CHAPTER 36: CAUSING A COMMOTION!

Chapter 36: Causing a Commotion!

"Someone got out." A voice spoke out once the figure of Ken walked out of the gate.

"Huh? Already? There should still be a minute left." Another said.

"Yeah, but there’s someone coming out." Yet another voice replied, and hands started pointing as Ken looked around, smiled, and started walking towards the exit.

"How could this be? Does the tower have a problem?" One asked.

"No, it should be a more logical reason; maybe he got a higher score than others; otherwise, it makes no sense." Someone gave a reasonable explanation.

And once this happened, people couldn’t stop speaking.

"That makes sense. What do you think his score is?"

"Should I befriend him? If that’s true, then he probably has the highest score this year.

"Keep an eye on him and also remember his face; maybe the young master will be interested in him."

"Do as you were told; the young lady won’t like it if we don’t give her such news.

"Wait till the results are out; then we can know for sure."

These were the students.

Some, having already formed factions and groups in the first year, had all kinds of organized systems, giving new disciples a lot of tasks that had nothing to do with the sect.

The receptionists, who were seniors and had more information, knew that the only reason for Ken to come out early is for him to get a high score, and having information regarding that genius who had achieved the highest S-rank score, they knew that he was able to get into the inner sect with relative ease compared to all other disciples.

But they also knew that that disciple struggled to get that same rank ever again, as it became harder and harder to do so.

Darek, who was too lazy to get up from his place, had stayed here for another hour, and upon seeing Ken come out first, his mind started thinking of all kinds of possibilities.

’He came out already? Did he get a high rank? No wonder, I wasn’t wrong by giving him an S-rank difficulty.’ He then remained silent, watching Ken as he got out of the tower.

’That ring... he didn’t have it when he wa next to me.’ He noticed.

’A spatial storage ring? Can you even get that as a mission reward?’

’No matter, he’s too dangerous; I need to be careful in case I meet him again.’

And when Ken left, the remaining disciples watched patiently, intent on knowing his rank.

And once the results showed up, a commotion started brewing.

[----------------------------------]

The difference between first and 2nd place was huge, and from third place downward there wasn’t even anyone worth mentioning.

"S-rank! S-rank! That’s crazy! Even our young master barely got A-rank, and he spent 7 days nagging us, saying it was too hard."

"Idiot, shut up! Don’t speak of such things here."

"He really is S-rank." A receptionist looked at the score and couldn’t help but speak."

"Seriously... I don’t think I can get a similar rank even if you put the current me inside."

"Some monsters are really too different from us normal people."

"Hey hey, what do you think he got as a reward?"

"Damn, now that I think about it... should I try and become his girlfriend? He doesn’t look like he has one."

"Girl, don’t even try; there are probably countless girls better than you after him now."

"... Maybe he’s into older girls?"

As the receptionists and the new disciples figured out plans to get on the good side of Ken, others ran to inform their young masters and friends.

Darek, who understood just how hard it was to get S-rank, stood there in his place.

"So it really was him." He said.

To be truthful, Darek wasn’t sure if it really was Ken or not, as even though he recognized his form and the way he carried himself due to analyzing him way too much, he wasn’t sure.

His face was... How can he even describe it?

"Ken..." With these last words said, Darek’s expression turned serious, and he got up to leave.

As this happened, news traversed through the entire outer sect, reaching elders before disciples, and once it did reach the elders, things took a wide turn.

Beyond the fog that separated the ordinary from the mystical were mountains carved with artifacts, formations painted in the air, and spirits of far greater grandeur than the disciples could lay eyes on.

This was the realm of the outer sect elders, the realm of sect personnel who had reached the next realm of strength and wisdom.

Here, everything was far more than meets the eye; every word spoken needed to be interpreted twice, every move taken needed to be studied thrice, and every decision held far greater of an effect than that of a regular person.

"Master, news came that a new disciple has achieved a higher rank than the record." In front of a cave within the peak of a mountain, above clouds and with giant golden spirit birds circling around, a disciple wearing a slightly reddish robe with golden engravings and with his long hair tied with a phoenix hairclip holding it together stood respectfully.

His gaze not daring to look in front of him as a golden barrier stopped any eyes from gazing inside of the cave, and anyone who dared got blinded in seconds.

"..."

No words came for 5 seconds before 2 words were spoken ever so slowly as if the one who let them out had no worries about time and as if he had never been interrupted in his life.

"Go on." The level of majesty that followed these two words couldn’t be exaggerated.
