ask a lot?"
Su Lingzhi leaned in front of him, her voice tender and clear as she pleaded her weakness, "Lili, since last night after we came back, I haven’t eaten anything. I’m getting a bit hungry now."
As she spoke, she brought his rough palm to her stomach, "It’s all shrunken."
Her body heat spread in his palm, like mist wrapping around, Fu Yinli’s eyes gradually filled with a rich glow, his gaze focused only on that delicate and beautiful face.
The way she acted coy was truly rare, her attempt to please him appeared slightly childish yet fresh, delighting him.
He withdrew his hand from her warmth with a cold face, "Find a servant, have her make it for you."
"But, I want to eat something you’ve made."
"I won’t."
Two words dismissed her.
Su Lingzhi suddenly had no idea what to do, looking at him aggrieved, racking her brains for a way to ease their relationship.
She half-crouched, almost reverently holding his hand, admitting her fault, "I’m sorry, it’s my fault, I didn’t consider your feelings. From now on, I’ll never go to places with many men, I won’t be influenced by anyone, and I’ll love only you sincerely."
Tiny sparks flickered in Fu Yinli’s calm eyes, gently striking his hard heart, thoroughly melting it, all because of her words about loving only him sincerely.
Su Lingzhi changed the topic, "But, you were also in the wrong."
As soon as she said this, Fu Yinli withdrew his hand, his expression returning to coldness.
Su Lingzhi froze.
Bringing up his faults, and he immediately showed a face...
She had absolutely no way to handle him.
Such a heartfelt confession, didn’t he feel touched at all?
Just as Su Lingzhi found herself at a loss, Fu Yinli stood up straight, lifted her off the ground, and asked in a deep and cold voice, "What do you want to eat?"
A gleam appeared in Su Lingzhi’s eyes, looking at him joyfully, "Are you cooking for me?"
"Mm."
"Whatever you make, I’ll eat."
Fu Yinli glanced at the lively smile in her eyes and turned towards the kitchen.
Su Lingzhi followed behind him like a sticky note, praising his skills.
Her clear voice filled the entire kitchen, transforming into sweetness piercing someone’s heart.
In less than fifteen minutes, the noodles were done.
Su Lingzhi hurriedly reached out to help, but was stopped by Fu Yinli.
"Wait outside."
Su Lingzhi obediently sat at the dining table, waiting for his service, her eyes closely following his busy figure.
Steam rose from the pot, and Fu Yinli calmly served two bowls of noodles, sitting beside her to accompany her.
Seeing her eating so hastily, Fu Yinli frowned and told her to slow down.
"It’s delicious. I didn’t realize Lili could cook."
She had just casually mentioned wanting to eat his cooking and didn’t expect it to come true.
She thought young masters like them never even touched a dish, and for someone like her who only knew how to wash vegetables and assist in the kitchen, it was quite impressive.
And, not to boast, but there was a unique flavor in the noodles he cooked.
As their eyes met, Fu Yinli suddenly raised his hand, his fingertip gently brushed her chin, wiping away that droplet of sauce.
Su Lingzhi quickly grabbed a napkin and wiped her lips, continuing to eat under that gradually indulgent and warm gaze.
Not a drop was left of the noodle soup Su Lingzhi ate.
She accepted his gesture of sincerity and didn’t dwell on the things he had done.
However, after the meal, she saw him quietly go to the backyard, sitting on the wicker chair, smoking again, seemingly addicted to cigarettes.
Su Lingzhi moved a chair to sit beside him, picking a grape to feed him.
Fu Yinli’s brows furrowed, "Not eating."
"For my sake." Su Lingzhi coaxed him.
Seeing this, it seemed she hadn’t completely appeased him, as he still looked deeply troubled.
When his dense gaze met hers, Su Lingzhi suddenly felt at a loss.
In the next second, the grape at her fingertips was taken by him, the fresh sweet and sour flavor bursting in his mouth, his Adam’s apple slowly moving, inadvertently intoxicating.
Just as Su Lingzhi averted her eyes, the back of her neck was grasped, the man leaned in, capturing her lips, slowly invading.
