CHAPTER 111: MARTIN BLAKE

Jayden went back to Dominion Island after what happened on campus. He didn’t take that case as a really serious one, definitely because he would get to the root of it without stress.

Right now, he had to get prepared for whatever would be happening in the country in a few days.

There was a chance of stopping the already rising civil war, and there was a chance of igniting the sparks that would kickstart it.

Jayden was in the middle of making the decision, one that can cause a huge defect if he goes wrong.

The ladies arrived at night as usual, and after a long meeting with them, the first plan was to meet up with the top party that was fighting for the freedom of the Nortasian people.

Freedom Party.

Jayden had always heard about them, but they weren’t the kind that ranted around as the King was never easy on them when he got his hands on one.

The Freedom Party had been the ones preparing the rebellion, no doubt, even though it was termed to be alleged news.

The fact was that there were many armed forces that had been secretly organised by some unknown figures and had been terrorising society all in the name of freedom and allowance for democracy.

The Night Men stood out, and had really been the ones who many thought were being sponsored by the Freedom Party, including Jayden.

Harper, Becky, and Camilia were sent to meet up with the leader of the Freedom Party, the man who would be president if they managed to succeed with their goals.

Martin Blake.

A retired military man who was said to cherish the rule of law more than his life.

Enough with the democratic talks, he just wanted a better government, and had clearly stated that he was the only one who could grant Nortasia the kind of rulership they wanted.

More than half the nation believed in him, especially the less privileged who lived in rural or disaster-struck areas that were abandoned.

There were a lot, which had given the Freedom Party the upper hand when it came to the side with the highest supporters.

All they lacked was good and enough arms to strike, and it wasn’t something that could be sorted quickly. The King spent more money on weapons and armies than any other thing in the country, and there was no one that could dare to stand against him.

No force.

That’s why even after so many years, he still remained ruler.

But that time... is over.

"It’s over when I say it’s over," Jayden said.

...

The Freedom Party was already informed about the visit of Trigger, Clave, and Frontline, so they were nice enough to render a good welcome.

Martin Blake waited at the entrance for them to arrive, and when the Rolls Royce pulled up, he was the first to give them a hand as they headed in.

This headquarters was located in Minsori, a state far in northwestern Nortasia, where the King might not trouble them, and where they were most welcomed. Because in the top cities, no one cared about the democratic or royal cases.

Wealthy people didn’t feel a thing about it, and it was only the third-class citizens who were stepping up, and a divided rate of the second-class.

"Welcome, Miss Frontline, Miss Trigger, and Miss Clave," Martin greeted respectfully, as he gave them a straight diplomatic look.

"Thank you very much, Mister Martin. Can we get to business right away?" Camilia said with a soft, polite tone while she smiled.

"Yeah, okay... Sure."

They were all led by Martin to his conference office where five other men joined them. They were all introduced to the ladies, as those men were key members in the party.

And then they went straight to the conversation.

"The Dominus has always wanted democratic rule, just like you, Mister Martin," Camilia began.

Martin smiled with an excited nod.

"That’s why he has sent us here today, to have a straight discussion with you. The message is clear. Facing off with the King and the nation’s armed forces is no easy feat at all, but he will help you. We have two easy ways..."

Camilia paused and then continued. "One is to supply as many weapons as required to face the military, because we have them. Durable and potent weapons that are five times better than the military rifles..."

Martin appeared to smile at that, his face brightening in excitement as he heard that.

Surely what more can one expect from the man who wanted arms support from the very beginning... the one thing that many believed was keeping him from making his move...

"The second one," Camilia continued. "We can just end the Royal Council easily, just like that... We would have to find a way to trespass into his intense security facility, but we can find a way to do that. That way, only the King and his Council will be eliminated, and we can just declare democracy with that."

Martin’s eyes dilated at that. He took a moment thinking wide, but he didn’t want to sound like someone who wanted violence in the end.

He had to go soft.

"Maybe the second..."

"Are you sure about that choice, Mister Martin? Okay, maybe we should give you a day to think about it. You are the leader of the Freedom Party, and it’s your right to make any choice. We’ll be back tomorrow," Camilia stated.

The three Core members didn’t even spend any more time as they left the scene immediately. This was how they moved... they never wasted time in meetings, based on security reasons, surely.

Martin Blake openly accepted to think about it, but his heart was completely full at that point.

When the convoy of The Core disappeared into the distance, he quickly signaled his men, as one of them rushed over.

An evil smile suddenly emerged on his face, as he wryly twitched.

He then spoke to the man, who was the only one in the room at that point.

"Contact the King. Tell him about everything that happened here," he gave a scoff as he said. "Tell him The Dominus might try to kill him..."

"Tell him about the weapons..."

And then as the man left, he muttered to himself.

"Democracy can kiss my ass..."
