CHAPTER 543: CHAPTER 543 - A LOVE SQUARE? (PART 2)

Once Marius has sat back down, I finally looked at him and asked a direct question. I simply asked why he was treating the two new guys like that when it was my decision to teleport them inside the sanctuary in advance. His eyes widened as he heard my question since I bet he must have thought that I will take his side.

Before he could even reply, I told him off directly, "If you have questions or complaints about anything that is happening in the sanctuary, direct it all to me. Being bratty and glaring at others is just plain childish. Inviting Levi and his people here and teleporting these two with their respective groups to Marahuyo ahead of everybody else are both my decisions. Shouldn’t it be plain, simple and fair to ask me about it instead of waging a silent war?"

Marius scoffed and looked away but he did ask me his questions. Perhaps, he even has too many questions compared to what I expected him to have. The theme of the whole barrage was of course came from his jealousy of course.

With a forcibly calmed voice he directed a barrage at me, "You said I should ask you right? Sure, I will gladly do that." He paused for a bit and then looked at the two other men in the room then back at me.

He made a deep breath to forcibly calm himself again and then he started asking, "Make sure to answer each one of them then. Why did you bring this man (he pointed at Levi) here when he is not on the list? Why does this man’s (he pointed at Lir) body smell like you? And though you thought I would not notice, you teleported them ahead of everybody to delay our meeting, right?"

I chuckled at the three questions then made a brief look at Lir and Levi giving them a playful wink each. I looked at the Marius again and I did answer his barrage of questions directly and honestly.

I smiled at Marius and replied with brutal honesty, even when the two men involved are in the room. Marius also smiled for some reason as if he was feeling confident that I would deny my involvement with the two and clear my relationship with him instead.

I started speaking, making sure that every word is clear as I said, "As for Levi, he offered a lot of money and a business partnership in exchange for being brought out of Ceryneia safely. I saw that he is indeed a talented businessman and I plan to let him do business in Sohmiren."

I paused for a bit as I saw Marius send a smug look and a smirk towards Levi’s way. Levi simply looked at him with one raised eyebrow and a blank face.

His countenance froze though as I added, "He has told me that he is interest in being my husband and he is willing to give me all his wealth if that happens. I must say I was very tempted since who doesn’t want a wealthy, smart and handsome husband, you know?"

Before he could recover from my blunt answer about Levi, I continued, "As for Lir, he did not lie when he told you that he was with me before he teleported. As to why he smells like me, we did share the same room when I was staying in an inn inside Cobalt City."

This time both Levi and Marius looked at both me and Lir with mouths agape. Levi stutteredly asked, "You- him- same room- Why? You can pay for separate rooms-"

I smiled and responded, "To answer that question, he said he is fine with sharing a room with me. Surely, I can afford two rooms but for his safety, I had to stay with him. I triggered his heat for some reason. And before your minds wander further, NO, I did not touch him.... Not yet..."

Marius this time asked with gritted teeth, "What do you mean by "triggered his heat"? What does that "not yet" at the end of your answer even mean? You want to do him, huh?"

I ignored the follow up questions and continued to answer the last one from the earlier batch, "To answer the previous question, I teleported them in advance for their safety. These two have people spying on them all the time as if someone is making sure that they won’t be able to leave Ceryneia even if they wanted to. As to your accusation that I wanted to delay your meeting, does it matter if you meet now, later or the next day? You will all live in the same sanctuary anyway and will be seeing each other almost everyday from now on."

Marius laughed sarcastically as if he was trying to let out his anger. He looked at me like I was saying nonsense.

I continued, "As for triggering his heat, I mean it as it is. We kind of ended up kissing then it happened. As for "not yet" and doing him, why not? He seems to be willing. The only reason why I haven’t touched him is because he looked too weak. I need to plump him up a bit first."

Lir answered with a chuckle, "Noted! I will eat well from now on so you can also eat me too afterwards."

Levi then with an innocent face pointed at himself and asked, "Are you going to do me too?"

I looked at each of them then couldn’t help but laugh loudly. As for Marius, why do I feel like he got a taste of his own medicine. I remember him being bratty and feisty towards my pregnant husbands before too.

I then heard a sad murmur from Marius, "What about me? What am I to you amidst all these things and these men?"

I stopped laughing and looked at him seriously then answered, "I think you three are on the same situation right now. We can all agree that you want to be with me but I technically have not accepted any of you yet. There is no point of acting angry and jealous since at the end of the day, none of you have the "husband" title anyways"

Levi and Lir nodded in agreement but there was a scary fire in their eyes that sent shivers down my spine. I think this rivalry has just gotten even more intense with what I just said though I did not intend for it to come that way.

With us having talked about the issues, well, Marius’ issues to be exact, we went to the next topic at hand. I told them that Lir and his family will be moving in one of the villas near mine. Marius eyes widened in surprise and this time, he did not take too much time to think and just blurted out that he wanted to live in one of the villas too. I agreed readily since there are eight villas anyways so there is ample space for everyone.

Levi raised his hand gradually so I looked at him in confusion. He shyly asked if he can also move to one of the villas as well together with his close aides. I readily agreed as well.

Now that I think about it, these villa has always symbolized the status of men within the sanctuary. If you are allowed to live in one of the villas, it simply means that the owner of the sanctuary which was me has already started considering you as a potential husband.

To be fair, I guess I will have to bring in the others that have expressed their interest in being with me from the other beast men tribes. I don’t want them to think that I am having some sort of favoritism towards the merfolks.

I did not say anything about my thoughts with the trio in front of me who were currently pre-occupied with their happiness of living in one of the villa near me. I stood up and told them that I will teleport them back to the plaza so they can tell their people about the house that has been assigned to them. The trio nodded their heads and then I immediately sent them on their merry ways.

As for me, I teleported straight to the meeting hall then called on to the elders, representatives from each of the beast men tribes present in the sanctuary. I have told them about the earlier decision I have made after giving permission to the three merfolk men to live in the villas that were previously occupied by my husbands.

The elders were surprised and happy to hear that I finally considered officially accepting the wishes of some of the beast men that expressed their decision to offer themselves to me. I told them that I would like to call for another meeting with these men to check if they have not changed their minds since the last time we had conversations.

Once I have the final number of people who still wanted to try their luck on being with me, I will simply let them decide amongst themselves as to who would live with each other. I can allot a few of the five remaining villas to them and their families. I believe that there should be enough space to shelter all of them.
