She hadn’t walked far when Xiao Qing heard someone calling her from behind. She turned and saw Xiao Anze, who had apparently come out and was walking toward her.

She turned around and greeted him, "Brother, isn’t the ward over there? Why are you coming from this direction?" Xiao Qing pointed towards the direction behind her.

"Oh." She followed him back, "Brother, has Sister Yang Qiao woken up?"

Xiao Anze escorted Xiao Qing to the ward and then left, asking her to wait for him to come back, which she agreed to.

In the hospital bed, Yang Qiao slept quietly, her pale yet serene face evoking a sense of pity in Xiao Qing. She sat down by the bed, looked at Yang Qiao again, but found her staring back at her with wide eyes.

The person who should have been asleep suddenly opened her eyes, scaring Xiao Qing so much that she gasped and then said, "Sister Yang Qiao, you aren’t asleep?"

Yang Qiao so openly admitted her insomnia that Xiao Qing was at a loss for words for a moment.

Xiao Qing suddenly had a bad feeling, "What favor?"

"I want to go back to the Empire, but I don’t want your brother to know."
