Chapter 1664: Chapter 60: Luxury Spoils of War_3
“No way, you mean someone without any ability managed to survive till now?”
“That can’t be right. Judging by her combat performance, she has at least the proficiency of a Level 1 Hero. She might even be able to overpower Level 2 Heroes.”
“Don’t forget who her group leader is! I finally understand—wherever Tang Zheng is, miracles happen.”
“Exactly! And there’s the loli as well. I heard she’s the first child under ten years old in the Asia Region. Long ago, Hammer Squad even had a pregnant woman who survived nearly ten matches, almost giving birth during the process.”
The Conquerors murmured among themselves, casting glances at Hammer Squad. It must be said that the squad’s terrifying number of group members indeed made them the envy of all.
“Meiqin, Fei Fei, Xinlan, and Fanfan can all use it—they’re at Hero Level, their contributions aren’t lesser than yours!” Dantai rubbed his chin, contemplating whom to allocate the Fiery Stardust to for maximum enhancement. Yu Deye wasn’t even in the running; given his fickle nature, it would be a miracle if he wasn’t killed off.
While everyone was still deliberating, a sly voice suddenly broke the silence.
“Who do you think you are? What gives you the right to decide my fate?”
Everyone froze, staring incredulously at Yu Deye’s hand. The Stardust was struggling and roaring, “Let go of me, you stinking man!”
Yu Deye stared in disbelief. How could a prop be speaking? Then he remembered the item’s description—it possessed self-awareness. Just as he was about to ask a few questions about its status, unbearable searing heat emanated from the jewel, followed by a beam of light that shot through his palm.
“Ah!” Yu Deye screamed, clutching his scorched hand, his face turning an iron blue. “What just happened?!”
“Wow, Little Lolita, I like you.” Fiery Stardust suddenly whisked over to hover above Lu Fan’s head. “Ah, so my master has to be chosen from among you? Then it’s you.”
Lu Fan hadn’t even reacted before the jewel showered her in starlight-like radiant specks, engulfing her. Moments later, an extravagant magical outfit appeared on her body.
“Oh yeah, Magical Girl transformation complete!” The jewel morphed into a Magic Wand and flew directly into Lu Fan’s hand. “I can now destroy every piece of evil in the name of the moon!”
Lu Fan looked utterly exasperated. As a precocious girl, she had no fondness for Magical Girl transformation games—they were far too embarrassing!
“Where is the evil? My Wide-Area Magic Cannon is itching to strike!” The Magic Wand swirled about left and right, its head poking curiously as if eager for battle.
Whack! Lu Fan flung the wand onto the ground and, after some thought, stomped on it twice.
“Ah, that feels so good!” The wand let out a moan—it turned out to be a masochist (M).
Lu Fan ran over to Tang Zheng, putting on a face that clearly said, “I don’t know this wand.”
“Master, let’s go punish evil and promote goodness! With my assistance, you’ll become the most accomplished Magical Girl!” The wand babbled incessantly, trailing behind Lu Fan like a fawning puppy.
“What’s even going on?” Yu Deye was on the verge of exploding with rage.
Tang Zheng and Dantai both shrugged and made a helpless gesture in unison, though inwardly they were ready to burst out laughing.
“This one doesn’t need contention—it’s Xinlan’s.” Pang Meiqin grabbed a light orb, scanned it, and handed it over to Li Xinlan.
Moonlit Beauty, 3S-class, Unique Equipment, possessing frost aura that can freeze all earthly matter, unbreakable. Saves the user’s life energy and boosts skill effectiveness by two hundred percent!
It’s a buff-type equipment, but because of its frost aura, Li Xinlan’s usage would result in maximum efficacy!
“What’s the deal? Did I work for nothing?” Yu Deye grumbled, fixating on the final light orb and reaching out to grab it.
“Wait!” Several group leaders intervened, but their hands all passed through the orb, unable to grasp it.
“Haha, this belongs to Hammer Squad,” Yu Deye said smugly.
“Silver Trojan, this isn’t fair. Why do all the items belong to Hammer Squad?” The team ranked third on the scoreboard voiced their displeasure.
“Two of the items belong to Dragon King Group. Because they weren’t on the battlefield, they’re classified as retreating from combat, so the spoils go to Hammer Squad for allocation.”
Silver Trojan’s explanation left the leaders feeling sick with envy, jealousy, and hate toward Hammer Squad.
“Go ahead and gloat temporarily; I’ll definitely snitch later!” The third-ranked leader seethed inwardly, full of vengeful thoughts.
“What the—aren’t you screwing me over?” Yu Deye glanced at the light orb and froze in shock.
Dark Avalokitesvara Blood, 3S-class potion, extremely rare, with potent healing effects. Upon first use, it boosts all physical attributes of the user by twenty percent.
“Hey, quit hiding it already; hand it over!” Dong Zixuan had enough of Yu Deye’s antics. “Don’t you think you look like a petty thief? Tang Zheng can’t even be bothered to argue with you; otherwise, you wouldn’t even get a chance to touch the orb.”
“None of your business!” Yu Deye roared angrily but ultimately handed it over. Such an item couldn’t be monopolized—trying to do so would only make him the target of public outrage.
“Dantai, divide it based on portions—give everyone one sip!” Tang Zheng slumped to the ground, utterly exhausted.
“This potion’s effect is insane. A twenty-percent boost to base stats—how strong will the body become afterward?” Zhu Xiaolei looked at Tang Zheng. “With his physical endurance, he’d be able to withstand the attacks of most Level 3 Heroes.”
“Hammer Squad made a colossal gain this time—their overall power has surged. Once this mission wraps up, they’re sure to rank in the top three for the Asia Region!”
Zhang Anyuan’s observation earned unanimous agreement. Even Dragon King Group would likely avoid provoking such a team without significant incentive.
“Tang Group Leader, I’ll offer one 3S-class equipment in exchange for one sip of Avalokitesvara Blood.” Zhao Group Leader smiled warmly, demonstrating magnanimity. “If that’s not enough, just name your price!”
The leaders quickly caught on and began proposing trades. The variety of items they offered was dazzling and tempting. Some group members also wanted to barter but retreated after hearing the high bids—they couldn’t match the leaders’ deep pockets.
“Sorry, non-negotiable.” Tang Zheng turned them down. Hammer Squad didn’t lack equipment; what they were short on were healing potions.
Before anyone could lobby further, a teleportation suddenly engaged.
When their vision cleared, the remaining Trojan Squad appeared atop a desolate snow-capped mountain peak.
They stood inside an extinct volcanic crater, piled high with perpetual snow. Beneath them lay a lake frozen into solid ice!
“So beautiful!” The women exclaimed in awe, gazing across the landscape of towering mountains, pristine white snow, and a few majestic eagles soaring across the azure sky. (To be continued.
