Chapter 76: Opening the VIP Room!

The 6th day of the week came, and Ken was going along with his day normally as if nothing mattered, but his staff colleagues weren’t the same.

They were happily jumping and energetic, helping out disciples more than ever, and whenever they got the chance, they spoke about the event happening today.

Adam had also told them the next day that whoever wanted to come and was invited could enter and leave the room whenever they wanted.

But they, as the main guests, should be there from the start of the event to its end.

This made the staff feel important, and who wouldn’t? Just because they knew Ken and were his staff members and worked with Adam, they had such privileges?

Just this alone would make one want to trade his soul to get a chance to work on this library; alas, the time to recruit was long gone, and it wouldn’t come back until 12 years later or if one of the staff members died or left.

Thus, they were happy the entire week, but even more so this day.

Just imagine, some official disciples and even inner sect elders have announced their arrival!

How crazy was this? It almost never happened; at most, there were one or two such important individuals. Now there are at least 6 inner sect elders, and these are the ones who officially announced their arrival.

The official disciples were in the dozen; such people weren’t even known by their names due to how great they were. Some outer sect disciples didn’t even know their status existed.

This event continued showing its importance day by day.

Ken looked at this throughout the day and smiled to himself.

He was more than looking forward to it.

He had invited his elder master, and look and behold, the old master was already planning on coming.

Then today, he had been provided info on some very, very high-echelon individuals coming to visit behind veils.

This made Adam surprised, shocked, and then serious as the VIP room was officially opened for an entire week, the other disciples were also allowed entry, and the entire sect entered into a heated discussion and preparation for the event.

This was because after the inner sect disciples announced their visit, the sect made this event official and also funded it, making it easier for Adam’s side.

The entire Entertainment Core, the village of luxury within the heart of the sect, went into renovation and closed to prepare for the event, not allowing entry since the 4th of the week.

Insider information told the group of staff that the sect wanted to make good use of this chance to profit as much as possible; thus, the one-day event that was supposed to congratulate Ken on successfully clearing a mission turned into a week-long sectwide event.

A first-time event for the ten-thousand-year-old sect. The greatest of minds within the sect, from new disciples to known monsters, innovated designs and products and used this chance to rise to glory.

The rooms and stores, as well as stalls within the Entertainment Core, were rented in bulk, and Adam was once seen smiling absent-mindedly while speaking about how much he’d make.

Adam benefitted, the sect profited, and the disciples were entertained, and all of this because of Ken.

Ken, who was thinking of studying each and every echelon of the sect, from the elite of his batch to inner sect elders.

He was going to confront those who wanted to take him in as a disciple and make sure that his journey here on the sect would never be smoother.

But in such events, danger could also be rampant.

Sure, he wasn’t worried about some idiot causing him trouble, as that would cause the entire sect to turn against him, but when an entire sect focused on something, that attention ought to cause problems and be noticed by enemies.

When in the center of individuals who could see, understand, and plan far beyond what you could even with heaven-defying cheats.

And when in the middle of countless stares.

Danger was always around the corner, and Ken already knew of outside forces planning to use this chance to attack him and the sect and even inside forces wanting to use this event to settle old grudges that had absolutely nothing to do with him.

Whether this would affect him, his plans, and his growth; whether it would cause him short- or long-term problems; or whether he would come out as the winner and benefit against all odds... was yet to be seen.

But he couldn’t be ignorant; he couldn’t be unprepared, he couldn’t not benefit, and he sure as hell couldn’t be stripped of his control.

And thus, night came.

The sect were all moving in one direction, and all minds were focused on one event, one individual.

The spirits were dancing, and they too didn’t fail to notice the commotion and were planning on visiting the event.

Their relationship with cultivators allowed them this much, and due to their special form, they could and were welcomed to join the event anytime and whenever.

Eyes and hands unseen by all were watching and moving; actions unspoken were unfolding, and words unheard were said.

It was as if the whole world was waking up while the sun itself was setting.

The night was sure going to be interesting, and the whole week after it would be full of surprises.

The Entertainment Core, almost on point, opened its gates for more gates than it had ever seen at once.

Lamps lit up, spirits flew, formations turned, and projections floated for the world to see.

Stores, stalls, and pavilions, and all that was closed one by one, showed their new colors and forms and surprised the audience with a scene they weren’t used to.

Every building, every inch, every image was different from how it was normally.

Outer sect disciples, inner sect disciples, core, and official disciples all arrived.

Some walked in, some floated in, and some were already there.

And then... on the top floor of the greatest establishment in this land...

The VIP room opened its doors.
